APPLYING PULSED ELECTRIC FIELDS IN THE TREATMENT OF NEURAL DISORDERS
Damaged, diseased, abnormal, obstructive, cancerous or undesired neural tissue treated by delivering specialized pulsed electric field (PEF) energy to target tissue areas. In some instances, the target tissue includes a tumor, a benign tumor, a malignant tumor, a cyst, or an area of diseased tissue. Most brain and spinal cord tumors develop from glial cells. These tumors are sometimes referred to as a group called gliomas. They arise from the supporting cells of the brain, called the glia. These cells are subdivided into astrocytes, ependymal cells and oligodendroglial cells (or oligos). One difficulty in the treatment of gliomas is that they are behind the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and blood-tumor barrier (BTB) which leads to poor delivery of anti-cancer drugs or immune agents to the tumor-infiltrated brain. Devices, systems and methods are provided that treat the tumor directly, such as by ablation, and optionally transiently disrupt the BBB coupled with adjuvant antibody, biologic, or other pharmaceutical interventions.

Tissue-stimulating method using spatial scanning of electric and magnetic fields
This disclosure refers to methods and devices for electromagnetic stimulation of tissues. Some methods comprising the steps: a) disposing an arrangement of electromagnetic transducers encompassing a volume containing a tissue; b) applying an electromagnetic field stimulus to a tissue through the arrangement of electromagnetic transducers according to an activation pattern for a period of time; wherein the activation pattern allows to vary the intensity and direction of the electromagnetic field vector. Some devices comprising: a computing unit, an external power source connected to the computing unit; a decoupling circuit connected to the external power source and to the computing unit; a switching circuit connected to the external power source, to the decoupling circuit and to the computing unit; an arrangement of electromagnetic transducers connected to the computing unit and to the de switching circuit; wherein the computing unit implements the methods of the disclosure for electromagnetic stimulation of tissues.
Delivery device with coaxial cable, apparatus comprising said device and method
The device includes an outer conductor and an inner conductor arranged approximately coaxial with each other. The outer conductor surrounds the inner conductor. The outer conductor and the inner conductor are arranged and configured to generate an electromagnetic field with lines of force extending from a front surface of the inner conductor to a front surface of the outer conductor. The device further includes an energy delivery window arranged in front of the outer conductor and the inner conductor.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FOR TREATMENT OF A SUBJECT
The systems and methods of this disclosure are directed to the treatment of disease states, and particularly different types of cancer, by application of low energy emission therapy. The device and method provide treatments of disease states in a patient, and particularly of cancer types, by the application to the patient of particular and disease-specific low energy high frequency radiation. The device uses a high precision frequency synthesizer to generate radio frequency radiation that is amplitude-modulated at identified tumor-specific frequencies for application to the patient during therapy.

A method and apparatus for treating pre-ulcerative lesions is disclosed. In some embodiments, pre-ulcerative lesions, which may include unerupted diabetic foot ulcers, unerupted pressure ulcers, and venous leg ulcers, may be detected and located prior to ulceration. A high-power pulsed electromagnetic field therapy may be provided to the location of the pre-ulcerative lesion.
Methods, apparatuses, and systems for inductive heating of foreign metallic implants
Methods, apparatuses, systems, and implementations for inductive heating of a foreign metallic implant are disclosed. A foreign metallic implant may be heated via AMF pulses to ensure that the surface of the foreign metallic implant heats in a uniform manner. As the surface temperature of the foreign metallic implant rises, acoustic signatures may be detected by acoustic sensors that may indicate that tissue may be heating to an undesirable level approaching a boiling point. Once these acoustic signatures are detected, the AMF pulses may be shut off for a time period to allow the surface temperature of the implant to cool before applying additional AMF pulses. In this manner, the surface temperature of a foreign metallic implant may be uniformly heated to a temperature adequate to treat bacterial biofilm buildup on the surface of the foreign metallic implant without damaging surrounding tissue. The AMF pulse treatment can be combined with an antibacterial/antimicrobial treatment regimen to reduce the time and/or antibacterial dosage amount needed to remove the biofilm from the metallic implant.
