ARTIFICIAL DEFECT MATERIAL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF FRP STRUCTURE
In an artificial defect material 10 of an FRP structure, a heat-resistant high-linear-expansion material 20 arranged between the layers thermally expands in case of high-temperature shaping of the FRP structure, so that a predetermined shape is shaped between a plurality of layers of the fiber reinforcing base material 14 and the material 20 thermally shrinks at the room temperature after the shaping, so that a space is formed due to the shrinkage difference from the fiber reinforcing base materials 14. The material 20 has a linear expansion coefficient larger than that of the FRP structure by a predetermined value or more, and has the shape keeping property and the heat resistance to endure the shaping temperature.
Electromagnetic Radiation Shielding Tile
In some examples, an electromagnetic (EM) shielding tile is described. The EM radiation shielding tile may include one or more of an EM radiation shielding fabric layer, a mu metal layer, and/or a microwave absorbing layer. In some cases, the EM radiation shielding tile may be configured to bond to clothing, electronic devices, or other objects to deflect and/or absorb electromagnetic field radiation.
MOLDED ARTICLE COMPRISING THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION
According to the present invention, provided are a molded article formed of a thermoplastic resin composition, the molded article having a mean deviation of surface frictional coefficient of 0.02 or more and 0.08 or less, a mean deviation of surface roughness of 4 μm or more and 12 μm or less, a work of compression of 0.05 gf.Math.cm/cm.sup.2 or more and 0.30 gf.Math.cm/cm.sup.2 or less, a bulk density of 0.20 g/cm.sup.3 or more and 0.70 g/cm.sup.3 or less, an area ratio of through-holes of less than 3%, and a thickness of 10 μm or more and 1000 μm or less, and a laminate having the molded article.
RESIN COMPOSITION, MOLDED PRODUCT OF RESIN COMPOSITION, AND JOINT STRUCTURE OF MOLDED PRODUCT OF RESIN COMPOSITION
A resin composition includes a polyamide resin, and a graphene oxide.
DAUER PACKAGING MATERIAL AND ASSEMBLY
A packaging material and assembly are generally disclosed. In use, a multi-layered packaging comprises a first layer of corrugated material, a second layer, a third layer, a fourth layer, and a fifth layer of corrugated material. Additionally, a first bonding material bonds the second layer in between the first layer and the third layer, and a second bonding material bonds the fourth layer in between the third layer and the fifth layer.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A LIGHTWEIGHT LAMINATE
A method of producing a laminated article comprising placing a first metal skin, a core, and a second metal skin freely onto each other as discreet layers to provide a layered component; and forming the layered component into a shaped article via a die prior to producing a laminated article by applying pressure and heat to the shaped article, wherein at least the first skin moves relative to the core and/or second skin during the forming.
Light Emitting Device for Emitting Diffuse Ultraviolet Light
A diffusive layer including a laminate of a plurality of transparent films is provided. At least one of the plurality of transparent films includes a plurality of diffusive elements with a concentration that is less than a percolation threshold. The plurality of diffusive elements are optical elements that diffuse light that is impinging on such element. The plurality of diffusive elements can be diffusively reflective, diffusively transmitting or combination of both. The plurality of diffusive elements can include fibers, grains, domains, and/or the like. The at least one film can also include a powder material for improving the diffusive emission of radiation and a plurality of particles that are fluorescent when exposed to radiation.
Protective Garments
Garments made from a composite, protective fabric are disclosed. The composite fabric has textile layers placed in proximity to metallic mesh layers of woven stainless steel mesh. The metal mesh layers formed from any metal which forms suitable fibers. The textile layers are fabric formed with well-known fabric fibers selected from those including para-aramid fibers, meta-aramid fibers, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fibers, polyethylene terephthalate fibers, cellulose fibers, polyamide fibers, a mixture of para-aramid fibers and meta-aramid fibers, and a mixture of para-aramid fibers and carbon fibers. Forming the non-metal textile layers is by any suitable method for interlacing yarns including weaving, knitting, crocheting, knotting, or felting, or combinations thereof. The garments made using the fabric include gloves, bullet proof vests and chain-saw resistant trousers.
Sound absorption/insulation honeycomb panel
For forming a sound absorption/insulation honeycomb panel by stacking an air-permeable material, a honeycomb material filled with a sound absorption material and a reflector, and adhesively joining these materials, it is hard to join the honeycomb material and the air-permeable material adhesively due to a thin wall surface of the honeycomb material and a resultant line to surface adhesive joint therebetween, causing a problem of low adhesive strength. By using a water absorption honeycomb material, an adhesive joint is formed with an adhesive joint area increased by dipping an end of a wall surface of a cell forming the water absorption honeycomb material into a water-soluble adhesive, making the end flexible over a fixed period of time, and then pressing the end strongly against an air-permeable material as a counterpart of the adhesive joint to deform a tip into an inverted T-shape.
Casing having a non-axisymmetric composite wall
Walls of gas turbine engine casings, fan cases, and methods for forming walls, e.g., fan case walls, are provided. For example, a wall comprises a plurality of composite plies arranged in a ply layup. The wall is annular and circumferentially segmented into a plurality of regions that include at least one first region and at least one second region. The ply layup in the first and second regions is different such that the ply layup is non-axisymmetric. An exemplary fan case comprises an annular inner shell, a filler layer, an annular back sheet, and an annular outer layer. The back sheet is circumferentially segmented into a plurality of regions, including at least one first region and at least one second region, and comprises a plurality of composite plies arranged in a ply layup that is different in the first and second regions such that the ply layup is non-axisymmetric.
