20220018140 · 2022-01-20 ·

In the field of decorative floor coverings, decorative panels are known having a MDF (Medium Density Board) or HDF (High Density Board) based core layer on top of which a decorative substrate is attached to provide the panels a desired appearance. The invention relates to a panel, in particular a decorative panel, a floor panel, a ceiling panel or a wall panel. The invention also relates to a floor covering consisting of a plurality of mutually coupled panels.

Layered product comprising superabsorbent polymer

A layered product including at least one natural fiber layer including a web of natural fibers and at least one SAP layer including a non-woven substrate including a thermoplastic polymer fibers and a superabsorbent polymer adhered to thermoplastic polymer fibers, wherein the non-woven substrate is a high loft fabric, for example an airlaid or spunlaid non-woven, and wherein the natural fiber layer and the SAP layer are connected to each other by needle punching, stitch bonding or using an adhesive. A process to prepare the layered product and the use of the layered product in for example horticulture.

Disclosed herein is an improved cover board product with a panel comprising a top surface layer comprised of paper or a fiberglass web; a bottom surface layer comprised of paper, a fiberglass web, nylon film, polyester film, polypropene film, or textiles; and a core layer comprised of paper and thermoplastic fragments connected by a thermoplastic bonding resin. The thermoplastic bonding resin is in a random pattern to less than 100% of the paper and thermoplastic fragment surface area.

Cementitious Panels with Swellable Materials and Methods of Providing a Moisture or Water Barrier in Cementitious Panels Using Swellable Materials

Provided are cementitious panel that include a swellable material within a core layer, a dense layer, and/or a sheet of facing material that make up a cementitious panel, as well as methods of manufacturing such cementitious panels that include a swellable material and methods of providing a moisture or water barrier in a cementitious panel.

Pith filled honeycomb insulating panels and packages

A biodegradable insulating panel for a package includes a first layer of biodegradable material, a second layer of biodegradable material opposite the first layer, a moisture repellant layer, a biodegradable honeycomb core, and granulated pith. The moisture repellant layer is disposed on exterior surfaces of the first and second layers. The biodegradable honeycomb core is disposed between the first and second layers. The granulated pith is disposed within the honeycomb core to increase the resistance to heat flow of the panel. The biodegradable insulating panel has a density no greater than about 300 kg/m.sup.3. A biodegradable insulating package includes a plurality of insulating panels. The biodegradable insulating package is thermally insulating such that a temperature of an item disposed in the package increases no greater than 0.24° C./min (e.g., during ASTM D3103 test).

The present invention aims to provide an adhesive composition having excellent adhesive property and excellent anti-fogging property by way of simple and easy means such as co-extrusion with a substrate film, extrusion coating, solvent coating, etc. According to the present invention, there is provided an adhesive composition, characterized in that it contains a polyester resin (A) and an anti-fogging agent (C), and satisfies the following requirement (1): (1) Glass transition temperature of the polyester resin (A) is from −30 to 30° C.

Method of producing a veneered element

A method of producing a veneered element, including providing a substrate, applying a sub-layer on a surface of the substrate, applying a veneer layer on the sub-layer, and applying pressure to the veneer layer and/or the substrate, such that at least a portion of the sub-layer permeates through the veneer layer. Also, such a veneered element.

Compostable wood composite material

A container for cosmetic products and a method of manufacturing the same. The container, such as a jar, has a wall formed by a first layer of a compostable material which comprises in combination a biodegradable polymer which forms a continuous matrix and, mixed therein, particles of a hydrophilic material capable of swelling inside the matrix upon water absorption. The container further comprises a second layer of a compostable material which comprises a biodegradable polymer which forms a continuous matrix and which is essentially free from particles of a hydrophilic material capable of swelling inside the matrix, or contains essentially less of them than the first layer. The container is degradable in compost, disintegration of the container wall, at 58° C., occurring within 12 weeks.
