20220363848 · 2022-11-17 ·

A multilayer film containing up to 15 wt % of a blend of cis-13-docosenamide and at least one primary antimicrobial material on or in an exterior layer of the film. The blend of cis-13-docosenamide and at least one primary antimicrobial material is either extruded as part of the surface layer of the film or coated onto the surface of the film.

Multi-layer gypsum board and related methods and slurries

Disclosed is a composite gypsum board comprising a board core and a concentrated layer, as well as related methods of preparing board and slurries. The board core and the concentrated layer both are formed from water and stucco. The concentrated layer is designed to have higher density and/or nail pull than the core. The concentrated layer is further formed from a polysaccharide that forms a complex with calcium ions, e.g., an alginate compound such as sodium alginate. In some embodiments, the concentrated layer is formed from an enhancing additive to enhance strength therein, while the core is formed without using enhancing additive or less enhancing additive than used in forming the board core.

Method of manufacturing food packaging cellulosic films and food packaging cellulosic films thus produced

The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a cellulosic film (cellulose film), particularly a cellulosic food packing film, especially a detectable cellulosic film, which cellulosic film comprises detectable particles incorporated therein, as well as to the cellulosic film thus produced and to its applications and usages (i.e. its use).

Multilayer films and adhesive tapes

Multilayer films and adhesive tapes that include such films, wherein the multilayer films include plasticized polyvinyl chloride and optionally one or more fillers.

Composite film

Composite film (1) for closing a container (10) by sealing the composite film (1) against a circumferential sealing surface (11) of the container (10) or of a cap ring (12) to be connected to the container (10). The composite film (1) comprises an outer support layer (30) made of a metal film and an inner multilayer membrane (20) laminated to the outer support layer (30) using a bonding layer (28). The membrane (20) has a consecutive layer structure from the outside to the inside consisting of a backbone layer (21) made of polypropylene, an intermediate layer (23) made of a partially crystalline polyamide and a cohesively breakable peeling layer (25) made of polypropylene, polyethylene and talc, wherein between the intermediate layer (23) and the backbone layer (21) as well as between the intermediate layer (23) and the peeling layer (25) there is arranged a tie layer (22, 24) made of a maleic acid anhydride grafted polypropylene. The membrane has further an innermost sealing layer (26) made of a random copolymer comprising monomers of propylene, ethylene and butylene, wherein the random copolymer is grafted with maleic acid anhydride. The softening point of the sealing layer (26) lies at least between 15 and 25° C. lower than that of the tie layers (22, 24). A use and a method of producing said composite film (1) are also disclosed.

Methods for applying polyurethane coatings to golf balls having a thermoplastic polyurethane cover and resulting golf balls
11497969 · 2022-11-15 · ·

Golf balls having covers made of thermoplastic polyurethane compositions are provided. Multi-piece golf balls can be made. Polyurethane primer coatings and polyurethane top-coatings are applied to the thermoplastic polyurethane cover. Different coating methods can be used. Isocyanate-rich and polyol-rich polyurethane coatings can be applied. In one embodiment, the golf ball can be treated with a multi-functional isocyanate prior to applying the coatings. The polyurethane cover composition and surface coatings can further include catalysts, ultraviolet (UV)-light stabilizers, and other additives. Heat is used to cure the coatings. The coating methods have many benefits and the finished balls have good physical properties.

TEXTILE ARTICLE FOR RADIO FREQUENCY (RF) ABSORPTION AND ATTENUATION
20230046758 · 2023-02-16 ·

The present disclosure describes a textile article for radio frequency (RF) absorption and attenuation. The textile includes a laminate that is formed via curing a wet laminate at room temperature for a cure time, the wet laminate comprising a resin substrate and a reinforced fiber matrix. The reinforced fiber matrix may include one of a bamboo fiber matrix, a cotton fiber matrix, a polyester fiber matrix, a nylon fiber matrix, or a wool fiber matrix. The resin substrate may include a first portion of iron oxide particles and a second portion of the elastic polymer solution, the first portion of iron oxide particles being based at least in part on an RF signal range that the textile article is configured to absorb and attenuate. For example, the iron oxide particles may include Fe.sub.3O.sub.4Fe, Fe.sub.3O.sub.4Ni, or Fe.sub.3O.sub.4, and/or so forth.
