A treatment device for providing a magnetic treatment and a radiofrequency treatment to a body area of a patient. The device includes an energy storage device for storing electric energy, a magnetic field generating device, and a switching device to discharge the electrical energy from the energy storage device to the magnetic field generating device, such that a time-varying magnetic field is generated and provides muscle contraction to a muscle in the body area of the patient. The time-varying magnetic field may have a magnetic field density in a range of 0.1 Tesla to 7 Tesla and a repetition rate in a range of 0.1 Hz to 700 Hz. The device may also include a radiofrequency electrode to generate radiofrequency waves to heat a tissue in the body of the patient. A body of the radiofrequency electrode may include a plurality of openings in a range of 5 to 1000 openings.
NONINVASIVE ELECTRICAL TREATMENT DEVICES
Noninvasive neuromodulation combines transcutaneous electrical modulation with heat and/or focused ultrasonic energy. A noninvasive neuromodulation device includes a first bipole electrode pair aligned along a first axis and a second bipole electrode pair aligned along a second axis, the first axis and the second axis defining a plane. A focused ultrasound (FUS) transducer can direct a focused ultrasound beam along a third axis that intersects the plane. A controller is electrically coupled to the first and second bipole electrode pairs and to the focused ultrasound transducer. The controller is configured to apply electrical energy having a frequency of between about 1 Hz to about 100 MHz to the first and second bipole electrode pairs, and to cause the FUS transducer to emit a focused ultrasound beam having a frequency of between about 20 kHz to about 10 MHz.
ESTHETIC APPARATUS USEFUL FOR INCREASING SKIN REJUVENATION AND METHODS THEREOF
The present invention provides a device for rejuvenating a region of skin or mucosal tissue, comprising: a pulsed electromagnetic frequency generator; a plurality of electrodes in communication with the pulsed electromagnetic frequency generator and an RF tissue diathermy device. The electrodes apply the pulsed electromagnetic power and the RF tissue diathermy to the tissue, heating it such that one portion of the region of mucosal tissue is maintained at a predetermined temperature range T.sub.1 while another portion of the region of mucosal tissue is at least temporarily maintained at predetermined temperature range T.sub.2.
Combination aroma and magnetotherapy device and methods of use
The disclosure relates in general to a device for providing combination aroma and magnetic therapy, as well as mild heating. Specifically, the disclosure relates to a kite-shape device constructed of pure copper with magnets, coupled to a vapor generator for delivering aroma therapy as well as mild heating to a subject in need thereof, fully enclosed therein.
PULSED EMF LUMBAR DECOMPRESSION DEVICE
A spinal therapy device combining pulsed electromagnetic frequency (PEMF) technology and lumbar spinal decompression therapy. The combined device can provide consistent PEMF therapy to a patient who is also undergoing simultaneous lumbar spinal decompression therapy. The device configuration utilizes lumbar spinal decompression methods, which are advantageous for application of PEMF to the lumbar spine.
Method and system for modulating neural activity
Methods and related systems for modulating neural activity by cyclically modulating neural activity in peripheral neural structures are disclosed. Neural activity may be modulated cyclically by stimuli delivered via various types of stimulus sources. In an aspect, activity of a sensory nerve is modulated. Neural modulation may be used, for example, to modulate an undesired sensation, such as pain, or an immune or inflammatory response or process. Delivery of stimuli for modulating neural activity may be controlled in part in response to an input from a user input device.
Tumor treatment with free radical lifetimes enhanced by persistent low strength magnetic field
In the treatment of a tumor with radiation therapy is enhanced by a weak magnetic field, the field strength time sequence of exposure and shape and contour of the magnetic field are varied to achieve desired results. In one separate aspect, exposure to a magnetic field is continued after exposure to a free radical-creating therapy is ceased or diminished, thereby increasing the lifetimes of free radicals which have already been created. In another preferred embodiment a magnetic field is strategically placed to avoid extending the lives of free radicals in tissue through which a free radical-creating beam must pass, to reach a tumor. This application discloses quantitative parameters for field strength and exposure time to create concentrations and reactivity of free radicals, including long-lived free radicals and discloses the use of shaped, contoured, and designed electromagnetic fields. A treatment planning station is also disclosed.
Apparatus for transcranial magnetic stimulation
A quadrupolar-solenoidal electro-magnet creates more nearly parallel field lines and a coaxial magnetic bias resulting in allowing deeper magnetic field penetration with reduced depth attenuation and greater focality than available with the commonly used Figure-8 dual toroidal magnets, thereby overcoming the trade-offs inherent in currently standard practice for transcranial magnetic stimulation magnetic field generation and the proposed transcranial magnetic stimulation coil designs. When quadrupole electro-magnets are used with solenoids, the axis of the electro-magnets can be focused at the target within the desired tissue and at greater depth.
Aesthetic method of biological structure treatment by magnetic field
In combined methods for treating a patient using time-varying magnetic field, treatment methods combine various approaches for aesthetic treatment. A magnetic field generating device is placed proximate to a body region of the patient. The magnetic field generating device generates a time-varying magnetic field with a magnetic flux density in a range of 0.5 to 7 Tesla. The time-varying magnetic field is applied to the body region of the patient in order to cause a contraction of a muscle within the body region. A second therapy may be used by applying one or more of optical waves, radio frequency waves, mechanical waves, negative or positive pressure or heat to the body region of the patient.
