20170281963 · 2017-10-05 ·

The present invention discloses a multi-wave signal keep-fit energy chamber. The keep-fit energy chamber is a multi-wave signal emission chamber, 90-150 multi-wave signal emission elements (37) are uniformly distributed in the chamber. The multi-wave signal emission elements (37) are subjected to signal modulation through a multi-wave signal modulation power supply (33) under the action of an electric field and emit a multiple waveforms corresponding to a human body so as to enable the human body to generate multi-wave resonance in the chamber, thereby achieving the effects of eliminating human diseases, promoting health, prolonging life and keeping fit. The multi-wave signal modulation power supply (33) manufactured by using a method for manufacturing the multi-wave signal modulation power supply (33) is used for the multi-wave signal keep-fit energy chamber.

Treatment of cardiovascular disorders with targeted nanoparticles

Methods for treating various cardiovascular disorders include targeted delivery of calcium ions for permanently impairing a portion of the autonomic nervous system (ANS). Targeted delivery may be via magnetically-targetable nanoparticles.

Method and apparatus for multimodal electrical modulation of pain

Apparatus and methods for managing pain uses separate varying electromagnetic fields, with a variety of temporal and amplitude characteristics, which are applied to a particular neural structure to modulate glial and neuronal interactions as a mechanism for relieving chronic pain. In another embodiment, a single composite modulation/stimulation signal which has rhythmically varying characteristics is used to achieve the same results as separate varying electromagnetic fields. Also, disclosed is an apparatus and method for modulating the expression of genes involved in diverse pathways including inflammatory/immune system mediators, ion channels and neurotransmitters, in both the Spinal Cord (SC) and Dorsal Root Ganglion (DRG) where such expression modulation is caused by spinal cord stimulation or peripheral nerve stimulation using the disclosed apparatus and techniques. In one embodiment of multimodal modulation therapy, the prime signal may be monophasic, or biphasic, in which the polarity of the first phase of the biphasic prime signal may be either cathodic or anodic while the tonic signal may be either monophasic, or biphasic, with the polarity of the first phase of the biphasic tonic signal being either cathodic or anodic.

Photobiomodulation therapy to delay dystrophy progression

Photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) can be applied to a dystrophic muscle to delay dystrophy progression. A light source device can be contacted to a subject's skin proximal to a dystrophic muscle or muscle group. A light signal (with wavelengths from the red to infrared part of the spectrum) can be applied in at least one of a pulsed operating mode, a continuous operating mode, and a super-pulsed operating mode through the light source device to the dystrophic muscle or muscle group. The light signal is applied for a time sufficient to stimulate a phototherapeutic response in the dystrophic muscle or muscle group.

Magnetic stimulation in tissue-stimulating prostheses

Presented herein are tissue-stimulating prostheses that deliver magnetic stimulation to a recipient. The magnetic stimulation is delivered to the nerve cells through the use of one or more implantable magnetic stimulation coils, such as stimulation coils and/or extra-cochlear stimulation coils.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TARGETED DRUG DELIVERY
20170225003 · 2017-08-10 · ·

The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for targeted drug delivery by use of a drug substance comprising a drug and magnetic particles. The apparatus comprises selection means for generating a magnetic selection field (50) having a pattern in space of its magnetic field strength such that a first sub-zone (52) having a low magnetic field strength where the magnetization of the magnetic particles is not saturated and a second sub-zone having a higher magnetic field strength where the magnetization of the magnetic particles is saturated are formed in a field of view (28), drive means for changing the position in space of the two sub-zones (52, 54) in the field of view (28) by means of a magnetic drive field so that the magnetization of the magnetic particles changes locally, and a control unit (150) for controlling said drive means to change the position in space of the two sub-zones (52, 54) such that after administration of the drug substance the first sub-zone (52) is moved through a surrounding area (320) arranged around a target area (310) except through the target area (310) itself, said surrounding area (320) representing a potentially affected volume and/or having a predetermined maximal distance from said target area (310).
