FIRE RESISTANT SHEET AND COVERED ARTICLE
There is provided a fire resistant sheet having excellent flame retardance and an article covered with a fire resistant sheet. The present invention provides a fire resistant sheet including: a fiber base material layer containing a non-melting fiber A having a high-temperature shrinkage rate of 3% or less and a thermal conductivity, conforming to ISO22007-3 (2008), of 0.060 W/m.Math.K or less, and a thermoplastic fiber B having an LOI value, conforming to JIS K7201-2 (2007), of 25 or more; and a resin layer containing expandable graphite, wherein a phase transition temperature, conforming to JIS K7121 (2012), of the resin is lower by 20 C. or more than an expansion starting temperature of the expandable graphite, and an article covered with the fire resistant sheet.
POLYURETHANE COMPOSITE, LAMINATED PRODUCT COMPRISING THE POLYURETHANE COMPOSITE AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
Disclosed herein are a novel polyurethane (PU) composite, a process for producing the PU composite and a covering article containing the PU composite. The PU composite includes 35 to 75 wt % reinforced fiber and 25 to 65 wt % polyurethane foam, based on the total weight of the PU composite, where the reinforced fiber includes 75 to 100 wt % of the reinforced fiber in a continuous phase form and 0 to 25 wt % of the reinforced fiber in a discontinuous phase form, based on the total weight of reinforced fiber. Further disclosed are a laminated product including at least one thermal insulating layer and at least two polyurethane composites arranged on each side of the thermal insulating layer, a process for producing the laminated product and a covering article for battery system containing the laminated product.
MULTILAYER PROTECTIVE ELEMENT FOR A BATTERY ASSEMBLY COMPRISING AT LEAST TWO BATTERY CELLS
The invention relates to a multilayer protective element (1) for a battery assembly (100) comprising at least two battery cells (10), wherein the protective element (1) can be arranged between the battery cells (10) and wherein the protective element (1) comprises at least two heat resistant layers, wherein a first layer is formed as an elastic buffer layer (2) and comprises a an non-woven polymeric material and/or a non-woven ceramic material and a second layer is formed as a stiff heat insulating barrier layer (3) and comprises a ceramic material. The invention further relates to a battery assembly (100) comprising such a multilayer protective element (1), and to methods and uses of a multilayer protective element (1) in a battery assembly (100).
Protective article with cellulose-based expandable composite
This invention relates to a protective article comprising first and second walls. Each of the walls includes superimposed plies enclosing an expansion space therebetween, and an expandable composite disposed in the expansion space. The expandable composite includes a biodegradable matrix, and a plurality of cellulose-based expandable microspheres. The expandable microspheres are configured to cause the biodegradable matrix to expand upon activation of the expandable microspheres. The invention further relates to an expandable web comprising a first ply, second ply and an expandable composite deposited between the first ply and the second ply. The invention further relates to a method for making an expandable protective article.
HIGH ENERGY PROTECTIVE LAMINATES
The present disclosure relates to flame retardant laminates that can be used to make flame retardant textiles and flame retardant garments. The laminates described herein allow the use of non-flame retardant textiles to produce the flame retardant laminates. This use of non-flame retardant textile can provide laminates that can be much lighter in weight, more comfortable against the skin, more breathable, more durable, produced in a wider array of colors, have better moisture management properties, mechanical strength, and more environmentally friendly than flame retardant laminates that use inherently flame retardant textiles.
