High-power pulsed electromagnetic field applicator systems
Described herein are high-power pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) applicator apparatuses. These apparatuses are configured to drive multiple applicators to concurrently deliver high-power PEMF signals to tissue. The apparatuses may be further configured to wirelessly communicate with a remote server for patient monitoring, prescription and/or device servicing.
APPARATUS FOR TREATING URINARY INCONTINENCE USING MAGNETIC FIELD
Proposed is an apparatus for treating urinary incontinence using a magnetic field. The apparatus includes: a plurality of magnetic field generation units that apply magnetic fields to different muscles of a patient; the muscles being muscles that affect the treatment of the urinary incontinence of the patient; a control unit for controlling the operation of the plurality of magnetic field generation units; and a power supply unit for supplying power to the magnetic field generation units and the control unit. The apparatus simultaneously stimulates the major muscles that affect urinary incontinence, thereby improving the effect of treating urinary incontinence.
Localizing and Imaging Magnetic Nanoparticles Assisted by Electron Paramagnetic Resonance
An MNP machine provides a magnetic bias field to a sample space; drive coils bracketing the sample space; pickup coils coupled through amplifiers to a computer; and a radio frequency (RF) stimulus coil driven at an electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) frequency of MNPs in the bias field. The computer is configured to provide a MNP Brownian motion spectrum from the signals or magnetic particle images. A method of imaging MNP concentrations in a subject includes applying a magnetic bias field having a gradient; applying RF at an EPR frequency of the MNPs in the magnetic bias field; sweeping either magnetic bias field strength or radio frequency to sweep a surface of resonance through the subject; observing EPR resonances of the MNPs; rotating the magnetic bias field relative to the subject; repeating sweeping the surface of resonance through the subject; and reconstructing a three-dimensional model of MNP concentrations of the subject.
AESTHETIC METHOD OF BIOLOGICAL STRUCTURE TREATMENT BY MAGNETIC FIELD
Combined methods for treating a patient using time-varying magnetic field are described. The treatment methods combine various approaches for aesthetic treatment. The methods are focused on enhancing a visual appearance of the patient.
HIGH-POWER PULSED ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD APPLICATOR SYSTEM
Described herein are high-power pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) applicator systems. The systems can comprise a base housing including a controller configured to generate a low-power control signal and one or more applicators coupled to the base. Each applicator can include a drive circuitry comprising a generator configured to receive the low-power control signal and to produce, in the applicator, a high-power pulsed electromagnetic field signal based on the low-power control signal. The high-power pulsed electromagnetic field signal can has a power of greater than 40 W. Each applicator can further include a coil circuit configured to emit the high-power pulsed electromagnetic field signal, and an electromagnetic energy shield disposed between the drive circuitry and the coil circuit.
Aesthetic method of biological structure treatment by magnetic field
In methods for treating a patient, a time varying magnetic field is applied to a patient's body and causes a muscle contraction. The time-varying magnetic field may be monophasic, biphasic, polyphasic and/or static. The method may reduce adipose tissue, improve metabolism, blood and/or lymph circulation. The method may use combinations of treatments to enhance the visual appearance of the patient.
Device and Method for Correcting Obstructive Sleep Apnea
An orthotic obstructive sleep apnea treatment device is provided that includes a hyoid bone attachment element disposed to attach a ferric element to a hyoid bone whereby the ferric element force can be adjusted by a force delivery element.
Systems and methods for predicting and treating neurological condition relapses
Systems and methods for predicting and treating relapses for neurological conditions in accordance with embodiments of the invention are illustrated. One embodiment includes a method for predicting and treating a clinical neurological condition relapse. The method includes steps for selecting a threshold heart rate variability value for a patient suffering from a clinical neurological condition, monitoring, using a cardiac monitor, the heart rate variability of the patient over time, providing an indicator that a relapse is imminent when the heart rate variability of the patient falls below the threshold heart rate variability value, and treating the patient using a transcranial magnetic stimulation device by applying an accelerated theta burst stimulation protocol where the transcranial magnetic stimulation target is the left prefrontal dorsolateral cortex.
Magnetic core bone screw
A screw cap removably associated with a bone screw, the bone screw comprising: a head having a set of interior threads, one of the set of interior threads having a circular slot; a magnet; and an interior cavity located within the bone screw and configured to house the magnet; the screw cap comprising: a top end configured to receive a driving means for inserting the screw cap into, and removing the screw cap from, the head; a body having a set of cap threads, one of the set of cap threads comprising a locking bead; and an annular recess concentrically lining a portion of the body, the annular recess comprising a leakage ring for establishing a seal between the screw cap and the head; wherein an association of the set of cap threads with the set of interior threads causes the locking bead to be engaged with the circular slot.
