Esthetic apparatus useful for increasing skin rejuvenation and methods thereof

The present invention provides a device for rejuvenating a region of skin or mucosal tissue, comprising: a pulsed electromagnetic frequency generator; a plurality of electrodes in communication with the pulsed electromagnetic frequency generator and an RF tissue diathermy device. The electrodes apply the pulsed electromagnetic power and the RF tissue diathermy to the tissue, heating it such that one portion of the region of mucosal tissue is maintained at a predetermined temperature range T.sub.1 while another portion of the region of mucosal tissue is at least temporarily maintained at predetermined temperature range T.sub.2.

Nanoparticle-sized magnetic absorption enhancers having three-dimensional geometries adapted for improved diagnostics and hyperthermic treatment
09844679 · 2017-12-19 · ·

Nanoparticle-sized magnetic absorption enhancers (MAEs) exhibiting a controlled response to a magnetic field, including a controlled mechanical response and an inductive thermal response. The MAEs have a magnetic material that exhibits inductive thermal response to the magnetic field and is embedded in a coating, such that the MAE conforms to a particular shape, e.g., hemisphere, dome or shell, chosen to produce the controlled mechanical response. A targeting moiety for specifically binding the MAE to a pathogen target is also provided. The MAEs can be bound by a flexible linker to promote the desired mechanical response, which includes interactions between MAEs that are not bound to any pathogen target for the purpose of forming spheres, spherical shells, or generally spherical dimers to contain the thermal energy produced and to thus reduce collateral healthy tissue damage during hyperthermic treatment.

Computer-aided simulation tool for providing assistance in the planning of thermotherapy

The invention relates to a computer-aided simulation tool, in particular to computer-aided simulation methods, for providing assistance in the planning of thermotherapy, and to suitably configured computer equipment. The thermotherapy comprises hyperthermic treatment of a tumour volume within a volume of a human body. The hyperthermic treatment comprises the application of a magnetic field within a treatment volume by means of a magnetic field applicator. In at least one depot volume, thermal energy can be introduced by means of magnetic, paramagnetic and/or superparamagnetic nanoparticles deposited in the body, by power absorption in the applied magnetic field. Field strength values and optionally calculated temperature distributions are provided for assisting the user in the planning of the thermotherapy.

Biofeedback apparatus using magnetic stimulator and control method therefor
09844681 · 2017-12-19 · ·

Provided is a biofeedback apparatus using a magnetic stimulator. In the biofeedback apparatus, a tube filled with a non-conductive fluid is disposed between a magnetic stimulator and patient's pelvic floor muscles to measure a change in pressure according to muscle exercise of the pelvic floor muscles, biofeedback is available without insertion of a tool for measurement of a pressure or an EMG (electromyogram) into vagina, urethra, or the like. In the biofeedback apparatus, since driving of the magnetic stimulator and driving of a pressure transducer do not influence each other, a controller can continuously monitor a state of change in pressure of the pelvic floor muscles by using the pressure transducer and, at the same time, can adjust a strength of a magnetic field generated from the magnetic stimulator to an optimal strength according to the monitored state, so that it is possible to maximize the effect of treatment.
