Shock absorbing structure
An apparatus comprised of a first portion comprising a generally flexible fabric, and a second portion or layer comprising a gel material formed in a generally planar rectangular shape. Positioned below the second layer is a third portion or a damping layer having a series of dampers positioned thereon, where the dampers are elastomeric flexible and compressible. The three portions are laminated together.
Cladded Wall System
A cladded wall system for constructing cladded cast-in-place concrete walls that are each integrated with lost forms comprising a self-supporting structure made of a plurality of prefabricated cladded panels (PCPs) constituting an exterior lost form, at least one architectural element constituting an interior lost form, and a plurality of concrete integratable connecting units by which each of said PCPs is connected to said interior lost form.
Surface Covering Having An Acoustical Component
A surface covering is provided and includes an upper section of laminated polymeric layers and an acoustical section for dissipating sound waves.
COMPOSITE-MATERIAL BLADE, ROTARY MACHINE, AND METHOD FOR FORMING COMPOSITE-MATERIAL BLADE
This composite-material blade formed by using a fiber-reinforced resin containing a resin and reinforcing fibers is provided with: a base material part provided on the inner surface of the composite-material blade; and a first cover part for covering the outer surface of the base material part. The base material part is formed by using a carbon fiber-reinforced resin containing a first resin and carbon fibers. The first cover part is formed from an elastic polymer fiber-reinforced resin containing a second resin and elastic polymer fibers, and has more resistance to impact than the base material part.
GROUNDING ELASTIC CONTACT AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A grounding elastic contact and an electronic device including the same. The grounding elastic contact includes an elastic core, and a double-sided polyethylene terephthalate (PET) tape, a polyimide (PI) film, and a conductive layer, where the PI film is laminated and bonded on an outer side of the double-sided PET tape; a middle region of the double-sided PET tape is attached to an upper surface of the elastic core; after passing through left and right sides of the elastic core respectively, two ends of the double-sided PET tape are laminated on a lower surface of the elastic core; the conductive layer includes one end bonded on the upper surface of the elastic core, and the other end passing through the left side of the elastic core; the double-sided PET tape includes a PET backing and an adhesive coated on two sides of the PET backing.
Ceramic Surface Modification Materials
Porous, binderless ceramic surface modification materials are described, and applications of use thereof. The ceramic surface material is in the form of an interconnected network of porous ceramic material on a substrate. The ceramic material may include a metal oxide, a metal hydroxide, and/or hydrates thereof, or a metal carbonate or metal phosphate, on a substrate surface. The substrate may be in the form of a metal or polymer particulate, powder, extrudate, or flakes.
Stretch-Release Adhesive Articles with a Pattern of Slits
Stretch-release adhesive articles with tunable mechanical properties are provided. The articles include a stretchable carrier extending along a first direction and including a first major surface and a second major surface opposite the first major surface. At least one of the first and second major surfaces of the stretchable carrier is a stretch-releasable adhesive surface, and the stretchable carrier includes a pattern of slits distributed thereon and configured to deform upon a stretch on the stretchable carrier to elongate the stretchable carrier.
Fibre reinforcement of reactive foams obtained by a moulding foam method
The present invention relates to a molding made of reactive foam, wherein at least one fiber (F) is arranged partially inside the molding, i.e. is surrounded by the reactive foam. The two ends of the respective fiber (F) not surrounded by the reactive foam thus each project from one side of the corresponding molding. The reactive foam is produced by a mold foaming process. The present invention further provides a panel comprising at least one such molding and at least one further layer (S1). The present invention further provides processes for producing the moldings according to the invention from reactive foam/the panels according to the invention and also provides for the use thereof as a rotor blade in wind turbines for example.
Glass fiber-reinforced polyurethane/polyisocyanurate foam insulation board
External thermal insulation composite systems described herein include a concrete or masonry wall and a thermal insulation board on the concrete or masonry wall. The thermal insulation board includes a polyurethane/polyisocyanurate foam having a density of less than 70 kg/m.sup.3 according to ASTM D 1622. Methods of preparing the external thermal insulation composite systems and the thermal insulation boards are also described.
Polishing Article, Polishing System and Method of Polishing
A polishing article includes a polishing layer having a working surface including at least one multi-cell structure disposed on the working surface. The multi-cell structure includes three cells, defined as a first cell, a second cell and a third cell. Each of the three cells includes at least one sidewall defining a cell shape. The first cell and the second cell include a first common sidewall including a first channel, having a first channel length, allowing fluid communication between the first cell and the second cell, and a first axis perpendicular to the first channel length and substantially parallel to the working surface. Further, the second cell and the third cell include a second common sidewall including a second channel, having a second channel length, allowing fluid communication between the second cell and the third cell, and a second axis perpendicular to the second channel length and substantially parallel to the working surface. An included angle between the first axis and the second axis is from 0° to less than 180°.
