Tubular for downhole use
A tubular for downhole use, the tubular including a pipe, an insulation layer surrounding the pipe, and a protective layer around the insulation layer and comprising a polymer. The protective layer can also include a compression layer adjacent to the insulation layer. There may be reinforcement material in the protective layer, for example encapsulated by the elastomer. The tubular may have bare portions at the ends for manipulation of the tubulars to form a tubing string. A sleeve may be provided using the same layer structure to insulate the bare portions which form joints of the tubing string. The sleeve can also include a base layer.
STRUCTURE OF INSULATING TEMPERATURE CONDUCTIVITY OF INFLATABLE BED
A structure of insulating temperature conductivity of an inflatable bed contains: a first layer, a second layer, an inner air chamber, multiple connection straps, multiple temperature stoppers, and at least one temperature insulation layer. The inner air chamber is defined between the first layer and the second layer. The multiple connection straps are separately connected between the first layer and the second layer. The multiple temperature stoppers are accommodated in the multiple connection straps respectively, and the at least one temperature insulation layer is filled between the first layer and the second layer.
AEROSOL-GENERATING DEVICE HAVING MULTI-LAYER INSULATION
An aerosol-generating device is provided, including: an outer housing; a heater configured to heat an aerosol-forming substrate; and a plurality of layers of thermal insulation arranged around at least a part of the heater, the plurality of layers of thermal insulation including a first thermal insulation layer, a second thermal insulation layer, a radiation reflector layer being arranged between the first and the second thermal insulation layers, and a heat spreader layer including the outer housing of the aerosol-generating device. An aerosol-generating system is also provided, including the aerosol-generating device and an aerosol-generating article including an aerosol-generating substrate.
Acoustic liner having multiple layers
An acoustic liner can include a support layer having a set of partitioned cavities with open faces, a first facing sheet and second facing sheet both having perforations and operably coupled to the support layer such that the facing sheets overlie and close the open faces, and an aerogel layer operably coupled to the second facing sheet.
Sound reducing panel
An improved sound reducing panel is disclosed comprising a front porous sheet for enabling sound to enter into the sound reducing panel and a rear non-porous sheet. A sound absorbing member dissipates sound entering into the front porous sheet. A sound blocking member blocks sound from exiting from the sound absorbing member. A decoupling member reduces sonic vibration from being transferred from the sound blocking member to the rear non-porous sheet.
INSULATION BLANKET HAVING A DEPOSITED PASSIVATOR FOR INDUSTRIAL INSULATION APPLICATIONS
A passivating flexible insulation blanket positionable about a pipe includes an insulation core, an enclosing fabric, and a non-consumable passivator. The insulation core is substantially hydrophobic and includes a microporous material. The enclosing fabric fully encapsulates the insulation core to form a capsule or pouch about the insulation core. The non-consumable passivator is non-consumable such that there is no appreciable change to a mass of the non-consumable passivator after an extended time of activation. The non-consumable passivator is deposited into the insulation core and has a composition soluble in water. The non-consumable passivator includes a leachable component that leaches from the insulation core and is capable of neutralizing acidic components. The leachable component is water soluble and is capable of reacting with a surface of the pipe to form a protective coating on the pipe to aid in inhibiting corrosion formation on the surface of the pipe.
HEATED REINFORCEMENT BARS AND ASSOCIATED LAMINATES
Heated reinforcement bars and associated laminates are provided. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to heated reinforcement bars and associated laminates that include carbon nanotube heating elements.
Systems and methods for compression pack pipe insulation
An insulation product for a pipe or vessel having at least one aerogel insulation layer, an additional insulation layer positioned around the at least one aerogel insulation layer, and a protective cladding layer surrounding the at least one aerogel insulation layer and the additional insulation layer.
Graphite containing article
Cookware and other heating articles are included herein. The article may have a substrate forming a bottom surface of the cookware. The article may also have a graphite intermediate layer and cooking/heating surface disposed above the intermediate layers. The graphite layer may have one or more of the following properties: (1) a density of at least 0.64 g/cm.sup.3; (2) a water pick-up of a less than 30% by weight after a 2.5 hour soak in water at ambient conditions; (3) a Taber stiffness in the machine direction at least 25% higher than in the transverse direction; and (4) a sulfur content of less than 350 ppm and any combination thereof.
METAL INSULATING PART
The invention concerns an insulating part comprising a sealed casing defining an inner enclosure (7), the part having thermal conductivity of less than 100 mW/m.K, the sealed casing (3) comprising at least one thin metal sheet (30, 31) having a thickness of less than 1 mm and welded peripherally to keep the enclosure under low pressure and/or controlled atmosphere, the weld, which is produced in a chamber under low pressure and/or controlled atmosphere, having a leakage rate of less than 10.sup.6 Pa.Math.m.sup.3/s, after a first thermal treatment according to the standard RTCA-DO 160-G, section 5, Cat A (from 55 C. to 400 C.) and a second thermal treatment at 196 C. for 1 hour.
