GRAPHENE OXIDE MEMBRANES AND RELATED METHODS
Membranes comprising graphene oxide sheets and associated filter media and methods are provided. In some embodiments, a membrane may comprise graphene oxide sheets that have undergone one or more chemical treatments. The chemical treatment(s) may impart beneficial properties to the membrane, such as a relatively small d-spacing, compatibility with a broad range of environments, physical stability, and charge neutrality. For example, the graphene oxide sheets may undergo one or more chemical treatments that form chemical linkages between at least a portion of the graphene oxide sheets in the membrane. Such chemical linkages may impart a small d-spacing, broad compatibility, and/or allow relatively thick membranes to be formed. In certain embodiments, the graphene oxide sheets may undergo one or more chemical treatment that imparts relative charge neutrality to the membrane by altering the ionizability of certain functional groups. Graphene oxide membranes, described herein, can be used for a wide range applications.
Vehicle air conditioning hose inner layer
A refrigerant hose has an innermost tube defining a lumen therein, and the innermost tube is based on one of a hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber (HNBR), an HNBR containing polymer blend, or a copolymer thereof, which is cured with a phenol-formaldehyde resin. The refrigerant hose may further include an optional permeation inhibiting layer which surrounds the innermost tube when incorporated, a reinforcing layer disposed outwardly from the innermost tube and the optional permeation inhibiting layer when this layer is used, and a cover layer disposed outwardly from the reinforcing layer. The innermost tube has a volume swell percentage of 10% or less when exposed to polyolester oil or polyalkylene glycol oil for 168 hrs @ 125° C. Additionally, the innermost tube is devoid of peroxide and may further be devoid added elemental sulfur, sulfur donors and/or additives containing sulfur within their molecular structures.
Cover windows for displays
A cover window for a display includes a multilayer polymer film. The multilayer polymer film includes a first transparent, colorless polymer layer having a first elastic modulus and a second transparent, colorless polymer layer having a second elastic modulus. Each of the first and second transparent, colorless polymer layers include a polyimide, a polyamide imide, or a block copolymer of a polyimide. The polymers of both the first and second transparent, colorless polymer layers are cross-linked. The first elastic modulus is different from the second elastic modulus. The first and second transparent, colorless polymer layers are bonded by consolidation and cross-linking. The first transparent, colorless layer of the multilayer polymer film is the layer farthest from the display.
MULTILAYER STRUCTURE FOR A BATTERY ENCASEMENT
The present invention is related to a battery module packaging comprising a multilayer structure 1, said structure comprising an inner polymer layer 2, an outer polymer layer 4 and an aluminum foil 5 sandwiched between the inner polymer layer 2 and the outer polymer layer 4, or an inner polymer layer 2, an outer polymer layer 4, an aluminum foil 5 sandwiched between the inner polymer layer 2 and the outer polymer layer 4 and an intermediary layer 3 sandwiched between aluminum foil 5 and inner polymer layer 2. In use, the inner polymer layer 2 is in direct contact with the cell part of the battery and the outer polymer layer 4 is in contact with a hardware element of the battery.
COMPOSITE AND METHODS OF MAKING SAME
Described is a composite made from a woven fabric, a non-woven fabric, or a knitted face fabric and a non-woven fabric. The woven fabric, the non-woven fabric, or the knitted face fabric is needle punched such that fibers protrude into the non-woven fabric. The woven fabric, the non-woven fabric, or the knitted face fabric has a first polymer having a first melting point and a second polymer having a second melting point being higher than the first melting point. The nonwoven backing material comprises a third polymer having a third melting point and a fourth polymer having a fourth melting point being higher than the third melting point. The woven fabric, the non-woven fabric, or the knitted face fabric is further bonded to the nonwoven backing material applying heat to at least partially melt or soften the first polymer and the third polymer such that they bond together.
MULTILAYER PREFORM AND CONTAINER
The present invention relates to a multilayer container preform and a multilayer container, said preform or container comprising a base, a body and a neck finish, said base and body comprising an outer layer defining an exterior surface, an inner layer defining an interior surface and interior space, and an intermediate layer disposed between the outer layer and the inner layer, said outer layer and said inner layer comprising a primary material selected from the group consisting of a 2,5-furandicarboxylate polyester or co-polyester or a blend thereof, and said intermediate layer comprising a secondary material different from the primary material, but compatible with the primary material. The invention relates to methods of producing such a multilayer container preform and multilayer container
Vacuum Skin Packaging Film
A plastic film suitable for vacuum skin packaging application. The film is crosslinked and comprises ethylene acrylate copolymer.
Polyimide film for semiconductor package
Disclosed is a semiconductor package polyimide film, which may prevent the stripping of a thermoplastic polyimide layer by reducing a difference in the average coefficient of linear thermal expansion between a substrate film and the thermoplastic polyimide layer, and may be readily detached after a reflow process is completed since the thermoplastic polyimide layer to be attached to a lead frame has a glass transition temperature less than or equal to a reflow process temperature.
Sandwich panel and a manufacturing method thereof
The present invention relates to a sandwich panel and a method of manufacturing the same. The sandwich panel according to the present invention has high density and improved physical properties such as flexural strength, flexural modulus, bending strength and lightening weighting ratio and is suitable for use in various consumer products or industrial materials.
POLY-SUPPORTED COPPER FOIL
A supported copper foil is disclosed, comprising: a poly-based film that contains polyimide and polytetrafluoroethylene; a thin copper foil; and an adhesive provided between the poly-based film and the thin copper foil, the adhesive removably coupling the poly-based film to the copper foil.
