Underpayment with thermal insulation
An underlayment that meets underlayment requirements and provides thermal insulation is disclosed. The underlayment includes a core material and an upper emittance layer having an exterior surface. An upper reinforcement layer is positioned between the upper emittance layer and the core material. A first encapsulation layer is positioned between the upper emittance layer and the upper reinforcement layer. A second encapsulation layer is positioned between the upper reinforcement layer and the core material. The underlayment includes a lower emittance layer having an exterior surface. A lower reinforcement layer is positioned between the lower emittance layer and the core material. A third encapsulation layer is positioned between the lower emittance layer and the lower reinforcement layer. A fourth encapsulation layer is positioned between the lower reinforcement layer and the core material.
Water-soluble unit dose article comprising a water-soluble film comprising a water soluble polyvinyl alcohol polymer
Multicompartment water-soluble unit dose articles and methods of making them.
Heat Sealing Member
Various enhancements of heat seals are provided herein with sealant layers that provide for decreased chance of oversealing the heat seal to a container. Such enhancements include the use of various types of resins in combination to provide for desirable heating and sealing characteristics. Further, the heat seals may be especially suitable for use with polyester containers, such as those containing polyethylene terephthalate.
RECYCLABLE PACKAGING FILM AND ARTICLE WITH MECHANICALLY PRE-SLIT CONTROLLED TEAR LINE
A method of forming a flexible packaging film includes providing a first web including a polymer sealant layer, the first web having a first major surface and a second major surface opposite the first major surface. A second web including a polymer outer layer is provided, the second web having a third major surface and a fourth major surface opposite the third major surface. An adhesive layer is applied to the second major surface and the first web is laminated to the third major surface. Prior to laminating the first web to the second web, one or more slits are formed in the second web.
COMPOSTABLE INSULATION FOR SHIPPING CONTAINER
A thermal insulation article includes a thermally insulating pad shaped to be positioned in a cavity of a rectangular prism shipping container. The pad includes a solid compostable panel formed primarily of starch and/or plant fiber pulp that holds together as a single unit, and a water-proof or water-resistant film forming a pocket enclosing the panel. The panel includes a first section, a second section, and a third section connecting the first section to the second section, the first and second section each having a central portion and two flaps that extend from the central portion beyond the third section, and wherein the panel is foldable into an open box.
Aerosol devices and methods for inhaling a substance and uses thereof
Devices, cartridges, and method are described herein for emulating smoking wherein a device generates an aerosol for inhalation by a subject by heating a viscous material that can have a tactile response in the mouth or respiratory tract, while reducing Hoffman analytes and mutagenic compounds delivered to the user as compared to a common tobacco cigarette.
Sterilizable multilayer material
Sterilizable multilayer material (1), in particular for packaging at least one device for medical use, comprising a non-thermofusible sheet (2) sandwiched between two lower and upper thicknesses (3, 4) of thermofusible material of at least one thermofusible sheet (F), these thicknesses of thermofusible material being welded together across the non-thermofusible sheet.
MULTI-LAYER BIOBASED FILM STRUCTURES USING POLY(3-HYDROXYPROPIONATE)
A multi-layer packaging film structure is disclosed. This packaging film structure includes a barrier web made up of a barrier web core layer, a barrier web skin layer, and a packaging sealant layer. Each of the aforementioned film layers is biodegradable and/or compostable. At least one of the film layers is made up of at least 1 weight percent of poly(3-hydroxypropionate). The packaging film structure may also include a print web or a paperboard substrate.
Packaging method for fruits and vegetables
The present invention relates to a method for packaging fruits and vegetables by means of a film endowed with specific permeability and light transmittance properties.
Packaging material
Packaging material formed from a substrate and three coating layers or in some instances at least three coating layers, each coating including an aqueous polymeric solution or dispersion dried to form a continuous film such that the packaging material is provided with tailored performance attributes including desired moisture vapor transmission rates, oxygen permeation rates, oil and grease resistance peel strength. The materials forming the packaging material may be compostable or biodegradable.
