A polymer may include a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate, in which the ethylene is at least partially obtained from a renewable source of carbon, and wherein the copolymer has a melt index (190° C./2.16 kg) ranging from 0.12 to 8.0 g/10 min according to ASTM D1238.

Rigid board plastic flooring and its production method

Embodiments disclosed herein are directed to a method of producing a rigid board plastic flooring. The method includes extruding a bottom layer without adding a plasticizer, overlapping sequentially a back embossment board, the bottom layer, a first connecting layer, a decoration layer, and a wear layer to form a sandwich, hot pressing the sandwich with temperature and pressure and applying a UV treatment to a top surface of the sandwich after hot pressing the sandwich. The method continues by annealing the sandwich after applying the UV treatment, cooling the sandwich to ambient temperature, and cutting the sandwich to size.

A polymeric film or laminate comprising the same is applied to at least a portion of a surface of an underlying article to provide, for example, desired surface characteristics. To assist in such application, a polymerizable composition is coated onto at least one of the surface of the polymeric film or the laminate and the surface of the article. The polymerizable composition is then polymerized with the polymeric film or laminate positioned thereover to form a sufficiently polymerized interlayer between the polymeric film or laminate and the underlying surface in resulting articles. Ease of removal and/or repair of polymeric film and laminates comprising the polymeric film that are so applied is facilitated.

ETHYLENE INTERPOLYMER PRODUCT AND FILMS THEREOF

An ethylene interpolymer product comprises from 40 to 80 weight % of a first ethylene interpolymer having a molecular weight distribution index of Formula (I), and, from 20 to 60 weight % of a second ethylene interpolymer having a molecular weight distribution index of Formula (II), wherein said ethylene interpolymer product is characterized by a dilution Index, Y.sub.d, greater than 0, and, a solid-to-liquid transition temperature not greater than 112° C. The ethylene interpolymer product may be further characterized as having a weighted Rheological Adhesion Parameter, Rh.sub.adh, greater than 1.5. Films made from the ethylene interpolymer product composition have a hot tack seal onset temperature less than 90° C. and a hot tack window at 2.5N measured on a 2 mil blown film no less than 30° C.
