COMPOSTABLE LAMINATE STRUCTURE
A compostable laminate for food wrap and method for making same. The wrap can include a first layer of paper material, a second layer of paper material, and a series of coatings between the paper materials. The coatings include a first flood coating having water and/or barrier properties, a second flood coating having water and/or oil barrier properties, and a third coating that only partially covers the second flood coating. None of the first, second and third coatings comprise a thermoplastic or polyolefin, and are made substantially from one or more biodegradable and/or compostable materials.
Ethylene Acrylic Acid Copolymers
The present disclosure relates to copolymers including ethylene and α,β unsaturated carboxylic acid units, such as acrylic acid. Copolymers may include from about 0.4 mol % to about 1.1 mol % of the α,β unsaturated carboxylic acid units, and have a melt index of from about 0.1 g/10 min to about 2 g/10 min. Alternatively, copolymers may include from about 0.4 mol % to about 2.4 mol % α,β unsaturated carboxylic acid units, and have a melt index of from about 0.1 g/10 min to about 1.4 g/10 min.
METALLIZED BREATHABLE COMPOSITE FABRIC AND METHOD FOR MAKING SAME
A composite fabric includes a lining layer and a metallized membrane. The metallized membrane includes a polymer layer having polyurethane and nano/micro metal particles embedded in the polymer layer. The nano/micro metal particles are about 10-50 wt % inclusive of the metallized membrane. The lining layer is connected to the metallized membrane via point contacts.
COMPOSTABLE FLEXIBLE MATERIAL
A compostable flexible material comprising at least two layers, wherein all of the layers of the compostable flexible material are compostable. The compostable material can be heated in a microwave. A compostable packaging can be made from the compostable flexible material and comprises a compostable reclosable pressure closure.
COMPOSTABLE FLEXIBLE MATERIAL
A compostable flexible material comprising at least two layers, wherein all of the layers of the compostable flexible material are compostable.
RECYCLABLE FILMS AND PACKAGING
A recyclable film contains a base film of polyethylene that has been oriented, annealed, and irradiatively crosslinked, and a sealant. The base film has a free shrink rate of less than 10% in both the machine direction and the transverse direction when exposed to heat of 90° C. These recyclable films are ideal for use as packaging components that can be hermetically heat sealed to themselves or other packaging components, while maintaining low shrink and excellent appearance.
HIGH-GLOSS PATTERN FILM FOR VEHICLE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a high-gloss pattern film for a vehicle and a method of manufacturing the same, and more particularly, to a high-gloss pattern film for a vehicle, which has excellent gloss, implements various patterns and colors, and has excellent durability, and a method of manufacturing the same.
Unprinted Electrophotographically Printable Fillable Pouches and Methods for Producing and Printing Said Pouches
The present invention is directed to an unprinted electrophotographically printable fillable pouch made of an unprinted electrophotographically printable film including (a) a multilayer polymer film including a base layer (a1) and a sealing layer (a2) which is the inner layer of the pouch and (b) at least one toner-receiving layer as the outer layer deposited on the multilayer polymer film (a) from an aqueous coating composition including (b1) a polymeric binder, (b2) fine inorganic particles, and (b3) coarse inorganic and/or organic particles. Also provided is a method for producing the unprinted pouches on a pouch making machine as well as a method for printing the pouches in an electrophotographic printing process. The printed pouch is ideal to be filled with food, pet food, beverages, pharmaceuticals and/or personal care product.
Unprinted Inkjet-Printable Fillable Pouches and Methods for Producing and Printing Said Pouches
The present invention is directed to an unprinted inkjet-printable fillable pouch made of an unprinted inkjet-printable film including (a) a multilayer polymer film including a base layer (a1) and a sealing layer (a2) which is the inner layer of the pouch and (b) at least one ink-receiving layer as the outer layer deposited on the multilayer polymer film (a) from an aqueous coating composition including (b1) a polymeric binder, (b2) fine inorganic particles, and (b3) coarse inorganic and/or organic particles. Also provided is a method for producing the unprinted pouches on a pouch making machine as well as a method for printing the pouches, preferably in a single pass inkjet printing process. The printed pouch is ideal to be filled with food, pet food, beverages, pharmaceuticals and/or personal care products.
Transparent, biaxially oriented polyester film with smooth surface on one side and with good windability
The invention relates to an at least three-layer biaxially oriented polyester film including at least one base layer B, one rough outer layer A and one smooth outer layer C, where the layers A and C are external layers arranged on opposing surfaces of the base layer B. The outer layer A includes calcium carbonate particles. The outer layer C includes less than 0.1% by weight of particles (where the percentage by weight data are based on the weight of the layer). The polyester used to produce all of the layers includes no 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic-acid-derived units as repeating units. The entire film includes less than 0.3% by weight (based on the weight of the entire film) of particles. The invention further relates to processes for producing the film, and also to use of the latter as process film for the provision of surface properties, in particular for furniture surfaces.
