DECORATIVE SHEET
There is provided a decorative sheet having a three-dimensional effect by a tactile sense and a visual three-dimensional effect or texture and excellent in design properties. A decorative sheet (10) according to this embodiment is provided with a base material (1), an image design layer (2) provided on a front surface (1a) side of the base material (1), a transparent adhesive layer (3) provided on a front surface (2a) side of the image design layer (2), a transparent thermoplastic resin layer (4) provided on a front surface (3a) side of the transparent adhesive layer (3), and a surface protective layer (5) provided on a front surface (4a) side of the transparent thermoplastic resin layer (4). On a front surface (5c) side of the surface protective layer (5), a recess and projection design (8) and a recess and projection pattern (9) having a plurality of regions (9a, 9b, 9c) which is provided on each of the surfaces of recess portions and the surfaces of projection portions of the recess and projection design (8) and in which recesses and projections are formed are provided. A height difference between the recess portions and the projection portions of the recess and projection design (8) is 3 m or more and 200 m or less. A height difference between recess portions and projection portions in each of the regions (9a, 9b, 9c) of the recess and projection pattern 9 is smaller than the height difference between the recess portions and the projection portions of the recess and projection design (8).
POLYOL POLYESTER AND POLYHYDROXY ALKANE BLENDS WITH POLAR POLYMERS
Compounds that can be produced by a ring-opening reaction of epoxidized alkanes or epoxidized fatty acid esters having a molecular weight greater than 200 grams per mole are blended with polar polymers to improve the gloss of the polar polymers. These compounds include at least one polar functional group and are blended with polar polymers, or blends comprising at least one polar polymer, in order to improve the gloss of these polymers, such that they have suitable gloss right out of the manufacturing operation without the need for further painting or lamination steps. These compounds may also improve the impact strength of the polar polymers. Also disclosed are composite structures wherein an outer cap layer is made from the polar polymer blended with the gloss improving additive.
ONE PIECE MULTILAYER THERMOPLASTIC CONTAINER HAVING A COLORANT
A container formed of a common one-piece multilayer thermoplastic substrate. The container wall has an outer layer and an adjacent underlying layer. And the underlying layer has a colorant visible through the outer layer. The colorant in the underlying layer can be one or more pigments and or one or more dyes.
DECORATIVE LAMINATE
A decorative laminate of the present invention includes a transparent film, a coating layer constituted of a hard resin material and disposed on a side of a first surface which is one surface of the transparent film, a shielding layer disposed on a side of a second surface of the transparent film, which is the other surface opposite to the first surface, and a printed layer disposed between the coating layer and the shielding layer.
Method and apparatus for continuously fabricating a composite sandwich structure
A method for continuously fabricating a composite sandwich structure includes the steps of: (1) preheating a laminate to a preforming temperature above a glass transition temperature of the laminate but below or equal to a crystalline melt temperature of the laminate as the laminate is substantially continuously moved through a preheating zone, wherein the laminate comprises a first face sheet, a second face sheet and a core sandwiched between the first face sheet and the second face sheet; (2) consolidating the laminate as the laminate is substantially continuously moved through a consolidation zone in line with the preheating zone to form a continuous length of the composite sandwich structure; (3) moving the composite sandwich structure, substantially continuously, through at least one of a texturing zone and a coating zone; and (4) incrementally applying at least one of a surface texture and a surface coating to at least one surface of the composite sandwich structure.
Method to produce a coating layer, a building panel and a coated foil
The present disclosure relates to a method to produce a coating layer, including applying a coating composition on a surface of a carrier, curing the coating composition to a coating layer, and subsequently applying pressure to the coating layer. The disclosure further relates to a method to produce a building panel, and such a building panel, and to a method to produce a coated foil, and such a coated foil.
PROTECTIVE FACIAL PATCHES AND METHOD OF USE
A system for protecting a person's facial skin from contaminants due to the application of makeup is disclosed. The system may include one or more patches that may be applied to the person's eyelids, cheeks, lips or other locations, upon which makeup may then be applied. In this way the makeup is applied to the top surface of the patches and not directly to the person's skin. The system may thereby prevent microbes (e.g., bacteria, viruses, etc.) from being transferred from the makeup and/or the makeup applicator to the person's skin.
FORMABLE RESIN SHEET, SHAPED ARTICLE, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SHAPED ARTICLE, AND PRODUCT
A formable resin sheet includes a base and a thermally expansive layer that contains a thermally expandable material and is formed on one surface of the base. When the thermally expansive layer is expanded, the base is deformed with expansion of the thermally expansive layer, such that the base is deformed in an embossed shape, and a deformation amount of the base is greater than an expansion height of the thermally expansive layer.
BLOW MOLDED ARTICLE WITH VISUAL EFFECTS
An article with a hollow body defined by a wall with an inner surface and an outer surface. The wall is comprised of 2 or more layers including a first skin layer with effect pigments and an opaque core. In some examples, the effect pigment can be a special effect pigment adapted to produce at least one interference color.
COATING COMPOSITIONS
The present disclosure is drawn to coating compositions that can include an inorganic pigment, a non-ionic surfactant, latex particles, a polyvinyl alcohol, and a cationic fixing agent. The inorganic pigment can be included in an amount from 60 wt % to 90 wt % by dry weight. The latex particles can include a styrene-butadiene copolymer, and can be present in an amount of 4 wt % to less than 10 wt % by dry weight. The polyvinyl alcohol can have a weight average molecular weight of 150,000 Mw to 400,000 Mw.
