A structure according to an embodiment of the present technology includes: a decorative portion; and a member. The decorative portion includes a metal layer having a first surface, a second surface on a side opposite to the first surface, a first internal region, a second internal region, and minute cracks, the second surface having a reflectance higher than that of the first surface, the first internal region having a relatively high hardness on a side of the first surface, the second internal region having a relatively low hardness on a side of the second surface. The member includes a to-be-decorated region to which the decorative portion is to be bonded.
Decorative sheet and decorative plate
A decorative sheet includes a substrate and a surface protective layer formed on the substrate. A decorative plate is formed by laminating the decorative sheet on a base. The surface protective layer includes a first surface protective layer formed on the substrate and a second surface protective layer formed on part of the first surface protective layer. The first surface protective layer contains a curable resin and has a surface kinetic friction coefficient of 0.11 or more and 0.30 or less. The second surface protective layer contains at least one of resin beads and an inorganic compound filler. The first surface protective layer is glossier than the second surface protective layer.
FLOOR, WALL, OR CEILING PANEL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
A floor, wall, or ceiling panel and to a method for producing same. The panel has a base made of a wood material and an upper veneer. The base and the veneer are hot-pressed together while incorporating a resin layer. During the pressing process, pores, cracks, and/or gaps in the veneer are filled with resin. In particular, the pressing process is carried out such that the veneer is saturated with resin, and the resin can be seen on the surface of the veneer after the pressing process. The adhesion of the veneer to the base and the smoothing of the veneer are thus carried out in one operation.
Stiff polyethylene film with enhanced optical properties
The present invention relates to polyethylene films having a combination of high stiffness and good optics. The cast films have a first layer comprising a linear polyethylene having a density greater than 0.94 g/cm.sup.3 and a melt index less than or equal to 1.3 g/10 min together with a second layer comprising a linear polyethylene having a density greater than 0.94 g/cm.sup.3 and a melt index greater than or equal to 2.0 g/10 min. The second layer is an external layer of the film.
Heat sealable multilayer packaging film with improved opacity
An improved multilayer polymer film is disclosed. The film may include a first skin layer, a second skin layer, and an intermediate layer between the skin layers. The first, second and intermediate layers may be formed of respective first, second and intermediate polymer compositions. Each layer may have distributed therein particles of titanium dioxide to a weight content of from 6 percent to 14 percent. One or both the second skin layer and the intermediate layer may have distributed therein non-white pigment particles to a weight content of from 0.050 percent to 0.15 percent of such layer(s). The contents and distribution among layers of the pigments may provide for relatively disproportionate improvement of opacity while preserving a neutral white color surface to receive ink-printing, enabling high conformity of printed colors with target colors, and preserving weldability of the film to itself.
POLYETHYLENE LAMINATES FOR USE IN FLEXIBLE PACKAGING MATERIALS
Embodiments of a laminate structure for use in flexible packaging comprise a sealant film comprising ethylene-based polymer, and a multilayer polyethylene print film laminated to the sealant film. The print film comprises at least 3 layers and has an overall thickness from 15 to 30 m. The print film comprises a middle layer, an inner layer disposed between sealant film and the middle layer, and an outer layer, wherein the middle layer comprises at least 90% by weight high density polyethylene (HDPE) polymer having a density from 0.950 to 0.965 g/cc. The inner layer and the outer layer comprise linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) having a density from 0.925 to 0.965 g/cc. The laminate structure yields desired optical and mechanical properties coupled with recyclability and improved printing efficiency, while maintaining these low thicknesses for the print film.
DECORATIVE SHEET, DECORATIVE RESIN MOLDED ARTICLE, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
Provided is a decorative sheet having an excellent decorative appearance due to surface unevenness, as well as excellent abrasion resistance and moldability. This decorative sheet includes at least a substrate layer and a surface protective layer located on the surface of the substrate layer, wherein: the surface protective layer has a cross section in the direction of thickness; the cross section has an unevenness formed, on such surface side, by a repeating pattern including recesses and projections which are mutually adjacent; and the ratio of the measured average surface protective layer thickness (m) at the recesses, T.sub.v, and the measured average surface protective layer thickness (m) at the projections, T.sub.p, (average T.sub.p/average T.sub.v) satisfies the relationship of 0.10<T.sub.p average/T.sub.v average<0.35.
HIGH BARRIER COATED PAPERBOARD
Paperboard structures having extruded barrier layers are provided. Using layer multiplication extrusion it has been found that nylon barrier layer properties can be improved. The further inclusion of metallocene PE in the layers being layer multiplied through extrusion coating provide additional improvements in barrier properties for the paperboard substrate.
Color developing structure and method of producing the same
A color developing structure capable of achieving multi-hued color through a simple process, and a method of producing the same are provided. In the color developing structure formed on a surface of a base material: the color developing structure has a rectangular shape in plan view, and is formed of a concavo-convex structure having a plurality of convexities with different heights and a laminated film including a plurality of layers laminated on the concavo-convex structure; the plurality of layers adjoining in a lamination direction are made of materials that transmit light of the same wavelength band and have different refractive indices with respect to light of the wavelength band; and the plurality of layers have about the same thickness.
PROPYLENE RANDOM COPOLYMER COMPOSITION WITH REDUCED SEALING INITIATION TEMPERATURE
The present invention is directed to a polyolefin composition which is suitable as sealing layer of a multilayer film providing improved, i.e. reduced sealing initiation temperature. The polyolefin composition comprises a random copolymer of propylene and a polymer of 1-butene. The present invention is also directed to oriented and non-oriented films comprising the polyolefin composition and to the use of a polymer of 1-butene in a polyolefin composition comprising a random copolymer of propylene for reducing the sealing initiation temperature of an oriented or non-oriented film comprising the polyolefin composition.
