DECORATIVE MATERIAL
A decorative material that has higher scratch resistance while preventing defects generated during lamination of a gloss-adjusting layer. In a decorative material according to an embodiment of the present invention, a resin component that constitutes a first gloss-adjusting layer is a mixture of a urethane-based thermosetting resin having a polyol and an isocyanate, and an ionizing radiation-curable resin having an acrylic group or a methacrylic group; and the urethane-based thermosetting resin is contained in an amount within a range of 3 parts by mass or more and 100 parts by mass or less relative to 100 parts by mass of the ionizing radiation-curable resin.
DECORATIVE FILM AND DECORATIVE MOLDED BODY
Provided are a decorative film including: a base film, a reflective layer which contains metal particles and a resin on one surface of the base film, and a colored layer which contains a colorant other than the metal particles on a surface of the reflective layer opposite to a side where the base film is provided; and a decorative molded body.
POLYOLEFIN-BASED COMPOSITION FOR A LID AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to compositions and processes suitable for use in forming a lid for a hot food or beverage container, the lid being made from a multi-layer sheet that includes a substrate layer and a cap layer made from polyolefin-based compositions. The lid has a density less than water at 23 C., allowing the lid to be recycled in a recycling stream.
Incombustible decorative sheet, metal decorative member and method for fabricating a metal decorative member
A decorative sheet which ensures good incombustibility, processability and weatherability along with weatherability, contamination resistance and solvent resistance. An incombustible decorative sheet having incombustibility includes a weather-resistant resin layer and a fluorine resin layer laminated on a substrate layer in this order, wherein the weather-resistant resin layer is made of a mixture of an acrylic resin and an acrylic resin-based rubber having a ratio by mass between the acrylic resin-based rubber and the acrylic resin within a range of 30:70 to 60:40. The ratio between the fluorine resin layer and the weather-resistant resin layer is within a range of 10:90 to 40:60.
Curative
A curative for epoxidized plant-based oils and epoxidized natural rubber is created from the reaction between a naturally occurring polyfunctional acid and an epoxidized plant-based oil is disclosed. The curative may be used to produce porosity-free castable resins and vulcanize rubber formulations based on epoxidized natural rubber. Materials made from disclosed materials may be advantageously used as leather substitutes.
METHOD OF FORMING A REUSABLE COEXTRUDED EMBOSSED NONADHESIVE PROTECTIVE COVER
A method of forming a reusable, non-adhesive protective cover is disclosed which includes extruding first and second layers of a thermoplastic film onto a rotatable cast roll. The first layer has an interior surface and an exterior surface. The second layer is extruded onto the interior surface of the first layer to form a co-extruded laminate. The second layer has an exterior surface exhibiting attachment and release capabilities such that a joint tape can be used to join adjacent sheets of the protective cover together. The co-extruded laminate is then advanced between a nip formed by an embossing roll and a rubber roll whereby the exterior surface of the first layer contacts the embossing roll to form a co-extruded embossed laminate. Lastly, the co-extruded embossed laminate is passed around at least a portion of a chill roll to cool the laminate and form the reusable, co-extruded embossed non-adhesive protective cover.
CLEAR FILM FOR TAPES AND LABELS
A multilayer film for use in adhesive tape or adhesive label applications comprising a core layer and skin layers on each side of the core layer. The core layer comprises a polypropylene mini-random homopolymer, wherein the mini-random homopolymer comprises polypropylene, up to 2 wt % ethylene components, and a acid neutralizer in a concentration up to 5000 ppm calcium. The skin layers each comprise a) at least about 95 wt % of a polypropylene mini-random homopolymer comprising polypropylene, up to 2 wt % ethylene components, and an acid neutralizer in a concentration up to about 5000 ppm, and b) an anti-block agent in a concentration up to about 1 wt %, wherein the anti-block agent comprises at least 95 wt % homopolymer of polypropylene and 1 to 5 wt % of silica having a particle size between about 1 to 3 m.
DIGITAL PRINTED WEBS AND SHEETS WITH SEMI-INTERPENETRATING POLYMER PRIMER LAYERS
A digital printing process that applies a liquid radiation curable primer containing 20 to 80% of at least one acrylate functional monomer and 20 to 60% of at least one thermoplastic polyurethane polymer onto a surface of a flat web or sheet substrate; cures the primer by UV or EB irradiation to give a dry, tack-free surface; and then uses a digital printing press that uses a liquid-toner-based electrographic imaging process with a press blanket to transfer a printed image from the press blanket to the cured-primer coated substrate. The resulting printed web or sheet may have a dry, tack-free semi-interpenetrating polymer network layer adjacent the printed image.
FILM, ROLL AND ADHESIVE TAPE
There are provided a film excellent in easy cuttability and linear cuttability and suppressed in breakability in processing, and a roll and a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape, wherein the film has the tensile strength in one direction is 1.1 to 2.5 kN/m and the tensile strength in a direction orthogonal to the one direction is 3.0 to 10 kN/m, or the tensile strain at strength in one direction is 50 to 150% and the tensile strain at strength in a direction orthogonal to the one direction is 8 to 20%.
ARTIFICIAL LEATHER SHEET AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THEREOF
An artificial leather sheet includes a substrate layer, a foaming layer formed on upper surfaces of the substrate layer, a surface layer formed on upper surfaces of the foaming layer, and a surface treatment layer formed on upper surfaces of the surface layer. The foaming layer includes a polyvinyl chloride resin, a plasticizer, a foaming agent, and a stabilizer. The surface layer includes the polyvinyl chloride resin, the plasticizer, and the stabilizer. The plasticizer is bis-(2-propylheptyl) phthalate (DPHP) and di-isononyl adipate (DINA).
