Three-dimensional sticker with high-resolution image and removable adhesive
10201948 · 2019-02-12 ·

A three-dimensional sticker is disclosed that includes a body. The body has the following components: a rigid main sheet constructed from a thermoformable plastic layer, and a flexible/stretchable ink layer adhered the main sheet. Additionally, the body may employ an adhesive layer comprising a repositionable adhesive adhered to the rigid main sheet and a thermoformable release liner detachably adhered to the adhesive layer. The body is thermoformed into a three-dimensional shape with an anchor region and an elevated region. The anchor region is substantially planar and defines an anchor plane, and the elevated region is outside of the anchor plane. The adhesive layer and release liner may be present in the anchor region and elevated region. Additionally, the three-dimensional sticker may comprise a multi-part construction wherein the parts can be separated from each other for easier transport and installation.

Polymeric sheets, methods for making and using the same, and articles comprising polymeric sheets

In one embodiment, a polymeric sheet, comprising: a foamed layer comprising a polymeric material, wherein the polymeric material has a Tg of greater than or equal to 100? C.; and wherein the sheet has a weight reduction of 10% to 60%, as compared to a solid sheet of the same geometry and size formed from the same polymeric material. The sheet, at the thickness of 1.0 mm, has a smoke density of less than or equal to 200 particles after four minutes of burning according to ASTM E662-06. The sheet is thermoformable.

DECORATIVE LAMINATE FILM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
20190030868 · 2019-01-31 · ·

A decorative laminate film including at least an inner film and an outer film, on which a printed pattern and a protruded portion that protrudes toward the outer film side are formed. The protruded portion is positioned on or in the vicinity of the printed pattern, and the outline of the printed pattern is blurred. The printed pattern and the protruded portion can be aligned easily, thereby providing excellent productivity. Even if the protruded portion is slightly misaligned, the design does not deteriorate, and the decorative laminate film has a favorable design due to gradation effect imparted by the protruded portion and the adjacent printed pattern.

MULTILAYER FILM FOR VACUUM SKIN PACKAGING, METHOD OF PACKAGING AND PACKAGES OBTAINED THEREWITH

The present invention relates to packaging films, more specifically to cross-linked packaging films useful in vacuum skin packaging applications characterized by versatile sealing properties, especially by unexpected versatile sealability on polyester and on different substrates, to a method of packaging by using said films and to packages obtained therewith. Said packages show high drip retention, easy openability and good performance in microwave applications.

Fabric having a waterproof barrier

Provided herein are ecologically friendly waterproof fabrics that include a base fabric having a body-facing surface and an outward-facing surface, and a hydrophobic, waterproof barrier disposed on the outward-facing surface of the base fabric. The base fabric may be a wicking fabric or may be treated with a compound that enhances wicking, and the hydrophobic, waterproof barrier may include a plastic polymer, polyurethane, polyethylene, and/or polytetrafluoroethylene. The waterproof fabrics also may include an abrasion-resistant coating and/or a PFC-free durable water repellant (DWR) agent disposed on an outward-facing surface of the hydrophobic, waterproof barrier, and one or both of the abrasion-resistant coating and/or PFC-free DWR agent may be discontinuous. Also provided are methods of making a waterproof fabric.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A REGISTERED EMBOSSED DECORATIVE PANEL

A method for manufacturing a registered embossed decorative panel including providing a substrate having a printed design, applying a coating to the surface of the substrate, applying a release foil to the coating, curing the coating to maintain the position of the release foil, printing a resin on the release foil, consolidating the composite under heat and pressure, and removing the release foil.

LAMINATE, MOLDED ARTICLE IN WHICH LAMINATE IS USED, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME

A method of manufacturing a molded article, which comprises: (a) a step of manufacturing the molded article by use of a laminate that has a first layer comprising polypropylene, and a second layer comprising one or more selected from the group consisting of polyethylene, polyamide, an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, and an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer.

Metal transfer film and method of using same

A metal transfer film of thermoplastic polymer includes a polymeric carrier film, a layer of metal to be transferred onto an article, and a layer of retention adhesive suitable for bonding the transferred metal layer to a surface of the article. The transferable metal layer is adjacent between the carrier film and the retention adhesive layer. Optionally, the carrier film has a releasably adhesive layer on the side in contact with the metal. The retention adhesive is a polyvinyl amine crosslinked with citric acid. The retention adhesive is deposited on the metal layer from a liquid solution and dried to a non-tacky, solid coating enabling handling of the metal transfer film in conventional film processing unit operations. The dry retention adhesive can be activated by the metal transfer operator remotely from the adhesive application process and provides significant oxygen, moisture and aroma barrier properties to the metal covered article.

Multilayer Films and Methods of Making the Same

Disclosed are multilayer films which can provide desired film performance and balanced overall performance suited for various applications.

IMAGE CONTAINING LAMINATE

One example provides a method. The method includes printing an image on a surface of laminate, the laminate including: a backing layer; and a transparency disposed over the backing layer. The transparency may have a first side having the image printed thereon and a second side disposed over a first side of the backing layer, the second side opposite the first side. The method may include detaching the second side of the transparency from the first side of the backing layer and reattaching the first side of the transparency to the first side of the backing layer to form a laminated image. The method may include disposing the laminated image over a substrate surface having a curvature.
