Prescription Screen Protector
20220163818 · 2022-05-26 ·

The present invention relates to a transparent prescription screen protector. The transparent prescription screen protector provides a prescribed corrected power range for a user with a presbyopia vision defect. The screen protector also protects a display screen on which the cover is applied from scratches, breakage and other damage and debris. The screen protector is a multi-layer device, wherein the top layer is touch sensitive and is configured to receive the user's touch input. The bottom layer has an adhesive backing to removably secure the screen protector to the display screen. The intermediate layer has embedded prescription lenses with a prescribed power range and configured to compensate for the farsightedness vision defect of the user, thereby allowing the user to view the content displayed on the display screen clearly.

Light-permeable multilayer composite film made of plastic as the surface coating of an article, wherein the composite film comprises at least one outer, at least partially light-permeable top layer optionally provided with a lacquer and at least one further layer arranged on the back of the top layer, wherein arranged on the back side of the top layer is at least one sheetlike, optically active textile layer, preferably a textile layer comprising threads made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and/or made of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), wherein the textile layer has light-transmitting, light-refracting and light-reflecting properties or a combination thereof and the transmission, refraction and reflection properties are such that illumination of the textile layer, in particular back side illumination of the textile layer, results in preferably uniformized light transmission through the top layer.

Oriented polypropylene film with improved blocking resistance

The present disclosure is directed to a film formulation that resulted in a substantially non-migratory cold seal release film with improved blocking resistance. Specifically, the multilayered biaxially oriented polypropylene film can include a core layer of polypropylene homopolymer; a first outer layer on one side of the core layer that can be suitable for sealing, printing, or coating; and a second outer layer on the opposite side of the core layer that is a blocking resistant layer comprising thermoplastic polymers which reduce blocking tendency.

Light-control panel with gradual index transition

Light-control panels including layered optical components are described in this application. An example of a light-control panel includes first and second glazing layers, first and second transitional layers extending between the first and second glazing layers that guide light emitted from a light source, and a third glazing layer extending between the first and second transitional layers through which light emitted from the light source is guided. The light-control panel also includes a light extraction layer extending between the third glazing layer and one of the first and second transitional layers that distributes light emitted from the light source. The first and second transitional layers have refractive indices that gradually decrease from a first value at surfaces proximate to the first and second glazing layers to a second value at surfaces proximate to the third glazing layer in the stack-up of the light-control panel.

The first and second laminate bodies are pressure bonded such that the optical interference layer of the first laminate and the uncured hardcoat layer of the second laminate are in contact with each other.

Quantum dot films utilizing multi-phase resins

Multi-phase polymer films containing quantum dots (QDs) are described herein. The films have domains of primarily hydrophobic polymer and domains of primarily hydrophilic polymer. QDs, being generally more stable within a hydrophobic matrix, are dispersed primarily within the hydrophobic domains of the films. The hydrophilic domains tend to be effective at excluding oxygen.
