FLEXIBLE MICROWAVE CATHETERS FOR NATURAL OR ARTIFICIAL LUMENS
A method for forming a resonating structure within a body lumen, the method including advancing a flexible microwave catheter into a body lumen of a patient, the flexible microwave catheter including a radiating portion at the distal end of the flexible microwave catheter, the radiating portion configured to receive microwave energy, and at least one centering device proximate the radiating portion configured to deploy radially outward from the flexible microwave catheter; positioning the radiating portion near tissue of interest; deploying the at least one centering device radially outward from the flexible microwave catheter within the body lumen such that a longitudinal axis of the radiating portion is substantially parallel with and at a fixed distance from a longitudinal axis of the body lumen near the targeted tissue; and delivering microwave energy to the radiating portion such that a circumferentially balanced resonating structure is formed with the body lumen.
Non-invasive energy upconversion methods and systems
Products, compositions, systems, and methods for modifying a target structure which mediates or is associated with a biological activity, including treatment of conditions, disorders, or diseases mediated by or associated with a target structure, such as a virus, cell, subcellular structure or extracellular structure. The methods may be performed in situ in a non-invasive manner by placing a nanoparticle having a metallic shell on at least a fraction of a surface in a vicinity of a target structure in a subject and applying an initiation energy to a subject thus producing an effect on or change to the target structure directly or via a modulation agent. The nanoparticle is configured, upon exposure to a first wavelength λ.sub.1, to generate a second wavelength λ.sub.2 of radiation having a higher energy than the first wavelength λ.sub.1. The methods may further be performed by application of an initiation energy to a subject in situ to activate a pharmaceutical agent directly or via an energy modulation agent, optionally in the presence of one or more plasmonics active agents, thus producing an effect on or change to the target structure. Kits containing products or compositions formulated or configured and systems for use in practicing these methods.

Apparatus and method for providing hyperthermia therapy
An apparatus and method for providing hyperthermia therapy to a living subject, in particular a human, animal or plant. The apparatus has contains a signal generator, a signal modulator and an emitter to enable the apparatus to provide hyperthermia treatment. Hyperthermia therapy may be provided to a living subject by generating a signal, selectably modulating the signal and delivering the signal to the target location on the living subject. It is possible to interrupt any further use of the apparatus after a predetermined period.
Optimally Integrated Generator Antenna System
A radio frequency (RF) or microwave energy applicator device (10) for applying radio frequency or microwave radiation to a target (22), the applicator (10) comprising: an energy generator module (12) for generating RF or microwave energy, wherein the energy generator module (12) comprises an energy output (16) for outputting said generated energy; a radiating structure (14) for radiating RF or microwave radiation to the target wherein the radiating structure (14) comprises an energy input (18), wherein the energy generator module (12) and the radiating structure (14) are coupled to provide the energy output (16) of the energy generator module (12) and the energy input (18) of the radiating structure (14) at a transmission interface (20); wherein the transmission interface (20) comprises at least one transmission feature comprising a size, dimension and/or shape selected so that at least part of the energy provided to the transmission interface (20) is transmitted to the radiating structure (18) and/or at least part of the energy provided to the transmission interface (20) is reflected.
HANDHELD MILLIMETER WAVE IRRADIATION DEVICE
A handheld millimeter wave irradiation device including: a housing having a holding part, an irradiation part, and an operation control part; and at least one circuit board and a battery unit disposed inside the housing, the battery unit being used for supplying power to the at least one circuit board; where the holding part is used to facilitate hand holding for a user, the irradiation part is used to aim at a selected area of a human body for a millimeter wave irradiation operation, and the operation control part is used for the user to input commands to turn on/off the handheld millimeter wave irradiation device and select an operation mode of the millimeter wave irradiation operation.
Methods and devices to treat nasal airways
Methods and devices for treating nasal airways are provided. Such devices and methods may improve airflow through an internal and/or external nasal valve, and comprise the use of mechanical re-shaping, energy application and other treatments to modify the shape, structure, and/or air flow characteristics of an internal nasal valve, an external nasal valve or other nasal airways.
System and method for tumor treatment
An apparatus used for increasing the level of CD4.sup.+T cells in a mammal. The mammal has a cancerous tissue. The apparatus comprises a cold treatment unit and a heat treatment unit. The cold treatment unit is used for cooling the cancerous tissue. The heat treatment unit is used for heating the cancerous tissue. A method for increasing the level of CD4.sup.+ T cells in the body of a cancer patient, comprising steps for cold treatment of the cancerous tissue and for heat treatment of the cancerous tissue.
Methods and devices to treat nasal airways
A method for reshaping a nasal airway in a patient involves advancing an inflatable balloon of a reshaping device in an uninflated configuration into a nostril of the patient and between a nasal septum and a lateral wall of the nasal airway. The method then involves inflating the inflatable balloon to an inflated configuration to cause the inflatable balloon to contact nasal mucosa covering the nasal septum and the lateral wall, delivering energy from an energy delivery member attached to or inside of the inflatable balloon, and removing the reshaping device from the nasal airway.
