A method and system for the production of a web the fibers of which form a mean angle with respect to the longitudinal direction. The method and system include the passage of the web through a looping system, the passing of the web over a conveyor provided with brushes, the deposition of a first pre-needle-punched layer of fibers over the accumulated undulations, the assembling of the accumulated undulations with the first pre-needle-punched layer by needling, the assembling of the structure with a second pre-needle-punched layer of fibers, so as to obtain a sandwich structure, and the separation of the sandwich structure so as to obtain two symmetrical velour coverings. The web is a card web with a mean angle between 5 and 10° and an area density between 80 and 120 g/m.sup.2. The method includes a longitudinal drawing of the web, with a stretch ratio between 1.5 and 2.

Rotor blade for a wind power plant. The rotor blade includes a plurality of curved laminated wooden modules attached to each other, where each curved laminated wooden module includes a plurality of laminated veneer lumber boards. Each curved laminated wooden module is curved in at least one direction, where each laminated veneer lumber board includes a first set of veneer plies, where the first set of veneer plies includes a plurality of veneer plies and where the wood grain is directed in a first direction, and a second set of veneer plies, where the second set of veneer plies includes a single veneer ply or several veneer plies arranged adjacent each other and where the direction of wood grain differs from the first direction. Beneficially, the rotor blade including curved laminated wooden modules can be obtained in an easy and cost-effective way. The rotor blade is further environmental friendly.

ORIENTED FILM CONTAINING RECYCLED POLYAMIDE
20230364891 · 2023-11-16 ·

A low odor packaging film is disclosed. The low odor packaging film comprises an oriented film. The oriented film includes a first odor barrier layer, a second barrier layer and an inner layer that comprises a multicomponent recyclate. The inner layer is present between the first odor barrier layer and the second odor barrier layer. The first and second odor barrier layers reduces the transmission of the odor or the odor causing components present in the multicomponent recyclate of the inner layer with a product or item packed with the low odor packaging film. The oriented film has a low haze value as compared to a non-oriented of the same composition and structure.

Polymer composite building product and method of fabrication

A building product for application to the exterior of a building. The front face of the product utilizes a first fiber sheet partially embedded within a thermoset polymer coating resin. A foamed closed cell admixture composition core with an inorganic filler overlays the thermoset polymer coating resin with the embedded fiber sheet. The admixture composition infiltrates and bonds to the portion of the fiber sheet that is not embedded within the thermoset polymer coating resin mechanically bonding to the thermoset polymer coating. A second fiber sheet overlays the admixture core and the admixture and second fiber sheet form the rear surface of the building product that is mounted adjacent the building surface.

Multi-layer bladder construct
11807350 · 2023-11-07 ·

A multi-layer bladder construct consisting of a non-stretchable outer covering and a stretchable inner bladder. The outer covering has an inner surface and is made from woven polymer fibers having a warp direction and a weft direction. The inner bladder is made from a bi-axially oriented polymer film. The inner bladder has an outer surface area that is smaller than the inner surface area of the outer covering. Upon inflation, the inner bladder stretches and expands until the outer surface of the inner bladder engages the inner surface of the outer covering, whereby a portion of tensile force loading on the outer covering is shared with the inner bladder. A stretchable flexible film is incorporated into the inner bladder in at least one selected location. The stretchable flexible film has an elastic expansion range which is greater that the elastic expansion range of the remainder of the inner bladder.
