Mold release film and method for producing laminate

Provided is a mold release film capable of transferring a concave-convex structure to the surface of an adhesive film.

Method for machining synthetic quartz glass substrate

A synthetic quartz glass substrate is machined by bringing a surface of the synthetic quartz glass substrate as the workpiece into contact with and superposing it on a surface of a protective member made of synthetic quartz glass to effect optical contact bonding of the workpiece and the protective member, and passing a cutting tool through the optical contact bonding surfaces. This machining process is able to effectively prevent the generation of microdefects at the cutting tool entry site and extraction site during a cutting operation. Moreover, a fixing agent is not used to join the workpiece and the protective member, and so productivity is high because there is no need for the application and later removal of a fixing agent.

INSULATED GLAZING UNITS AND MICROOPTICAL LAYER COMPRISING MICROSTRUCTURED DIFFUSER AND METHODS

Transfer tapes and methods of making transfer tapes are described. In one aspect, the transfer tape comprises a template layer having a structured surface; a backfill layer disposed on at least a portion of the template layer, the backfill layer having a microstructured surface opposite the structured surface; and a layer disposed adjacent the microstructured surface, wherein the layer disposed adjacent the microstructured surface has a refractive index that differs from the backfill layer. The microstructured surface together with the adjacent layer functions as a diffusive layer, or in other words a diffusive interface. Also described are microoptical glazing and methods of making microoptical glazing as well as insulated glazing units and methods of making insulated glazing units.

Laminated steel plate, manufacturing method therefor, and sheet to be used therefor

An embodiment relates to a sheet comprising an acrylic resin layer and a fluorinated polymer resin layer directly formed on one surface of the acrylic resin layer; a laminated steel plate comprising the sheet; and a manufacturing method therefor.

Coextruded, crosslinked multilayer polyolefin foam structures from recycled metallized polyolefin material and methods of making the same

A physically crosslinked, closed cell continuous multilayer foam structure comprising at least one polypropylene/polyethylene coextruded foam layer is obtained. The multilayer foam structure is obtained by coextruding a multilayer structure comprising at least one foam composition layer, irradiating the coextruded structure with ionizing radiation, and continuously foaming the irradiated structure.

LAMINATED CAN END STOCK WITH ELEVATED TEMPERATURE ANNEALING

Improved aluminum can end stock (CES) is disclosed. The CES includes a laminated, amorphous polymer coating exhibiting low feathering, low blushing, and high performance in an acetic acid test. The laminated metal strip can include the laminated polymer coating on an interior-facing side and a lacquered coating on an exterior-facing side. The CES is formed by performing an annealing process on the laminated metal strip, wherein the metal strip is raised to an annealing temperature above the melting point of the polymer for a sufficient duration to render the polymer amorphous. In some cases, the polymer film laminated to the metal strip is a Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film.

Systems and methods are described herein for manufacturing and using roofing membranes that are faster and easier to install than conventional adhesive-only membrane materials. In some embodiments, membrane materials are surface treated using a plasma flow, e.g., a blown-arc plasma flow, atmospheric plasma, corona plasma, or from portable plasma units, generated by passing a compressed plasma-generating gas through an electrical current to form the plasma-treated roofing membrane. The plasma treatments described herein may be applied as part of the manufacturing process, or in-situ at the site of roof installation. In some embodiments, membrane materials have surface chemistries, roughnesses and other surface characteristics that yield desired adhesion properties.

Polyimide film for semiconductor package

Disclosed is a semiconductor package polyimide film, which may prevent the stripping of a thermoplastic polyimide layer by reducing a difference in the average coefficient of linear thermal expansion between a substrate film and the thermoplastic polyimide layer, and may be readily detached after a reflow process is completed since the thermoplastic polyimide layer to be attached to a lead frame has a glass transition temperature less than or equal to a reflow process temperature.

Sandwich panel and a manufacturing method thereof

The present invention relates to a sandwich panel and a method of manufacturing the same. The sandwich panel according to the present invention has high density and improved physical properties such as flexural strength, flexural modulus, bending strength and lightening weighting ratio and is suitable for use in various consumer products or industrial materials.
