Polymer films and electronic devices

In a first aspect, a polymer film includes a polyimide. The polyimide includes one or more dianhydrides and one or more diamines. Each of the dianhydrides and diamines is selected from the group consisting of crankshaft monomers, flexible monomers, rigid rotational monomers, rigid non-rotational monomers, and rotational inhibitor monomers. The polymer film has a D.sub.f of 0.005 or less, a water absorption of 2.0% or less and a water vapor transport rate of 50 (g×mil)/(m.sup.2×day) or less. In a second aspect, a metal-clad laminate includes the polymer film of first aspect and a first metal layer adhered to a first outer surface of the polymer film. A method is provided for manufacturing flooring planks including a plastic base and an image plastic layer. The method includes a feeding step of feeding a layered raw material of a long decorative material to be rolled into oppositely rolling rollers; and a rolling step of hot rolling an embossing on the transparent plastic layer. A feeding tension of a printed plastic layer is adjusted according to a longitudinal deviation between the embossing and the pattern in the rolling step. The device includes a first feeding device, a second feeding device, the oppositely rolling rollers, a detecting device, and a tension controller disposed on the second feeding device. According to the long decorative material with the embossing in register with the pattern manufactured by the method, the embossing hot-rolled on the transparent plastic layer is in register with the pattern on the printed plastic layer.

A method for manufacturing a polyester film for embossing that is made from a recycled polyester material. A part of the recycled polyester material is physically reproduced to obtain physically regenerated polyester chips. The physically regenerated polyester chips include physically regenerated regular polyester chips. Another part of the recycled polyester material is chemically reproduced to obtain chemically regenerated polyester chips. The chemically regenerated polyester chips include chemically regenerated regular polyester chips and chemically regenerated electrostatic pinning polyester chips. The physically regenerated polyester chips and the chemically regenerated polyester chips are mixed to form a base material. The base material is used to form a base layer that having a main component of regenerated polyethylene terephthalate. A surface coating layer is formed onto the base layer. A material of the surface coating layer includes a main resin, fillers, and melamine.

Asymmetric polytetrafluoroethylene composite having a macro-textured surface and method for making the same

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) composite articles that have a macro textured surface. The composite articles include at least two different PTFE membranes in a layered or stacked configuration. The composite article has a macro textured surface characterized by a plurality of strands raised from the surface of the PTFE membrane. The strands may be formed of either interconnected nodes of PTFE or of at least one nodal mass of PTFE and have a length equal to or greater than about 1.5 mm. The macro textured surface provides a topography to the first PTFE membrane. The composite articles have a bubble point from about 3.0 psi to about 200 psi, a thickness from about 0.01 to about 3.0 mm, and a bulk density from about 0.01 g/cm.sup.3 to about 1.0 g/cm.sup.3.

Anisotropic thin polyethylene sheet and applications thereof and the process of making the same

This invention relates to an anisotropic multilayer film and the process of making a multilayer film, wherein a supercritical blowing agent is introduced to at least one layer, wherein at least one layer comprises 10 to 100 percent by weight LLDPE with a melt index of 0.2 to 2 g/10 min. The film in this invention can have a surface with an average Sheffield smoothness, according to TAPPI T 538, of less than 100. The film in this invention can have a puncture propagation tear resistance, in accordance with ASTM D2582, greater than 500 g/mil.

Curable polysiloxane compositions and slippery materials and coatings and articles made therefrom

The present teachings generally provide curable polysiloxane compositions including a base resin including a surface active polymer. Articles of manufacture including the curable polysiloxane compositions and slippery coatings and materials also are provided. The compositions may be used to provide slippery, lubricious, or repellent materials and coatings and may provide anti-fouling function. The compositions can provide anti-fouling or foul-release function on open surfaces, internal surfaces, membranes; to provide pinning free or low contact angle hysteresis surfaces; to provide homogeneous interface to suppress nucleation; to provide a barrier layer such as anti-corrosion; to provide anti-stain, anti-smudge, anti-fingerprint, anti-soil function.

The suction fixing sheet of the present disclosure is a suction fixing sheet to be placed on a suction surface of a suction device to prevent contact between a suction target and the suction surface. The suction fixing sheet includes a porous sheet having air permeability in its thickness direction; and a double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet provided with a substrate, having air permeability in its thickness direction, and disposed on one surface of the porous sheet, or a double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive layer unprovided with a substrate, formed of a crosslinked pressure-sensitive adhesive, having air permeability in its thickness direction, and disposed on one surface of the porous sheet. The ratio of the thickness of the porous sheet to the thickness of the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet or the double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive layer is 8.0 or more.

The tube body (30) includes: a cylindrical laminated sheet (31) in which both edges (31a, 31b) of the sheet are butted together; and a reinforcing tape portion (reinforcing tape 35) provided on an inner surface of the laminated sheet (31) along a butted portion (32). The laminate sheet (31) includes a high hardness protective layer (18) constituting an outermost layer, an outer polyethylene-based resin layer (21) formed on an inner side of the high hardness protective layer (18), and an inner polyethylene-based resin layer (11) constituting an innermost layer, and the high hardness protective layer (18) has a pencil hardness of 3B or greater than 3B. The reinforcing tape portion (35) includes a polyethylene-based resin layer (outer reinforcing resin layer 59) as an outermost layer abutting against the inner surface of the laminate sheet (31).
