Composite structural element and torsion box
This relates to a composite structural element, in particular a rib or a spar, specifically for use in a torsion box of an aircraft structure such as a vertical tailplane, wherein the structural element defines a coordinate system with a first axis “a” wherein the structural element comprises a substantially planar main section defining a coordinate system with a first axis “a” extending along the longitudinal axis “L” of the structural element and a second axis “b” extending perpendicular to said longitudinal axis “L” within the planar main section and defining an angle of +90° with the first axis “a”, wherein the structural element contains a lay-up of single plies consisting of a fiber-reinforced composite material with a substantially unidirectional fiber orientation.
LAMINATED GLASS, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING LAMINATED GLASS
To provide a laminated glass in which color shading of an optical member is reduced, and a method for producing it.
A laminated glass comprising
a first glass plate,
a second glass plate facing the first glass plate, and
between the first glass plate and the second glass plate, a light control member to which a power feeder is connected, a bonding portion and a sealing member,
wherein the sealing member overlaps with at least a part of the periphery of the first glass plate, in a plan view,
the bonding portion is in contact with the first glass plate, the second glass plate, and a first principal surface, a second principal surface and side surfaces of the light control member, and
the bonding portion contains a curable transparent resin.
INTERLAYER FILM FOR LAMINATED GLASS AND LAMINATED GLASS
The present invention provides an interlayer film for laminated glass which has excellent sound insulating properties even when the thickness is reduced, and also hardly causes optical unevenness.
An interlayer film for laminated glass includes at least one layer A containing a thermoplastic elastomer, wherein the shear storage modulus of the layer A at 70° C. as measured by performing a dynamic viscoelasticity test at a frequency of 1,000 Hz in accordance with ASTM D4065-06 is 1 MPa or more, and a layer having a higher shear storage modulus than the layer A is provided on at least one surface of the layer A, and at least one surface of the interlayer film for laminated glass is in a state of having been shaped.
Composite Structure
A composite structure comprising a resinous component that is adhered to a surface of a metal component is provided. The resinous component is formed from a polymer composition that comprises a polyarylene sulfide, inorganic fibers, and an impact modifier. The inorganic fibers have an aspect ratio of from about 1.5 to about 10.
Hot melt adhesive compositions containing propylene copolymers and methods for using the same
A hot melt adhesive composition, which may be used as a construction adhesive in hygiene articles, comprises a first polymer comprising a unimodal copolymer of propylene and ethylene and having a weight average molecular weight of between about 5,000 and 60,000 daltons; a second polymer comprising a copolymer of propylene and ethylene and having a weight average molecular weight of at least 100,000 daltons; a tackifying resin having a Ring & Ball softening point of at most 115° C.; and a plasticizer. The composition demonstrates good peel strength and good shear resistance and is sprayable, with a sufficiently low viscosity, at low application temperatures, such as at about 121° C.
COMPOSITE MATERIAL WITH INSERT-MOLDED ATTACHMENT STEEL
A composite material with an insert-molded attachment steel is provided. The composite material includes a plurality of burring apertures, each of which has a flange in one direction on the attachment steel and is inserted between fibers. A resin is then introduced between the fibers in each burring aperture and external to the flange.
