DEVICE AND METHOD FOR IMPROVED INDUCTION OF NOISE BY MEANS OF ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION
Provided herein is a device for improved induction of sound by electromagnetic radiation, comprising a carrier layer; a first substance having a reflective property with respect to electromagnetic radiation having a predetermined wavelength spectrum; and a second substance having an absorptive property with respect to electromagnetic radiation having said predetermined wavelength spectrum; wherein said first substance is disposed in a region between said carrier layer and said second substance. Furthermore, a corresponding method is provided.
PHOTOTHERAPY DEVICE
The present disclosure provides a method for treating ischemic stroke by illuminating a skin surface to reduce free radical generation in subsurface target tissues (e.g., the brain following an ischemic event). The method utilizes a waveguide that receives light from a light source. The waveguide is placed adjacent a skin surface of a patient and the waveguide emits light that passes through the skin surface and illuminates a subsurface target tissue. The waveguide includes light-extracting features configured to emit light at a target angle relative to the surface tissue. That is, the light-extracting features alter a trajectory of light emitted by the waveguide, such that a larger percentage of light emitted by the light guide has an angle that is +/−25 degrees off of a center line of the light guide.
TOOTHBRUSH FOR PROMOTING PLAQUE REMOVAL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
A toothbrush for promoting plaque removal, and a manufacturing method therefor are proposed. The toothbrush includes: a head part in which elements for cleaning teeth are arranged; a first electrode on the head part; a second electrode on the head part, the second electrode being spaced a predetermined distance from the first electrode and grounded; and a voltage supply part configured to superpose alternating current (AC) voltage and direct current (DC) voltage and apply the AC voltage and the DC voltage together to the first electrode.
CONNECTED BODY SURFACE CARE MODULE
A wearable treatment and analysis module is provided. The module is positioned on or near a body surface region of interest. The module provides remote access to sensor data, treatment administration, and/or other health care regimens via a network connection with a user device and/or management system.
Systems and methods for phototherapeutic modulation of nitric oxide
Systems and methods for phototherapeutic modulation of nitric oxide in mammalian tissue include use of a first wavelength and first radiant flux of light to stimulate enzymatic generation of nitric oxide, and use of a second wavelength and second radiant flux of light to stimulate release of nitric oxide from endogenous stores of nitric oxide. Pulsed light and/or partially non-overlapping light impingement windows may be used. Non-coherent light impinged on tissue may include a peak wavelength in a range of from 410 nm to 440 nm in the absence of light emissions having a peak wavelength of from 600 nm to 900 nm.
Transcutaneous irradiation device and application to the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases
The technology disclosed herein relates to a transcutaneous irradiation device having a top portion and a bottom portion. The top portion may include one or more transcutaneous irradiation modules configured to be arranged on a head of a user, the top transcutaneous irradiation modules including a top pulsed laser source. The bottom portion may include one or more transcutaneous irradiation modules configured to be arranged on an abdomen of the user, the top transcutaneous irradiation modules including a bottom pulsed laser source. A modulation frequency may be applied to the top and bottom irradiation modules such that the top and bottom pulse laser sources are subjected to a double pulse.
Optical stimulation system with on-demand monitoring and methods of making and using
An optical stimulation system includes a light source configured to produce light for optical stimulation; a light monitor; an optical lead coupled, or coupleable, to the light source and the light monitor; and a control module coupled, or coupleable, to the light source and the light monitor. The control module includes a memory, and a processor coupled to the memory and configured for receiving a request for verification or measurement of a light output value; in response to the request, receiving, from the light monitor, a measurement of light generated by the light source; and, based on the measurement, reporting a response to the request.
PORTABLE HAIR REMOVAL DEVICE
A portable hair removal device (10), comprising a head portion (30), and a housing (20) connected to one end of the head portion (30). An emitter capable of emitting light is provided in the housing (20), and the light emitted by the emitter passes through the head portion (30) and then acts on the skin for hair removal. The head portion (30) is provided with at least a phototherapy lamp (32), and light emitted by the phototherapy lamp (32) acts on the skin through the head (30) and takes care of the skin. The portable hair removal device (10) has rich functions and a good skin care effect.
HEAD WEARABLE LIGHT THERAPY DEVICE
Systems and methods are described for treatment of neurological conditions in which transcranial illumination using infrared, near-infrared and/or red wavelengths of light are delivered into the brain of a patient using a portable head wearable device. Arrays of light emitters are simultaneously controlled to provide a selected power density and distribution during a therapeutic session to treat a condition of the patient. An external controller such as a touchscreen tablet or laptop computer can be used to select illumination parameters for each patient. The system can be used to provide treatment to children such as those having autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PHOTOBIOMODULATION-BASED ALTERNATIVE TO ELECTRICAL VAGUS NERVE STIMULATION AND DEEP BRAIN STIMULATION RELATED TO MOVEMENT DISORDERS
