METHOD FOR PRODUCING A COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND A COMPOSITE MATERIAL

The invention relates to a process for producing a coating film, optionally in the form of sheets or slabs, especially for the coating of a carrier layer (3), optionally textile materials and/or peelable polyurethane foams and/or a textile carrier layer (3), wherein the coating film (100) has an optionally multilayer upper layer (1) and a bonding layer (2) bonded thereto and optionally having multiple layers (2, 2) for bonding to the carrier layer (3).

It is envisaged in accordance with the invention that the bonding layer (2) creates an uncrosslinked, polyurethane layer having thermoplastic properties and having a thickness between 0.080 and 0.500 mm, preferably between 0.200 and 0.500, especially between 0.120 and 0.180 mm, and is bonded to the upper layer (1), and the upper layer (1) is a polyurethane layer which has a one-layer or preferably two-layer structure with an outer layer (1) and inner layer (1) and does not have thermoplastic properties, or a non-thermoplastic polyurethane layer which is amorphous or has a predominantly amorphous structure, said polyurethane layer being thinner than the bonding layer (2).

Anti-Fatigue Mat/Shock Pad

An anti-fatigue mat/shock pad has a mat body with a top surface, a bottom surface, a left side edge, a right side edge and a top and bottom edges. The top and bottom surface of the mat have raised regions thereon which are made up of longitudinally extending raised ribs arranged in parallel fashion with respect to one another and spaced apart a selected distance by longitudinal channels. The longitudinal ribs on the top surface are offset from the longitudinal ribs on the bottom surface in an alternating fashion so that they present a staggered array when viewed in cross section. This particular pattern of raised ribs on the top and bottom surfaces of the mat produces a non-linear deformation pattern under impact forces in use, such as would be caused by athletes running or jumping on an athletic field.

Wear resistance of a high-temperature component imparted by a cobalt coating

A coated high-temperature component including a cobalt coating that has a higher carbon content is provided. A layer composed of a cobalt-based alloy is applied which is known as or is similar to substrate material, to the region of the component which is subject to the wear, wherein the component preferably comprises a nickel-based alloy as substrate material, the carbon content of which is lower than that of the cobalt-based alloy. At the high operating temperatures, carbon diffuses from the coating into the base material; this is normally undesirable, but here leads to a higher carbide proportion in the substrate and therefore to a higher hardness and therefore to an increased wear resistance.
