A window glass is disclosed. The window glass is divided into a transparent area and an opaque area formed to surround at least part of the transparent area. The window glass includes a transparent layer and an opaque layer that forms the opaque area by being stacked on a partial area of the transparent layer to correspond to the opaque area. The transparent layer includes a protective glass that forms a first surface of the window glass, a first transparent layer formed of a material that is hardened by irradiation of UV light, the first transparent layer including a pattern portion having a pattern formed on an area corresponding to the opaque area, and a second transparent layer formed of an optically isotropic material and formed between the protective glass and the first transparent layer. The opaque layer is formed on the pattern portion of the window glass.

Fibre reinforced composites

A molding material comprising a fibrous reinforcement layer and a curable resin matrix. The fibrous reinforcement layer comprises a non-woven fabric comprising a single layer of unidirectional tows arranged at an angle greater than 0° in relation to the lengthwise direction of the fabric and a support structure for maintaining the arrangement of the tows.

METHODS OF USING STIFFENING ELEMENTS THAT COMPRISE ONE OR MORE INTEGRAL CURRENT FLOWPATHS
20220161522 · 2022-05-26 ·

A stiffening element that includes one or more integral current flowpaths may include: a first layer including carbon-fiber-reinforced thermoplastic plies; a second layer including one or more glass-fiber-reinforced thermoplastic plies; and/or a third layer including aluminum. The third layer may form an outer surface of the stiffening element. The third layer may form at least part of the one or more integral current flowpaths. A method of using a stiffening element that comprises one or more integral current flowpaths as part of a current return network for a stiffened structure may include: selecting the stiffening element that includes a first layer including carbon-fiber-reinforced thermoplastic plies, a second layer including one or more glass-fiber-reinforced thermoplastic plies, and/or a third layer including aluminum; and/or routing current from the current return network through the one or more integral current flowpaths of the selected stiffening element.

Quasi-isotropic reinforced sheet material and production method thereof

A quasi-isotropic reinforced sheet material T formed by integrating a plurality of chopped semi prepreg sheet materials C including a reinforced fiber material and a thermoplastic resin material set in an unimpregnated state such that fiber directions of the reinforced fiber materials are oriented randomly in the two-dimensional direction. The average number of fibers in a thickness direction for materials C ranges is from two to ten and a thickness “t”, relative to the thickness (t.sub.p) in an impregnated state, is in a range of t.sub.p<t≤2×t.sub.p. A layered body M is obtained by bonding and integrating the materials C in a state where fiber directions of the reinforced fiber materials are oriented randomly in a two-dimensional direction and the materials C overlap such that the average number of the materials C in the thickness direction is set in a range from two to ten.

Automobile floor panel and automobile floor panel manufacturing method

A vehicle floor panel is provided in which a honeycomb core made of metal sandwiched and adhered between two CFRP plates is one in which a large number of core units formed into a polygon shape are continuous within one plane so as to share a side of the polygon. Since closed-section parts formed by a hat-shaped cross section part formed along the side and one CFRP plate are continuous with each other at a vertex of the polygon of the adjacent core units, not only is it possible to lighten the weight by opening the interior of the polygon (P) shape core unit, but it is also possible to enhance the energy-absorbing performance by dispersing and transmitting a collision load inputted into one direction of the floor panel toward a plurality of other directions because the high strength load transmission path is continuous with other load transmission paths.
