Lightweight, wood-free structural insulation sheathing
A structural insulation sheathing (SIS) comprises: a first upper facial member, a second lower facial member and an insulation member in intimate, planar contact with both the first upper member and second lower members. The first and second facial members are made from the same reinforcing fiber material less than about 3/16 inch thick. The insulation member comprises a foam layer, said structural insulation sheathing having at least 10×, preferably 15 to 20 times greater strength than its individual components.
Film for glass lamination, laminated glass comprising same, and transportation vehicle comprising laminated glass
A film for glass lamination includes a pigment portion occupying some or a whole of the film, wherein the pigment portion includes a polyvinyl acetal resin, a pigment, a plasticizer, and a trioxane-based compound.
Perimeter Structures for Joining Abutting Enclosure Components
An enclosure member for a building structure comprising a planar laminate having a first facing layer; a layer of foam having a first face and a second opposing face; and a second facing layer; where the first facing layer is fastened to the first face of the layer of foam, and the second facing layer is fastened to the second opposing face of the layer of foam. An edge of the enclosure is provided with a perimeter structure that can perform one or more of a sealing function, an edge reinforcement function and a pivotable joining function with another enclosure, in accordance with the particular embodiment.
Three-dimensional reinforced membrane
A three-dimensional reinforced membrane is designed to be inflated and used in various structural applications. A dropstitch or double wall fabric may be reinforced with one or more coatings, such as urethane-based coatings, and may also be laminated in accordance with various disclosed embodiments.
TANDEM VISION WINDOW AND MEDIA DISPLAY
Disclosed herein are systems, apparatuses, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media related to a display construct coupled to a structure (e.g., a vision window). The structure can be a supportive structure such as a fixture. The display construct is configured to facilitate media display and is at least partially transparent. The vision window may be a tintable window, e.g., a window in which its tint is electrically controllable (e.g., an electrochromic window). Various interactive capabilities with the display construct are disclosed (e.g., via a touch screen).
Roofing Shingles, Tiles and Shakes
The present disclosure relates generally to roofing elements and methods for making them. In one embodiment, the disclosure provides a roofing element in the form of a roofing shingle that includes a body of a foamed cured cross-linked polymer, the body having a top surface and a bottom surface, the body extending substantially in a plane and having a thickness in the range of 0.5 mm to 35 mm; and a layer of weather-resistant roofing granules disposed on and adhered at the top surface of roofing element. The roofing element can be made by providing a body of wet foamed curable composition, and allowing the curable composition to cure to provide the body of foamed cured cross-linked polymer.
HIGH-PRESSURE HOSE
A high-pressure hose includes an inner tube layer, a cord reinforcing layer, an outer tube layer, and a woven underlay-layer. The cord reinforcing layer is configured of a reinforcing cord wound in a spiral shape and disposed at a radial direction outer side of the inner tube layer. The outer tube layer is disposed at the radial direction outer side of the cord reinforcing layer. The woven underlay-layer is configured of n sheets of a strip-shaped woven underlay-material overlapped with one another and wound in a spiral shape, is disposed between the inner tube layer and the cord reinforcing layer, and includes an overlap portion where one width direction side portion and another width direction side portion of the same strip-shaped woven underlay-material are overlapped with one another. The woven underlay-layer is configured entirely by at least n layers of the strip-shaped woven underlay-material, and a number of overlaps of the strip-shaped woven underlay-material at the overlap portion is n+1, wherein n≥2.
Film for laminating glass, method for manufacturing film for laminating glass, and vehicle comprising film for laminating glass
A film for laminating glass includes a polyvinyl acetal, a plasticizer, inorganic particles, and a trioxane-based compound.
Cross-linked thermoplastic polyvinylidene fluoride compositions
The invention relates to polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) copolymer compositions that have improved crosslinking efficiency and performance. The PVDF copolymer contains a high level (>14 and preferably greater than 16 wt %) of a fluorinated comonomer, and has a high molecular weight as measured by the melt viscosity at 230° C. and 100 sec−1 of 18 to 40 kpoise. The composition can be effectively cross-linked with a low level radiation (high cross-linking efficiency). The cross-linked composition is useful in high-temperature applications, such as automotive wire and cable, and heat shrink tubing.
Base paper for paper tube, and paper tube
An object is to provide a base paper for paper tubes that has lower environmental impact and is used for manufacturing of paper tubes offering excellent water resistance. As a solution, a base paper for paper tubes is provided, wherein: it has two or more but no more than five paper layers; the paper layers are bonded by a water-soluble or water-dispersible adhesive; and its elution rate is 2.0 percent or lower.
