Membranes and methods for producing them are disclosed. The membranes comprise a core layer comprising a composite of alternating thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and barrier microlayers, and they comprise at least one cap layer that is bonded to the core layer or a structural layer. In some embodiments, at least the cap layer comprises a polydiene polyol-based TPU. The membrane may further comprise a rubber layer bonded to the cap layer.
BINDING TAPE, BINDING METHOD, TAPE WINDING BODY AND REEL
A binding tape (10) includes an intermediate layer (11), and a first surface layer (16) covering one surface of the intermediate layer (11). The intermediate layer (11) has a plurality of first linear members (12) arranged side by side at an angle with respect to a longitudinal direction (D1) of the binding tape (10).
DEGRADABLE COMPOSITE NON-WOVEN FABRIC AND FABRICATION METHOD THEREFOR
A degradable composite non-woven fabric being a layered structure with an upper surface layer, an intermediate fiber layer, and a lower surface layer in sequence. The upper and lower surface layers are mainly composed of degradable melt-blown fibers. The intermediate fiber layer is mainly composed of degradable water-absorbing fibers, wherein the weight of fibers of the intermediate layer accounts for more than 65% of the total weight of the composite non-woven fabric, and there are fiber interwoven regions between the upper surface layer and the intermediate fiber layer, as well as between the lower surface layer and the intermediate fiber layer.
Laminated glass articles with phase-separated claddings and methods for forming the same
Laminated glass articles and methods for making the same are disclosed. In one embodiment, a laminated glass article may include a glass core layer and at least one glass cladding layer fused to the glass core layer. The at least one glass cladding layer may be phase separated into a first phase and at least one second phase having different compositions. The first phase of the at least one glass cladding layer may have an interconnected matrix. The at least one second phase of the at least one glass cladding layer may be dispersed throughout the interconnected matrix of the first phase of the at least one glass cladding layer. In some embodiments, the at least one second phase may be selectively removed from the interconnected matrix leaving a porous, interconnected matrix of the first phase.
SINGLE- OR MULTILAYER FILM COMPRISING BONDED POLYVINYL ALCOHOL
A single- or multilayer film is disclosed, the film made on the basis of a blend of (co)polyamide and polyvinyl alcohol, soluble in at least one solvent A, comprising more than 50% water, at that said film comprising polyvinyl alcoholPVAs, soluble in the same solvent A, and bonded polyvinyl alcoholPVAB, which (i) is virtually insoluble in the same solvent A at temperatures from 18 C. to the initial boiling point at normal pressure, (ii) is soluble in at least one of the solvents, capable of dissolving (co)polyamide, (iii) gives the typical for PVA color reaction with iodine, and (iv) reacts with at least one primary amine, with formation of water-soluble PVA, wherein the CB/CS ratio, where CB is the film content for PVAB, that becomes water-soluble after its treatment with said primary amine, and Cs is the content of PVAs in the film, is not less than 0.05. When this condition is satisfied, there is noticeable improvement in the stability of the technological process of production, and in the mechanical strength of the film. The claimed film can be used, specifically, for sausage casings. 2 independent and 30 dependent claims, 6 tables.
Multilayer film having a soluble tie layer and method for dissipating
A multilayer film having a soluble tie layer and method for dissipating the soluble tie layer from the multilayer film is disclosed. The multilayer film having a first outer layer; a first soluble tie layer comprising at least 10 wt %, at least 40 wt %, or at least 50 wt % of a neutralized ethylene acrylic acid copolymer. The soluble tie layer dissipates from the multilayer film when placed in a caustic solution.
BIODEGRADABLE MULTI-LAYER FILM
A multi-layer polymer film comprising at least one middle layer A, the polymeric constituents of which are soluble in aqueous solution, and in each case at least one substantially water-impermeable covering layer B, C arranged above and below the at least one middle layer A, wherein the layers A, B and C independently of each other in each case comprise at least one thermoplastic polymer and at least one of the covering layers B and C comprises at least one polyhydroxyalkanoate is presented and described. Processes for the production of the multi-layer polymer film according to the invention and its use for the production of molded parts, films or bags are furthermore presented and described.
DECORATIVE MULTI-LAYER SURFACE COVERING COMPRISING POLYVINYL BUTYRAL
The present invention is related to decorative multi-layer surface coverings comprising a core layer, wherein said core layer comprises a polymer blend, said polymer blend comprising polyvinyl butyral and polylactic acid.
THERMAL INSULATION LINERS
Provided herein are products, methods, and kits, for use in regulating the temperature of an object. The present invention relates to thermal insulating liners for regulating the temperature of perishable goods or temperature sensitive products. The thermal insulating liners generally may be dimensioned to fit within a container. The thermal insulating liners may be quickly collapsed and reconstructed to improve stackability and diminish the amount of space required to store the thermal insulating liners prior to use.
FIREPROOF COMPOSITE PANEL AND FIREPROOF STRUCTURE
