An absorbent paper laminate, having an absorbent paper layer, a nonabsorbent high-density paper layer and an adhesive applied in a layer between the absorbent and nonabsorbent layers forming a laminate. The laminate has a surface which is provided with an array of perforations formed by needle punctures, or a series of slits sized to allow steam to pass therethrough while retaining grease and oil in the absorbent paper layer. The preferred adhesive layer is selectively in a cellular pattern. A paper board food container can be formed having an absorbent paper laminate body defining a cavity for receiving a food item and absorb grease and oil. Optionally an exterior surface of the container is sized to be held in the hands of a user having an exterior surface with a second absorbent layer that can act as a napkin absorbing grease and oil from the hands of the user.

The invention relates to a thermally insulated conduit pipe, comprising at least one medium pipe, at least one thermal insulation arranged around the medium pipe, and at least one outer jacket arranged around the thermal insulation, wherein the outer jacket possibly comprises a barrier made of plastic, and wherein the thermal insulation comprises a foam, the cell gas of which contains at least 10 vol % HFOs. Such conduit pipe has good insulating behavior, good environmental balance, and is easily producible.

Described herein is a multilayer microporous film or membrane that may exhibit improved properties, including improved dielectric break down and strength, compared to prior monolayer or tri-layer microporous membranes of the same thickness. The preferred multilayer microporous membrane comprises microlayers and one or more lamination barriers. Also disclosed is a battery separator or battery comprising one or more of the multilayer microporous films or membranes. The inventive battery and battery separator is preferably safer and more robust than batteries and battery separators using prior monolayer and tri-layer microporous membranes. Also, described herein is a method for making the multilayer microporous separators, membranes or films described herein.
