DRAWABLE ADHESIVE TAPE AND DRAWABLE ADHESIVE TAPE PRODUCT
A drawable adhesive tape and a drawable adhesive tape product. The drawable adhesive tape includes: a base framework extending along length direction of the drawable adhesive tape and having a plurality of adhesive-accommodating regions which extend along both thickness direction of the drawable adhesive tape toward interior of the base framework and length direction of the drawable adhesive tape and which are arranged at intervals along width direction of the drawable adhesive tape, and an adhesive layer filled in the adhesive-accommodating regions. The drawable adhesive tape product includes a release paper and the drawable adhesive tape, in which, a surface of the drawable adhesive tape where the adhesive-accommodating regions are located is covered by an oily surface of the release paper. The drawable adhesive tape and drawable adhesive tape product have improved tensile strength and improved adhesion strength.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE AND COMPONENTS THEREOF HAVING IMPROVED SOFTNESS SIGNALS, AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING
An absorbent article having improved softness signals is disclosed. The article may include a topsheet or a backsheet including a nonwoven web. The web may have a basis weight of 30 gsm or less, may be formed of spunlaid fibers including polyolefin and up to 5 percent by weight TiO.sub.2, and may be impressed with a pattern of bond impressions to a bond area percentage of at least 10 percent forming a pattern of bonded regions and raised regions. The web may have opacity of 42 or greater; have an average height difference between bonded regions and raised regions of at least 280 μm; be hydroengorged; and/or have a cross-machine direction tensile strength of 350 gf/cm. A nonwoven web manufactured to have a suitable combination of such features exhibits an enhanced appearance of softness, soft tactile feel and satisfactory mechanical attributes, while being relatively cost effective.
SELF-SEALING FASTENERS, BUILDING PANELS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
Self-sealing fasteners and associated building panels, systems, and methods are provided. In one aspect, a fastener includes an elongated fastener body with an external surface extending between the first end and the second end, and a coating material disposed on at least a portion the external surface. In another aspect, a fastener includes an elongated fastener body with an external surface extending between the first end and the second end, and a polymer annulus surrounding at least a portion of the external surface of the of the elongated fastener body at or adjacent the head of the fastener.
PEEL AND PLACE DRESSING FOR NEGATIVE-PRESSURE THERAPY
A dressing for treating a tissue site with negative pressure may comprise a cover having an adhesive, a manifold, a perforated polymer film, and a perforated silicone gel having a treatment aperture. The cover, the manifold, the perforated polymer film, and the perforated silicone gel may be assembled in a stacked relationship with the cover and the perforated silicone gel enclosing the manifold. The perforated polymer film may be at least partially exposed through the treatment aperture, and at least some of the adhesive may be exposed through the perforated silicone around the treatment aperture.
Thermally Insulative Expanded Polytetrafluoroethylene Article
The present invention is directed to a thermally insulative material comprising PTFE, including an expanded PTFE (ePTFE), having a thermal conductivity of less than or equal to 25 mW/m K at atmospheric conditions. In one embodiment, the insulative material of the present invention includes aerogel particles and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). The insulative material may be formed into articles that are hydrophobic, highly breathable, possess high strength, and which may be used in non-static applications such as dynamic flexing and the like. The insulative articles are flexible, stretchable, and bendable. Also, the insulative material has little to no shedding or dusting of fine particles. Aerogel particles having a particle density of less than about 100 kg/m.sup.3 and a thermal conductivity of less than or equal to about 15 mW/m K at atmospheric conditions (about 298.5 K and 101.3 kPa) may be used in the insulative material.
UV And High Energy Visible Absorbing Ophthalmic Lenses
An ophthalmic lens operable to protect the eye from harmful ultraviolet and high energy visible wavelengths of light and methods for producing the same.
Insulation blanket having a deposited passivator for industrial insulation applications
A passivating flexible insulation blanket positionable about a pipe includes an insulation core, an enclosing fabric, and a non-consumable passivator. The insulation core is substantially hydrophobic and includes a microporous material. The enclosing fabric fully encapsulates the insulation core to form a capsule or pouch about the insulation core. The non-consumable passivator is non-consumable such that there is no appreciable change to a mass of the non-consumable passivator after an extended time of activation. The non-consumable passivator is deposited into the insulation core and has a composition soluble in water. The non-consumable passivator includes a leachable component that leaches from the insulation core and is capable of neutralizing acidic components. The leachable component is water soluble and is capable of reacting with a surface of the pipe to form a protective coating on the pipe to aid in inhibiting corrosion formation on the surface of the pipe.
Self-Cleanable Transparent Conductive Surface/Film
A self-cleaning transparent conductive surface includes a hydrophobic film and a metal nano-web coupled to the hydrophobic film. The metal nano-web imparts conductive properties to the surface of the film and texturing formed by either the hydrophobic film, substrate or metal nano-web create a super-hydrophobic surface. This super-hydrophobic and conductive surface may be created by etching and layering a metal nano-web over the surface of a hydrophobic film or a rigid substrate, the metal grid may the hydrophobic film or substrate may also be etched in a moth's eye pattern. Both the hydrophobic film or substrate and metal nano-web may be coated in a layer of hydrophobic material to further increase the hydrophobic effect.
