Panel for sheathing system and method

The panel includes a water resistant barrier layer secured atop its outward facing surface. The water resistant barrier layer includes a skid resistant surface. The panels are made of lignocellulosic material. The water resistant and skid resistant surface may include indicia for aligning strips of tape or for aligning fasteners. A method for manufacturing the water resistant building panels is also disclosed and includes the steps of feeding paper onto a forming belt, depositing lignocellulosic material and the binding agent onto the forming belt so as to form a lignocellulosic mat, applying heat and pressure so as to impart the skid resistant surface on the paper, and cutting panels to predetermined sizes.

Curative

A curative for epoxidized plant-based oils and epoxidized natural rubber is created from the reaction between a naturally occurring polyfunctional acid and an epoxidized plant-based oil is disclosed. The curative may be used to produce at least one of six different materials, wherein each type of material may be configured as a thermosetting elastomer that is crosslinked with ß-hydroxyester linkages. The materials may be configured as a leather-like material, a foam material, a molded elastomer, a coating, an adhesive, and/or a rigid or semi-rigid material. Illustrative articles made from any combination of the six materials may be recycled using a mechano-chemical process to de-crosslink the thermosetting elastomer.

WIPES HAVING HIGH SUSTAINABLE CONTENT

A method of preparing a cleaning wipe having a high sustainable polymer content is provided. The cleaning wipe includes a fibrous layer having fibers of a melt spinnable sustainable polymer; and an abrasive layer having meltblown fibers of a melt spinnable sustainable polymer. The abrasive layer defining an outer surface of the cleaning wipe, and includes a plurality of abrasive structures formed thereon in which the abrasive structures are formed from conglomerated fibers, meltblown shot, fibers having average diameters greater than 4 micrometers and fibers having a tortuous geometry. The melt spinnable sustainable polymer content of the cleaning wipe is at least 50 weight % by weight of the cleaning wipe. A method of preparing the cleaning wipe is also provided.

INTERMEDIATE TRANSFER MEMBER

An intermediate transfer member (ITM) for use with a printing system, the ITM having (a) a support layer; and (b) a release layer having an ink reception surface and a second surface opposing the ink reception surface, the second surface attached to the support layer, the release layer formed of an addition-cured, hydrophobic silicone material, wherein the release surface of the release layer has relatively hydrophilic properties with respect to the addition-cured, hydrophobic silicone material.

A patient interface device and cushion for the device are respectively disclosed, for preferred CPAP and BiPAP breathing masks. The cushion has a composite structure with an open rounded polygonal profile defining a mask side layer and a slip-resistant fibrous patient side layer, with an intermediate barrier layer positioned between the first and second layers. The layers are integrally bonded together into a three-dimensional conformation defining a J-shaped cross section and an inboard patient side curl opening into an air chamber juxtaposed with one or more of the patient's airways. The body exhibits flexibility between about 4 and about 10 Taber Stiffness Units. Method and apparatus for making the cushion are further described.

High-slip stretch film

A multi-layer stretch wrap film has three or more layers, including at least one outer non-cling layer, at least one inner core layer, and at least one outer cling layer, where the film displays enhanced non-cling properties after being stretched.

Stretch Film Incorporating a Slip Skin Layer

A stretch film incorporating a cling layer and a slip skin layer is provided, the cling layer comprising a 25% to 75% ethylene-based elastomer blend in a metallocene linear low density polyethylene and the slip skin layer comprising an ultra-high molecular weight polysiloxane polymer of between 5% and 10% by weight.

A plank has a first portion with at least three layers. The first layer is of a plant material, and has an inner surface that includes a nonwoven fabric or a fiberglass mesh. The second layer is of an adhesive paper material that includes a macromolecular glue where the macromolecular glue is 50-55% melamine, 35-40% plasticizer, and 3-5% formaldehyde. The third layer is one of bamboo, wood, or paper. The plank has a second portion, which may be of a plastic composite base material or a magnesium oxide composite base material. When the second portion is of a plastic composite material, the first portion is fused to the second portion by cold pressing or a polyurethane reactive adhesive. When the second material is of a magnesium oxide composite base material, the first portion is thermally pressed to the second portion by cold pressing, hot pressing or a polyurethane reactive adhesive.
