Biaxially oriented polyester film for metal lamination
The invention relates to a multilayer biaxially oriented polyester film comprising a base layer B, an amorphous outer layer A and a further outer layer C, where this polyester film is suitable for lamination with metal sheets. The invention in particular relates to a polyester film which comprises (based on the mass of polyester) from 2 to 15% by weight of isophthalate-derived units in the base layer and which comprises more than 19% by weight of isophthalate-derived units in the amorphous layer A, and which has a silane-based coating on the outer layer A. The invention further relates to a process for the production of these films.
Metal-carbon fiber reinforced resin material composite
This metal-carbon fiber reinforced resin material composite includes a metal member, a coating layer that is disposed on at least a part of a surface of the metal member and contains a resin, a carbon fiber reinforced resin material layer that is disposed on at least a part of a surface of the coating layer and contains a matrix resin and a carbon fiber material that is present in the matrix resin, and an electrodeposition film disposed so as to cover at least all of surfaces of the carbon fiber reinforced resin material layer, an interface between the metal member and the coating layer, and an interface between the coating layer and the carbon fiber reinforced resin material layer, in which an average film thickness A of the electrodeposition film formed on the surface of the carbon fiber reinforced resin material layer is 0.3 to 1.4 μm, and, at the time of immersing the metal-carbon fiber reinforced resin material composite in a 5 mass % sodium chloride aqueous solution with the electrodeposition film removed, an alternating impedance at a frequency of 1 Hz is 1×10.sup.7Ω to 1×10.sup.9Ω.
INSULATION ARTICLES INCLUDING CORROSION INHIBITORS AND METHODS OF PRODUCING THE SAME
Unique insulation articles including corrosion inhibitors and methods of producing the same are disclosed. One exemplary embodiment is an article of manufacture comprising an insulation mat comprising a cured combination of a plurality of randomly oriented fibers and a binder, the insulation mat extending between a first surface and a second surface, a veil attached to the first surface, the veil structured to inhibit physical movement of the cured combination through the veil, a metal sheet attached to the second surface by a water-containing adhesive contacting the metal sheet and the second surface, and a corrosion inhibitor composition deposited on the cured combination of the insulation mat, the corrosion inhibitor composition being effective to modify toward neutral a pH of the cured combination in contact with water from the water-containing adhesive.
INTER-PENETRATING ELASTOMER NETWORK DERIVED FROM GROUND TIRE RUBBER PARTICLES
Crumb rubber obtained from recycled tires is subjected to an interlinked substitution process. The process utilizes a reactive component that interferes with sulfur bonds. The resulting treated rubber exhibits properties similar to those of the virgin composite rubber structure prior to being granulated, and is suitable for use in fabricating new tires, engineered rubber articles, and asphalt rubber for use in waterproofing and paving applications.
Soil Reinforcement Membrane and Related Systems and Methods
A soil reinforcement membrane that promotes grass, plant, and vegetation growth in a variety of temperatures and geographic locations and increases water retention. The soil reinforcement membrane is flexible enough to be placed on a variety of landscapes and promotes growth in a variety of soils. The soil reinforcement membrane consists of an upper layer and a lower layer with a cultivating compound dispersed uniformly between the two layers.
POLYVINYL ACETAL RESIN FILM, AND LAMINATE COMPRISING SAME
The present invention relates to a polyvinyl acetal resin film, comprising a polyvinyl acetal resin material, wherein at least one surface has a relative diffuse reflectance of 3% or higher at a wavelength of 550 nm, an absolute difference between the relative diffuse reflectance of one surface at a wavelength of 550 nm and that of the other surface at a wavelength of 550 nm is 0.5% or larger, and the amount of a plasticizer in the polyvinyl acetal resin film is 0 to 20% by mass based on a total mass of the polyvinyl acetal resin film.
Smoothly bendable board
A smoothly bendable board including a middle layer, a first outer layer attached to the middle layer and a second outer layer attached to the middle layer is disclosed. The second outer layer has a lower bending stiffness according to ISO 5628 than the first outer layer such that the smoothly bendable board is outwardly bendable only in a direction towards which the second layer faces. A method for producing a smoothly bendable board is also disclosed.
BATTERY PACKAGING MATERIAL
Battery packaging material wherein a sheet-like laminated body is formed by sequentially stacking at least a base layer, metal layer, and sealant layer, the battery packaging material being equipped with substantially rectangular space that is formed to protrude from the sealant layer side toward the base layer side, and accommodates a battery element on the sealant layer side. In planar view from the base layer side view, a first and second curved sections are provided from the center portion toward the battery packaging material end parts, in a cross section in the thickness direction on a line connecting opposing corner parts protruding in a substantially rectangular shape. The thickness (a) of the metal layer at the first curved section, (c) of the metal layer at the second curved section, and (b) of the metal layer at the section located between the first and second curved sections, satisfy the following relationship a≧b>c or a≧c>b.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A LIGHTWEIGHT LAMINATE
A method of producing a laminated article comprising placing a first metal skin, a core, and a second metal skin freely onto each other as discreet layers to provide a layered component; and forming the layered component into a shaped article via a die prior to producing a laminated article by applying pressure and heat to the shaped article, wherein at least the first skin moves relative to the core and/or second skin during the forming.
Insulated radiant barriers in apparel
Fabrics made for apparel, tents, sleeping bags and the like, in various composites, constructed such that a combination of substrate layers and insulation layers is configured to provide improved thermal insulation. The fabric composites are constructed to form a radiant barrier against heat loss via radiation and via conduction from a body.
