PROTECTIVE COMPOSITE FABRICS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE AND USE
A composite fabric includes a film, a first fibrous layer, a fabric layer, and a second fibrous layer and one or more retaining members. The film has a first side and a second side. The first fibrous layer has a first side connected to the second side of the film and a second side. The fabric layer has a first side connected to the second side of the first fibrous layer and a second side. The second fibrous layer has a first side connected to the second side of the fabric layer and a second side. The film can be a non-heat shrinking film. The retaining members may be configured to contact a surface on which the composite fabric is placed and resist movement of the composite fabric relative to the surface where the retaining members include a corrosion inhibitor.
TUBULAR FOR DOWNHOLE USE
A tubular for downhole use, the tubular including a pipe, an insulation layer surrounding the pipe, and a protective layer around the insulation layer and comprising a polymer. The protective layer can also include a compression layer adjacent to the insulation layer. There may be reinforcement material in the protective layer, for example encapsulated by the elastomer. The tubular may have bare portions at the ends for manipulation of the tubulars to form a tubing string. A sleeve may be provided using the same layer structure to insulate the bare portions which form joints of the tubing string. The sleeve can also include a base layer.
Polymer coating composition for metal substrate and use thereof
A polymer film for laminating onto a metal substrate (M), the polymer film including an adhesion layer (A) and a bulk layer (B), wherein the adhesion layer is intended for bonding to the metal substrate and includes 20 to 50 wt. % of a non-crystallisable copolyester, 50 to 80 wt. % of polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) and 0-10 wt. % of polymers and additives, and wherein the bulk layer consists of is at least 91 wt. % of PBT and at most 9% of other polymers and additives.
GAS-CONTAINING SURFACE COVER, ARRANGEMENT, AND USE
The present invention relates to a surface cover for a body which can be brought into contact with a liquid, comprising: a layer which at least partly contains gas and which is designed and arranged such that at least some sections of a layer face facing the liquid contacts the liquid; a gas-permeable layer which is arranged on the gas-containing layer on a face that faces the body and is opposite the face facing the liquid or which is integrally formed with the gas-containing layer; and a gas-supplying device which is connected to the gas-permeable layer such that gas can flow from the gas-supplying device to the gas-containing layer through the gas-permeable layer. The invention also relates to an arrangement and a use.
Method for applying a polymeric film to a substrate and resulting articles
A polymeric film or laminate comprising the same is applied to at least a portion of a surface of an underlying article to provide, for example, desired surface characteristics. To assist in such application, a polymerizable composition is coated onto at least one of the surface of the polymeric film or the laminate and the surface of the article. The polymerizable composition is then polymerized with the polymeric film or laminate positioned thereover to form a sufficiently polymerized interlayer between the polymeric film or laminate and the underlying surface in resulting articles. Ease of removal and/or repair of polymeric film and laminates comprising the polymeric film that are so applied is facilitated.
PACKAGING MATERIAL FOR BATTERIES
Provided is a packaging material for batteries, which has excellent insulating properties. A packaging material for batteries, which is formed of a laminate that is obtained by sequentially laminating at least a base layer, a bonding layer, a metal layer and a sealant layer, and wherein the base layer comprises a resin layer A that is formed of a thermoplastic resin having a volume resistivity of 1×10.sup.15 Ω.Math.cm or more.
Thin and Texturized Films Having Fully Uniform Coverage of a Non-Smooth Surface Derived From an Additive Overlaying Process
This invention relates to a thin and texturized film that can be applied onto a non-smooth surface to improve hardness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance properties of the surface while maintaining the underlying profile of the non-smooth surface. An additive overlaying process can be employed to produce the thin and texturized film on the non-smooth surfaces without substantial alteration or degradation of the underlying surface texture or profile of the non-smooth surfaces so as to sufficiently preserve the underlying surface texture or profile. The thin and texturized film fully covers the non-smooth in a uniform manner and maintains the surface profile.
Curable polymeric coatings for functional surface preparations
The present invention is directed to a curable polymer comprising: a base acrylic monomer (monomer A); a monomer with bioactive functionality (monomer B); a monomer containing a cross-linker (monomer C). The present invention also relates to a method of making a polymer coating on a solid support. The present invention also relates to a method of preserving a product.
METAL SURFACE TREATMENT
The instant invention concerns the use of at least one polymer P obtained by radical copolymerization of a mixture of (i) acrylic acid; (ii) methacrylic acid; and (iii) at least one monomer of formula: for treating a metallic surface intended to be coated by a paint, a varnish or an adhesive, for example intended to be adhesive-bonded to another surface, in order to impart a resistance to the adhesive failure to the resulting bonding.

Electromagnetically shielded wallpaper
The electromagnetic shielding of an enclosable building structure is provided by applying a shielding wallcovering to at least a portion of building structure. The shielding wall covering is wallpaper comprising a metal-coated substrate core and resin. To connect the shielded wallpaper to the building structure a layer of the resin or an adhesive layer may be used.
