Glass and polymer film assemblies and methods of making
A glass and polymer film assembly including a glass film and a polymer film bonded to a surface of the glass film. The polymer film is directly bonded to the glass film by applying the polymer to the glass film when the glass film is above a bonding temperature of the polymer film. The glass film may have a thickness less than about 1 mm and the polymer film may be an oriented semicrystalline homopolymer which is permanently bonded to a major surface of the glass film.
Coated abrasive article with foam backing and method of making
A polyurethane foam backing suitable for making a coated abrasive article is disclosed. The polyurethane foam backing has a textured surface bearing an array of raised features and land areas. The array's geometry is designed such that a 90 degree peel force to remove a production tooling having a contacting surface bearing a plurality of microreplicated mold cavities from the textured surface is accept able.
COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF THE SAME
A composite material is described. The composite material comprises a first cover sheet, a second cover sheet, and a core layer arranged between the first cover sheet and the second cover sheet, said core layer comprising a first adhesive layer in contact with the first cover sheet, a second adhesive layer in contact with the second cover sheet, and fibres which extend from the first adhesive layer to the second adhesive layer. The first cover sheet has a larger extension than the core layer and comprises at least a first edge region which is free from the core layer, wherein the first edge region extends from the outer edge of the first cover sheet to the core layer.
Magnetic shielding tape for cable and method for manufacturing thereof
The present disclosure relates to a magnetic shielding tape, which is capable of shielding a high-to-low frequency of a signal transmitted through a cable in shielding of a magnetic field which flows in such a cable or is emitted therefrom, and a method for manufacturing the same. The basic magnetic shielding tape comprises: a thin film magnetic layer including at least one metal ribbon sheet which is divided into a plurality of fine pieces by flaking process, and a gap provided between adjacent fine pieces among the plurality of fine pieces; a cover film layer adhered to one side surface of the thin film magnetic layer through a first adhesive layer; anda conductive layer adhered to the other side surface of the thin film magnetic layer through a second adhesive layer, wherein a size of the gap is determined according to a frequency band of the signal.
Underlayment with thermal insulation
An underlayment that meets underlayment requirements and provides thermal insulation is disclosed. The underlayment includes a core material and an upper emittance layer having an exterior surface. An upper reinforcement layer is positioned between the upper emittance layer and the core material. A first encapsulation layer is positioned between the upper emittance layer and the upper reinforcement layer. A second encapsulation layer is positioned between the upper reinforcement layer and the core material. The underlayment includes a lower emittance layer having an exterior surface. A lower reinforcement layer is positioned between the lower emittance layer and the core material. A third encapsulation layer is positioned between the lower emittance layer and the lower reinforcement layer. A fourth encapsulation layer is positioned between the lower reinforcement layer and the core material.
Product piercing tag
A tag is configured to be inserted into a product. The tag includes a label portion and an insertion portion. The label portion has a first width. The insertion portion extends from the label portion, has a second width that is less than the first width, and has a length. An elongated wire extends along the length of the insertion portion to at least a part of the label portion. The tag has sufficient rigidity to enable a user to hold the label portion and force the insertion portion into the product. In another aspect, a method of attaching a tag to a product is described. The method includes holding the label portion and forcing the insertion portion into the product.
Modular system for fabricating a laminate
A lamination system is contemplated. The system may have a modular design configured to fabricate a laminate from an incoming material. The system may be configured to produce the laminate with an outer layer comprising the incoming material such that the resulting layer has a width greater than a width of the incoming material prior to lamination.
Airlaid composite sheet material and method
Provided is a composite sheet that is particularly useful as an AQDL component in absorbent articles. The composite sheet includes a fluid acquisition component and an airlaid component. The airlaid component may include one or more airlaid layers that are successively formed overlying each other. Each of the airlaid layers are adjacent to, and in direct contact with, immediately adjacent layers of the airlaid component so that adjacent layers are in fluid communication with respect to each other. The fluid acquisition component includes a nonwoven fabric comprising a carded nonwoven fabric comprised of a plurality of staple fibers that are air through bonded to each other to form a coherent nonwoven fabric. The airlaid layer(s) include a blend of cellulose and non-cellulose staple fibers. The staple fibers may be bicomponent fibers having a polyethyelene sheath and a polypropylene or polyethylene terephthalate core, and mixtures of such fibers.
Laminated foam product and methods for making laminated foam products
Thermally laminated foam boards, methods for making thermally laminated foam boards, apparatus for making thermally laminated foam boards, smaller foam pieces made from thermally laminated foam boards, methods for making smaller foam pieces from thermally laminated foam boards, parts made from thermally laminated foam boards, methods for making parts from thermally laminated foam boards, and tools for making parts from thermally laminated foam boards are disclosed. The thermally laminated foam boards are made by thermally bonding at least two polystyrene boards together.
CONSTRUCTION SHEATHING AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING SAME
