Prepreg, printed circuit board, semiconductor package, and method for producing printed circuit board
Provided are a prepreg including two or more fiber substrate layers and one or more resin composition layers, in which at least one of the one or more resin composition layers has a fiber substrate layer on each of both surfaces thereof, a printed circuit board using the prepreg and a method of producing the printed circuit board, and a semiconductor package.
PANEL FOR FORMING A FLOOR COVERING
A panel including at least a substrate of thermoplastic material and a top layer with a printed decor and a translucent or transparent wear layer. The substrate has a thickness larger than one half of the thickness of the entire panel, and the substrate at least includes two layers, where the two layers each include thermoplastic material. A first one of the two layers further includes at least 60 percent by weight of filler materials and a second one of the two layers includes less fillers or is not filled, and is situated above the first one of the two layers.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING POLYURETHANE SANDWICH MOLDED PARTS
Described herein is a process for producing polyurethane sandwich moldings including at least one core layer and at least one reinforcing fiber layer, where (i) at least one reinforcing fiber layer is applied onto a core layer and a moisture-curing polyurethane adhesive is applied to a reinforcing fiber layer, (ii) the part from (i) is placed into a mold and pressed in the mold and the moisture-curing polyurethane adhesive is cured, and (iii) the molding from (ii) is removed from the mold and optionally subjected to further operations, where the moisture-curing polyurethane adhesive is applied before or after application of the reinforcing fiber layer onto the at least one core layer and for the curing the moisture-curing polyurethane adhesive is brought into contact with water or with a solution comprising water. Also described herein are a polyurethane sandwich molding obtainable by such a process and a method of using a polyurethane sandwich molding in vehicles.
Panel and method for manufacturing panels
The present invention relates to a panel and method for manufacturing panels for wall or floor coverings, comprising two or more thermoplastic layers including at least one thermoplastic substrate layer and at least one top layer comprising at least a decor layer, a print layer and a transparent wear layer, and wherein both said thermoplastic substrate layer and said top layer are provided with a reinforcement layer, wherein said transparent wear layer is provided with a relief.
Methods for combining components of varying stages of cure
The present disclosure relates to a method of fabricating a composite structure using a pre-cured composite stiffener and a dry fabric component. In one example, the method includes the steps of: wrapping an adhesive film and a resin film around an edge of said pre-cured composite stiffener; inserting the edge of said pre-cured composite stiffener into a clevis of a dry fabric component to form a composite structure assembly; securing the pre-cured composite stiffener substantially perpendicularly to the base portion of the dry fabric component; and starting a consolidated infusion and cure process. The consolidated infusion and cure process applies a first temperature to the composite structure assembly for a first predetermined period of time to infuse the dry fabric component, and the increases the first temperature to a second temperature for a second predetermined period of time to cure the composite structure assembly.
Panel for forming a floor covering
A panel including at least a substrate of thermoplastic material and a top layer with a printed decor and a translucent or transparent wear layer. The substrate includes three layers, including a lowermost layer, a central layer and an uppermost layer, all made from thermoplastic material, where the thermoplastic material of the central layer is more rigid than the thermoplastic material of the lower most layer and the uppermost layer.
Bonding of composite materials
Peel ply for surface preparation and a method of surface preparation prior to adhesive bonding. A resin-rich peel ply is applied onto a curable, resin-based composite substrate, followed by co-curing. After co-curing, the composite substrate is fully cured but the matrix resin in the peel ply remains partially cured. When the peel ply is removed, a roughened, bondable surface with chemically-active functional groups is revealed. The composite substrate with the chemically-active, bondable surface may be bonded to another composite substrate to form a covalently-bonded structure.
Manufacturing of decorative surfaces
A method for manufacturing decorative surfaces includes, in order, the steps of a) inkjet printing an image on a first thermoplastic foil by jetting and UV curing one or more pigmented free radical UV curable inkjet inks on the first thermoplastic foil; b) applying on the inkjet printed image a second thermoplastic foil carrying a layer containing a vinylchloride-vinylacetate-vinylalcohol copolymer with the layer facing the inkjet printed image on the first thermoplastic foil; and c) heat pressing the first and second thermoplastic foils into a decorative laminate; wherein at least one of the first and second thermoplastic foils is transparent, and the one or more pigmented free radical UV curable inkjet inks contain a polymerizable composition having: 30 to 90 wt % of one or more compounds with one ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable group; 10 to 70 wt % of one or more compounds with two ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable groups; and 0 to 10 wt % of one or more compounds with three or more ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable groups.
Reinforced cable tie strap and method of manufacture
A reinforced cable tie generally includes an elongate strap having a first end, a second end and an elongate planar strap body therebetween, a head having an upstanding central wall separating a first and a second elongate parallel passageway through the head for respective receipt of the first and second ends of said strap, a locking device supported in the head for retaining the first and second ends of the strap and a continuous reinforcement disposed in and extending substantially continuously along a path defining the strap. In a method for forming a cable tie, a continuous reinforcing strand is co-extruded within an elongate strap and a head is assembled to the strap.
PANEL FOR FORMING A FLOOR COVERING, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SUCH PANELS AND GRANULATE APPLIED HEREWITH
A panel for forming a floor covering, where this panel includes a substrate including at least a layer of thermoplastic material, where the panel, above the layer, comprises at least also a printed decor and a translucent or transparent wear layer. The layer also includes at least individual fibers having a length greater than 1 millimeter, where the individual fibers are loose and freely distributed within the layer of thermoplastic material.
