CONTAINER FOR PRODUCTS OF THE FOOD INDUSTRY
A container for products of the food industry. The container has a wall comprising: a paper-based layer; a barrier layer being an at least one-sided metallized polymer layer; and a lamination layer, bonding the paper-based layer and the barrier layer. The at least one-sided metallized polymer layer is preferably an at least one-sided metallized polyester layer, more preferably, an at least one-sided metallized polyethylene terephthalate (mPET) layer. The lamination layer has a grammage of at most 20 grams per square meter, gsm, preferably at most 15 gsm, more preferably at most 12 gsm, more preferably at most 10 gsm, more preferably at most 8 gsm, more preferably at most 6 gsm, more preferably at most 5 gsm, most preferably at most 4 gsm.
SUSTAINABLE WATER ACTIVATED ADHESIVE TAPE
A water activated tape and method of producing is provided, the tape comprising a repulpable material, a water-soluble material affixed to the repulpable material, and a water activated adhesive layer affixed to the water-soluble material.
REPULPABLE REINFORCED WATER-ACTIVATED TAPE
Repulpable water-activated tapes, in particular reinforced laminated, water-activated paper tapes and methods of making the same are disclosed. The repulpable water-activated tape includes an outermost paper layer having a top surface and a bottom surface, a reinforcement adjacent to the bottom surface of the outermost paper layer, an innermost paper layer having a top surface and a bottom surface, the top surface of the innermost paper later adjacent to the reinforcement, at least a portion of a starch-based laminating adhesive disposed about each of the outermost paper layer, reinforcement, and innermost paper layer, and a water-activated adhesive adjacent to the bottom surface of the innermost paper layer. A repulpable starch-based laminating adhesive and tape comprising same is also described.
MATERIAL, A NEW AND IMPROVED LAYERED OR LAMINATED MATERIAL, FORMWORK AND OR CONSTRUCTION ELEMENT
The invention relates to a method of making a paper product 10, 10.01 to 10.14, wherein the method includes the step of adding natural reinforcing material (31, 31.1, 51, 51.1, 61, 61.1, 71, 71.1) to one of: a) a layer of pulp as it exits or after it exits from a layer formation process or apparatus; or b) a tank 20, 20.1, 20.2 of pulp prior to it exiting from a layer formation process or apparatus; or c) a combination of a) and b). Additionally, the invention relates to paper products made by this process. The present invention also provides a multi-layered material 2.10, 2.10, 2.10.1, 2.100 to 2.1600, and 100 to 1900, and a layer treatment of a layer or layers of a multilayered material, and a multilayered material which has had such a layer or layers treated by such a layer treatment.
PACKAGING MATERIAL HAVING EXPANDABLE LAYERS
A packaging material, in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure, can include a first layer and a second layer. The first layer can be configurable to form an outer layer of a packaging enclosure. The second layer can be configurable to form an inner layer of the packaging enclosure. Each of the first layer and the second layer can be selectively movable from an unexpanded condition to an expanded condition. Furthermore, the first layer can include a plurality of undulations therein, and the plurality of undulations can be configured to flatten out when the first layer is moved to the expanded condition.
Embossed paper in combination with paper cushioning for shipping envelopes
According to some illustrative embodiments, a protective product is provided that includes: at least one expandable slit paper sheet, said at least on expandable slit paper being expanded between opposing ends of said slit paper; a first embossed paper sheet facing said expanded slit paper sheet and a second paper sheet facing an opposite side of said at least one expanded slit paper sheet, at least one of said first embossed paper sheet and said second paper sheet being fixed to said expanded slit paper sheet at the opposing ends of said expanded slit paper sheet and thereby maintaining said expanded paper in its expanded state, said first embossed paper sheet having a plurality of embossings that increase the rigidity of said embossed paper sheet, whereby inhibiting deformation of said embossed paper sheet that is fixed to said expanded slit sheet paper.
PAPER-BASED MULTILAYER PACKAGING FILMS
This disclosure relates to multilayer packaging films and methods of producing the same. The multilayer packaging films are paper-based and have a total composition comprising greater than or equal to 80%, by weight, of a paper component. The multilayer packaging films are easily recyclable by repulping yet retain high-performance packaging characteristics including maintaining permeability performance and controlling the rate of ripening of a living food product, such as a cheese product. For example, the cheese product may include, but is not limited to, a soft cheese and/or a respirable cheese.
Packaging material having expandable layers
A packaging material including one or more expandable layers that provide protection to contents of a packaging enclosure formed with the packaging material. The packaging material includes at least a first layer and a second layer bonded to one another. The first layer is pulled or extended in a first direction that is effective to cause the second layer to expand in a second direction. The second layer is a cut-patterned layer which increases in thickness and provides structural strength to the packaging material when expanded.
