Slipsheet, divider sheet and method for making the same
09919490 · 2018-03-20 · ·

The present disclosure provides a slipsheet and/or divider sheet and method for making the same, and method for moving and storing containers with use of the slipsheets or divider sheets. The sheets have an imprint or an embossing that provides a raised planar surface. The raised planar surface preferably comprises a plurality of ridges, crowns or crests, which are preferably arranged in a pattern throughout an upper surface of the sheet. To make the sheet, a die can be etched to have protuberances or bumps, and the die is preferably pressed into a sheet of pliable thermoplastic material. The sheet thus made has a plurality of indentation formed by the protuberances or bumps on the die, and the sheet has a planar outer surface comprising a plurality of ridges, crowns and crests between the indentations.

LIGHTWEIGHT LAMINATES AND PLATE-CARRIER VESTS AND OTHER ARTICLES OF MANUFACTURE THEREFROM

A lightweight laminate comprises: (a) a first outer layer; (b) at least one internal reinforcing layer; (c) optionally, one or more intervening film layers; and (d) a second outer layer, wherein the at least one internal reinforcing layer is disposed between first and second outer layers, and wherein the second outer layer is saturated, partially saturated and coated, or partially coated with a wet-out resin. Reinforcing layers can comprise unitape further comprising parallel monofilaments embedded in resin. An article of manufacture, such as MOLLE, a plate-carrier, or other military, law enforcement, or recreational apparel or gear comprises the light-weight laminate.

ENGINEERED WATERPROOF PLASTIC COMPOSITE FLOORING AND WALL COVERING PLANKS

Waterproof engineered floor and wall planks have a veneer layer bonded with a plastic composite core, and an underlayer, preferably an underlayer of cork.

Pressure-sensitive-adhesive release film for oriented HDPE

In one example embodiment, disclosed is a polyethylene film comprising a core layer comprising at least 85 wt. % high-density polyethylene. Further, the polyethylene film comprises a first tie layer on a first side of the core layer consisting essentially of: (i) at least about 50 wt. % high-density polyethylene; and (ii) from 5 wt. % through 40 wt. % of each of: (a) an olefin-block copolymer; and (b) low-density polyethylene polymer and/or ethylene-vinyl acetate polymer. Further still, the polyethylene film comprises a first skin layer on the first tie layer, wherein the first skin layer comprises a polyethylene-based polymer, silicone, and antiblock agent, wherein the polyethylene film is coextruded and oriented either monoaxially or biaxially. Yet further, the polyethylene film is adhered to face stock, which optionally excludes silicone.

Barrier film substrate, method of making same, and use thereof

A barrier film substrate includes a first layer including a polymer and a transition metal having chemical sequestering properties such that, upon exposure of the barrier film substrate to one or more chemical vapors, a reaction occurs between the transition metal and the one or more chemical vapors. A second layer is aligned with the first layer. The second layer includes a polymer having impeding properties such that, upon the exposure of the barrier film substrate to the one or more of the chemical vapors, the second layer substantially blocks passage of the one or more of the chemical vapors through the barrier film substrate. One or more additional layers is aligned with at least one of the first layer or the second layer to provide structural support for the first layer and the second layer.

ELASTIC LAMINATE AND ARTICLE CONTAINING SAME

Provided is a stretchable laminate that is excellent in oil resistance and is also excellent in blocking resistance. Also provided is an article including such stretchable laminate. The stretchable laminate of the present invention includes: an elastomer layer; and an olefin-based resin layer arranged on at least one side of the elastomer layer, in which when the stretchable laminate is bonded and fixed onto a glass plate in a state of being extended by 100%, and 0.5 mL of a baby oil (manufactured by Pigeon Corporation, Baby Oil Q, main component: caprylic/capric triglyceride) is dropped onto a surface of the stretchable laminate, the stretchable laminate is free of a hole 60 minutes after the dropping.
