Film for packaging
The present disclosure provides a film. In an embodiment, a multilayer film having at least three layers is provided. The multilayer film includes two skin layers, each skin layer composed of a blend of a low density polyethylene and an ethylene-based elastomer having a density less than 0.90 g/cc. The multilayer film also includes a core layer located between the skin layers. The core layer includes a propylene-based plastomer having a density less than 0.90 g/cc. The multilayer film has an onset end temperature from 90° C. to 110° C. and a heat seal strength at 120° C. from 1.5 N/cm to 2.5 N/cm.
Coextruded multilayer film
The invention discloses a heat sealable multilayer polyester based film that form hermetic and peelable seals onto polyester containers and their use in food packaging.
Laminated packaging material, packaging containers manufactured therefrom and a method for manufacturing the laminate material
The present invention relates to a laminated liquid food packaging material, comprising a bulk layer, and a barrier layer portion and a polymer layer structure for balancing package integrity vs openability of the package. The invention further relates to the method for manufacturing the laminated packaging material and to a packaging container for liquid food packaging, comprising the laminated packaging material.
Hand dishwashing cleaning article and a method of manually washing dishware
The invention relates to a hand dishwashing cleaning article having a hand dishwashing cleaning composition enclosed in a water permeable pouch. The cleaning composition has a first side and a second side and includes: (a) a surfactant system; (b) filaments; and (c) water. The pouch has a first substrate adjacent to the first side of the cleaning composition and a second substrate adjacent to the second side of the cleaning composition. The first substrate preferably includes a film, preferably a multiplanar film preferably having apertures. The second substrate includes a scrim of stretchable thermoplastic material laminated to an elastic polymeric film with openings for releasing the cleaning composition from the cleaning article.
METHOD OF MAKING CROSS-LINKED POLYETHYLENE TUBING
A cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) tubing having an aluminum welded tube as reinforcement and method of making PEX tubing disclose tubing having an inner PEX layer and an outer polyethylene layer with an intermediate aluminum tube enveloped by adhesive layers for joining the inner and outer polyethylene layers with the aluminum tube. Carbon black particles are included in the polyethylene material for increasing absorption and dispersion of UV and thermal energy.
SPOUT POUCH AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
The present disclosure includes a process for making a package having a spout. The process includes heating a sealing area of a spout to a temperature at or above a melting point of the spout material; heating two multilayer structures around a portion of their peripheries to adhere the peripheries of sealant layers and form a partially sealed package having an opening; inserting the heated spout into the opening; and pressing opposing surfaces of the two multilayer structures around the spout to close the opening around the spout. Each multilayer structure includes a multilayer film having the sealant layer having at least 40% by weight of an ethylene-based polymer having a melting point below 112 C; an external layer including an ethylene-based polymer; and at least one intermediate layer disposed between the sealant layer and the external layer having a melting point at least 15 C higher than the sealant layer.
DEGRADABLE EVOH HIGH-BARRIER COMPOSITE FILM
A degradable EVOH high-barrier composite film, characterized in that the materials of various layers in the composite film all obtain approximately-consistent biodegradability by introducing biomass, and the additive amount of the additive master batch in the materials of each layer is controlled within the range of 0.3-15% of the total mass of the materials of the corresponding layer; the hydrophilic activity of the hydrophilic groups in the additive master batch should be greater than or equal to that of the hydrophilic groups in the materials of each layer; by adding the additive master batch, the mole ratios of the hydrophilic groups to carbon atoms of the materials of various layers tend to be consistent, namely, the bioactivities tend to be consistent, so that the degradation rates of the materials of various layers in the composite film tend to be consistent. The present invention makes contribution to obtaining approximately-consistent bioactivities and approximately-consistent biodegradation rates by balancing the mole ratios of the hydrophilic groups to carbon atoms in the materials of various layers, and the appearance, the functions and the physical and mechanical properties of a product remain unchanged.
