Cooking Utensil And Method Of Making The Same
A method of making a cooking utensil and a cooking utensil made using the same are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a method of making a cooking utensil includes applying pressure and heat to a multilayer stack to form a laminate, the multilayer stack including a metal substrate, a mesh layer, a first polymer film, and an additional layer having an opening therein, wherein the mesh layer, the first polymer film, and the additional layer are arranged on the same side of the metal substrate, and wherein the opening is sized such that the opening would surround the mesh layer if the additional layer and the mesh layer were disposed in the same plane.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING INTERMEDIATE MATERIAL FOR COOKING DEVICE AND INTERMEDIATE MATERIAL FOR COOKING DEVICE PRODUCED ACCORDING TO SAID MANUFACTURING METHOD
A method for producing an intermediate material for a cooking device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: repeating a cycle of applying a dispersion of a fluororesin and an inorganic filler or a dispersion of a fluororesin alone to a supporter and firing the applied dispersion so as to form a multilayered fluororesin film, followed by exfoliating the multilayered fluororesin film from the supporter to acquire the multilayered fluororesin film beforehand; providing the pre-acquired fluororesin film on a metal-substrate; and thermally compressing the fluororesin film and the metal substrate. In addition, an organic compound-containing primer or adhesive is not used in the thermocompression step.
DECORATIVE GRILL DECAL AND METHOD OF USE
A decorative decal for altering the aesthetics of a barbeque grill, with the decal comprising a flexible and heat resistant substrate having a visually discernible aesthetic element on its first surface and a smooth non-porous second surface, with the second surface suitable for attaching the substrate to the outer surface of the barbeque grill by use of static cling; and a method of use of the decal.
Corrosion resistant bushing
A method of forming a corrosion resistant bushing includes bonding a sliding layer to a first surface of a load bearing substrate to form a laminate sheet and cutting a blank from the laminate sheet. The laminate sheet includes an exposed surface corresponding to a second surface of the load bearing substrate. The blank includes cut edges having a load bearing substrate portion. The method further includes forming a semi-finished bushing from the blank.
Fabric having a waterproof barrier
Provided herein are waterproof fabrics that include a base fabric having a body-facing surface and an outward-facing surface, and a hydrophobic, waterproof barrier disposed on the outward-facing surface of the base fabric, a seam through the waterproof fabric, and a waterproof tape disposed on an outward-facing surface of the hydrophobic, waterproof barrier and aligned to seal the seam against water ingress. The base fabric may be a wicking fabric or may be treated with a compound that enhances wicking, and the hydrophobic, waterproof barrier may include a plastic polymer, polyurethane, polyethylene, and/or polytetrafluoroethylene. The waterproof fabrics also may include an abrasion-resistant coating and/or a durable water repellant (DWR) agent disposed on an outward-facing surface of the hydrophobic, waterproof barrier, and one or both of the abrasion-resistant coating and/or DWR agent may be discontinuous. Also provided are methods of making a waterproof fabric.
Bearings and components thereof comprising a hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive and methods of their preparation
Methods of making bearings using pressure sensitive macromolecular adhesive polymers and pressure sensitive polymer compositions capable of integrating fluoropolymeric properties with a catecholamine functionality to form an adhesive system that allows bonding between metallic substrates and fluoropolymers are disclosed. Also disclosed are core-shell polymeric particles comprised of a core and a shell comprising a thermoplastic polydopamine polymer that may be prepared as a colloidal suspension and used as a hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive capable of binding low surface energy materials, such as polyolefins and fluoropolymers, to diverse materials including metals in making bearings and/or bearing components.
COx electrolyzer cell flow fields and gas diffusion layers
A method of forming a gas diffusion layer includes causing, at least in part, a stack of layers to be arranged between compressing surfaces of a press, the stack of layers including a plurality of gas diffusion layers. The method also includes causing, at least in part, the press to apply one or more compression cycles to the stack of layers to reduce a combined, uncompressed thickness of the plurality of gas diffusion layers between about 2% and about 30%.
Hydrophilized expanded PTFE and method of hydrophilizing expanded PTFE
A hydrophilized ePTFE sheet includes an ePTFE sheet, Japanese paper laminated on the surface of the ePTFE sheet processed with an atmospheric pressure plasma treatment, and a collagen layer applied to the surface of the Japanese paper.
TIE LAYER COMPOSITIONS AND MULTILAYER TUBES INCORPORATING THE SAME
Multilayer tubes including an inner layer and a tie layer are described. The inner layer includes a fluorinated polymer, and has an inner surface defining an inner diameter of the multilayer tube and an outer surface separated from the inner surface by a thickness of the inner layer. The tie layer includes a functionalized styrene block copolymer and is disposed on the outer surface of the inner layer. When the multilayer tube further includes an outer layer, the multilayer tubes exhibit improved peel strength as compared to multilayer tubes including the inner layer and outer layer alone. Methods of manufacturing the multilayer tubes and articles comprising the multilayer tubes are also described.
