The present disclosure provides a transparent elastic composite film, which includes a first film layer; a thermoplastic polyurethane layer; and a second film layer; wherein the first film layer and the second film layer have a crosslinked network structure; the first film layer includes acrylic resin and aliphatic polyisocyanate, wherein the acrylic resin includes hydroxyl-containing acrylic resin, and a weight ratio of the acrylic resin to the aliphatic polyisocyanate is 1/1 to 1/1.2, and a weight ratio of the hydroxyl-containing acrylic resin to the acrylic resin is 0.1/1 to 0.18/1.

Multi-layer articles and methods for producing the same

The present disclosure provides multi-layer articles that comprise a polyolefin component and a polymer blend attached to the polyolefin component, wherein the polymer blend includes (1) a propylene and α-olefin copolymer in an amount from about 15% to about 70% by weight of the polymer blend, and (2) a carbon monoxide-containing polyolefin-based copolymer in an amount from about 25% to about 85% by weight of the polymer blend. The polymer blend has an extractables fraction with pH higher than 5. Also provided are methods of bonding a first layer comprising polyvinyl chloride to a second layer comprising the disclosed polymer blend.

Seals for Optical Components

An electronic device may have optical components that each have first and second transparent layers such as first and second glass layers. The glass layers may have outer surfaces that face away from each other and inner surfaces that face towards each other. A polymer layer is formed between the inner surfaces of the glass layers. Along the periphery of each optical component, a hermetic seal is formed to protect the polymer material of the polymer layer. The seal may have a moisture barrier layer that is attached to the first and second glass layers. The moisture barrier layer may be supported by an elastomeric buffer member. The moisture barrier layer may be formed from metal film or a polymer layer or other substrate that is coated with a moisture-impermeable coating. The moisture-impermeable coating may be formed from one or more thin-film metal layers and/or one more thin-film dielectric layers.

A composition for forming an adhesive film for imprinting contains a resin having a polymerizable group; and a solvent, in which the resin has at least one kind of a repeating unit derived from a polymerizable compound having a C log P value less than or equal to 0, and solubility of the resin in water at 25° C. is greater than or equal to 1 mass %, provided that the C log P value is a coefficient showing affinity of an organic compound with respect to water and 1-octanol.

The polymeric coating composition can include an ethylene-based polymer that exhibits desirable melting properties and molecular weight distribution. A PSA sheet having a PSA layer is provided. The PSA layer comprises at least 95% base polymer by weight and has a chloride ion amount of less than 300 μg per gram of pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, determined by hot water extraction.

A composite foam article is disclosed herein. The composite foam article comprises a polyurethane foam core presenting a first surface and a second surface facing opposite the first surface. A first skin is disposed on the first surface and a second skin is disposed on the second surface. The first and second skins comprise a plurality of fibers and a polymeric binder. The composite foam article also comprises at least one supplemental layer comprising an ethylene and acrylic acid copolymer dispersed in and/or disposed between any of said aforementioned skins and core.

An extruded multilayer film includes a top layer comprising a blend of a polyolefin and adsorbent silica. The adsorbent silica is 5% or more of the blend and the polyolefin is 95% or less of the blend. The multilayer film is oriented in at least one direction to cause fracturing of the top layer to provide a microporous surface exposing the adsorbent silica gel. The fractured top layer is receptive to receiving a printing ink on an exposed surface thereof with enhanced pigment entrapment and rapid ink drying. A single layer film in the form of the top layer, and also oriented in at least one direction also constitutes a part of this invention.
