A multilayer shrink film comprising at least one core layer positioned between a first skin layer and a second skin layer, wherein the multilayer shrink film comprising an ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer composition and a low density polyethylene.

THERMOPLASTIC FILMS AND BAGS WITH COLOR CHANGING INDICATORS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME

The present disclosure relates to a thermoplastic film that includes a layer of thermoplastic material and a color indicator applied to the thermoplastic material. The color indicator can be configured to change color in response to a trigger. For example, the color indicator can change color (e.g., change from a first color to a second color) in response to a color change trigger, such as exposure to malodor particles, absorption of moisture, a length of time, or as a result of oxidation. In one or more embodiments, the thermoplastic film further includes an odor control component configured to mask, neutralize, or otherwise control malodors. The color indicator can change its color appearance as the odor control component performs to control any present malodors, thus signaling the performance of the odor control component.

GAS-BARRIER LAYERED BODY AND PACKAGING BODY

Provided is a gas barrier laminate including: a paper substrate; an anchor coat layer including a first polyolefin having a polar group; a vapor-deposited layer; and an overcoat layer including a second polyolefin having a polar group, in order.

A composite package includes a first container and a second container. The first container includes a fiber-based component. The second container includes a film component and forms a primary product cavity of composite package. The film component includes a mineral oil barrier and a sealant. The mineral oil barrier includes a polymeric film, an inorganic oxide coating, and a layer. The inorganic oxide coating is located on the polymeric film. The layer includes a vinyl alcohol polymer. The vinyl alcohol polymer is located on a surface of the inorganic oxide coating.

High-shrink, high-strength multilayer film

A multilayer, heat-shrinkable film has a first portion containing an outer heat seal layer and a second portion containing a PVDC barrier layer and a second outer layer comprising polyester. Both film portions comprise polymer networks which are strained by solid-state orientation, but only the first portion contains a crosslinked polymer network. The film has (i) a total free shrink at 85° C. of at least 90% and (ii) an instrumented impact energy-to-break of at least 0.0.65 J/mil and/or an instrumented impact peak load of at least 70 N/mil. The film is primarily made from ethylene-based polymers. Packaging articles can be made by sealing the film to itself. The film comprises no polyamide or polyamide in an amount up to 10 wt %, on a total film weight basis.

Liquid-Absorbing Barrier Bag with Adhered Swelling Absorbent
20230302768 · 2023-09-28 · ·

A liquid-absorbing, liquid barrier bag comprising a liquid-permeable envelope within which a super-absorbent material in powder or granular form is disposed, the absorbent material being characterized in that it greatly increases in volume upon liquid absorption. The super-absorbent material is adhered to one or more of the inner surfaces of the liquid-permeable envelope such that the desired distribution and pattern is maintained during handling, shipping and activation of the liquid-absorbing. Upon contact with liquid, such as by soaking the bag in water, the super-absorbent material releases from the inner surfaces and swells to create a three-dimensional body suitable for stacking to form a liquid-impermeable barrier wall.
