The presently disclosed subject matter is generally directed to packaging film and packages constructed from water-dispersible and/or biodegradable material. The water-dispersible and biodegradable package consists of a first layer of a water-dispersible material constituting an interior of the package, and a second layer of a biodegradable material constituting the exterior of the package. The package may have printed indicium printed onto the exterior of the package.
Laminated packaging material, packaging containers manufactured therefrom
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing of a laminated cellulose-based liquid or semi-liquid food packaging material, wherein the laminated packaging material has a bulk material layer of paper, paperboard or other cellulose-based material, an innermost, heat sealable and liquid-tight layer of a thermoplastic polymer, the innermost polymer layer intended to be in direct contact with the packaged food product, a barrier layer laminated between the bulk layer and the innermost layer. The invention further relates the laminated packaging materials obtained by the method and to a packaging container for liquid food packaging, comprising the laminated packaging material or being made from the laminated packaging material obtained by the method.
Cosmetic containers and methods of manufacture
Methods of manufacturing and fixtures for manufacturing containers, particularly for holding cosmetic products, using thin-walled tubes. One end of a container may be formed using an integral process, such as insert molding, while the other end of the container is formed using assembly steps, such as welding, to form a completed cosmetics container from a thin-walled tube.
Multilayer package structure for ozone scavenging
A package arrangement comprising a structure formed by a plurality of layers including an outer layer formed of a polymer material, one or more interior layers formed of a semi-aromatic polyamide composite material, and an inner layer formed of a polymer material, and an amount of water contained within the structure, the water including an amount of ozone dissolved therein, wherein the interior layer of the structure is configured to absorb oxygen and induce the degradation of the ozone.
Multilayer structures having improved recyclability
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to multilayer structures. The multilayer structures may include a first layer and a barrier layer. The first layer may include, based on the total weight of the first layer, from 90 wt. % to 99.5 wt. % of an ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer having a density of from 0.945 g/cc to 0.970 g/cc and from 0.5 wt. % to 10 wt. % of a compatibilizer. The compatibilizer may include an anhydride and/or carboxylic acid functionalized ethylene/alpha-olefin elastomer having a density of from 0.850 g/cc to 0.910 g/cc and a melt viscosity of greater than 200,000 cP, when measured at 177 C.
COMPOSTABLE CONTAINER FOR STORING FLUIDS
A fully compostable container is provided having an enclosed body with an opening through an interior surface and an exterior surface. The enclosed body having a plant fiber structural layer configured to biodegrade in ambient conditions into nontoxic residue and a fluid barrier layer formed on a first side of the structural layer to form the interior surface of the enclosed body, the fluid barrier layer configured to biodegrade in ambient conditions into nontoxic residue. The container is gradually biodegradable when exposed to a set of factors in a natural environment and has a shelf life of six months when stored under standard commercial conditions.
Multi-layered container
A multilayer container having a layer configuration of 3 or more layers including, as layered in that order from an inner layer to an outer layer, an oxygen-permeable layer containing an oxygen-permeable resin as the main component thereof, an oxygen-absorbing adhesive layer containing, as the main components thereof, an oxygen-absorbing resin composition containing a deoxidant composition and a thermoplastic resin and an adhesive resin, and a gas-barrier layer containing a gas-barrier resin as the main component thereof, wherein the gas-barrier resin is a polyamide resin including a diamine unit containing a metaxylylenediamine unit in an amount of 70 mol % or more and a dicarboxylic acid unit containing 75 to 96 mol % of an α,ω-linear aliphatic dicarboxylic acid unit having 4 to 20 carbon atoms and 25 to 4 mol % of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid unit, the content of the deoxidant composition in the oxygen-absorbing adhesive layer is 5 to 50% by mass relative to 100% by mass of the material constituting the oxygen-absorbing adhesive layer, the content of the adhesive resin is 20 to 70% by mass relative to 100% by mass of the material constituting the oxygen-absorbing adhesive layer, and the thickness of the oxygen-absorbing adhesive layer is 10 to 30% of the total thickness of the multilayer container.
Multilayer single-dose easy open bottle with PE/PET/PP configuration and pre-cut top
In the alcohol market or in the liquor industries, it is common to find that the packaging activity is carried out in glass bottles and on some occasions in PET (POLYETHYLENE TEREPHALATE) and PP (POLYPROPYLENE) type containers. In the case of these latter packages, there are problems of conservation of quality, aroma and flavor, since they give off particles because they are not completely resistant to alcohol. Now, glass bottles are the most used since thanks to their 10 barrier property they preserve the flavor and quality of these kinds of drinks for longer, maintaining the level of alcohol, aroma and flavor from bottling but having serious transport and packaging problems. The present invention provides a bottle of a new multilayer material in 15 that is packaged in a smaller dose than conventional ones, also called single-dose liquor or spirits, in which the preservation of the liquor is guaranteed for a prolonged period thanks to the incorporation of a technical solution that does not allow the release of particles in the drink for up to 27 months. Likewise, the new bottle has an easy open system that allows guaranteeing the non-reuse of the packaging to pack adulterated liquor, which is a frequent problem in the liquor industry.
Heat-shrinkable multilayer film and heat shrinkable label
The present invention provides a heat shrinkable multilayer film that has excellent adhesiveness between front and back layers and an interlayer, effectively prevents delamination, and is less likely to have white creases on folds. The present invention also provides a heat shrinkable label formed from the heat shrinkable multilayer film. The present invention relates to a heat shrinkable multilayer film, including: front and back layers each containing a polyester resin; an interlayer containing a polystyrene resin; and adhesive layers, wherein the front and back layers and the interlayer are stacked with the adhesive layers interposed therebetween, and the adhesive layers each contain 50 to 95% by weight of a polystyrene resin and 5 to 50% by weight of a polyester elastomer.
