METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR TREATING INFLAMMATORY GASTROINTESTINAL DISORDERS

The present disclosure provides methods for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) or an eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorder (EGID), such as eosinophilic esophagitis (EOE), eosinophilic gastritis (EG), eosinophilic gastroenteritis (EGE), and eosinophilic colitis (EC). In particular, the present disclosure provides methods for the treatment of IBD or an EGID through administration of antibodies that bind to human Siglec-8 or compositions comprising said antibodies. The present disclosure also provides articles of manufacture or kits comprising antibodies that bind to human Siglec-8 for the treatment of IBD or an EGID.

Methods for treating eosinophilic esophagitis by administering an IL-4R inhibitor

The present invention provides methods for treating, preventing or reducing the severity of eosinophilic esophagitis. The methods of the present invention comprise administering to a subject in need thereof a therapeutic composition comprising an interleukin-4 receptor (IL-4R) inhibitor such as an anti-IL-4R antibody.

FLAVANONES FOR USE IN TREATING VISCERAL HYPERSENSITIVITY

The present invention relates to compounds of formula (I), such as hesperitin-7-rutinoside 2S, for use in the treatment of visceral hypersensitivity. Compounds and compositions of the invention are particularly useful in the treatment of visceral hyper-sensitivity in a subject having irritable bowel syndrome or age-associated low grade systemic inflammation of the gut, but lacking spasmodic intestinal contractions.

Methods for Treating Conditions Associated with MASP-2 Dependent Complement Activation

In one aspect, the invention provides methods of inhibiting the effects of MASP-2-dependent complement activation in a living subject. The methods comprise the step of administering, to a subject in need thereof, an amount of a MASP-2 inhibitory agent effective to inhibit MASP-2-dependent complement activation. In some embodiments, the MASP-2 inhibitory agent inhibits cellular injury associated with MASP-2-mediated alternative complement pathway activation, while leaving the classical (C1q-dependent) pathway component of the immune system intact. In another aspect, the invention provides compositions for inhibiting the effects of lectin-dependent complement activation, comprising a therapeutically effective amount of a MASP-2 inhibitory agent and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.

Coiled coil immunoglobulin fusion proteins and compositions thereof

Disclosed herein are immunoglobulin fusion proteins comprising a first antibody region, a first therapeutic agent, and a first connecting peptide; wherein the first therapeutic agent is attached to the first antibody region by the connecting peptide; and wherein the connecting peptide does not comprise a region having beta strand secondary structure. The connecting peptide may comprise an extender peptide. The extender peptide may have an alpha helical secondary structure. The connecting peptide may comprise a linker peptide. The linker peptide may not comprise any secondary structure. Also disclosed herein are compositions comprising the immunoglobulin fusion proteins and methods for using the immunoglobulin fusion proteins for the treatment or prevention of a disease or condition in a subject.
