METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING DOCUMENTS
A method and a device for producing a document and a document produced in a corresponding manner are presented, said document being produced from a paper reel (1), being printed in a continuous rotary method, being divided into partial webs (4.1 to 4.4) and being assembled to form a document which is ready for use and has a plurality of sheets or pages. The thickness of individual pages or sheets of said document can be increased by the fact that a gluing machine (26) is integrated into the production process of said document, the gluing machine gluing individual page sections, individual pages or entire sheets of said document to one another. A second paper reel or second type of paper or second paper quality having a higher paper thickness or paper quality is therefore unnecessary.

Method for cutting, printing or embossing
The invention relates to an apparatus and method for cutting, printing or embossing a continuous sheet of material. The apparatus comprises a tool element, at least two anvils, which are co-operable with the tool element, and a phase adjustment device. The tool element is configured to have a constant surface speed during operation of the apparatus. The apparatus is adapted to receive the continuous sheet at a constant speed into the apparatus, and being adapted to output the continuous sheet at a constant speed from the apparatus. The phase adjustment device is operable to adjust a speed of the continuous sheet within the apparatus in order to adjust a phase of alternate parts of the continuous sheet to be cut, printed or embossed by each anvil as it co-operates with the tool element.

PROCESSING MACHINE AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTING A PROCESSING LENGTH OF A SHAPING UNIT OF A PROCESSING MACHINE
In some examples, a processing machine for processing a substrate includes at least one shaping unit. The at least one shaping unit includes at least one forme cylinder and at least one impression cylinder. A processing point for processing a substrate is arranged between the at least one forme cylinder and the at least one impression cylinder. The processing machine includes a control unit for correcting a processing length of the substrate, and which controls a speed of at least one of the at least one forme cylinder or the at least one impression cylinder. The at least one forme cylinder and the at least one impression cylinder have a speed ratio with respect to one another that is changeable at the processing point as a function of the processing length of the substrate, and the speed ratio differs at least once within a full cylinder revolution.
PROCESSING MACHINE AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTING A PROCESSING LENGTH OF A SHAPING UNIT OF A PROCESSING MACHINE
In some examples, a processing machine for processing a substrate includes at least one shaping unit. The at least one shaping unit includes at least one forme cylinder and at least one impression cylinder. A processing point for processing a substrate is arranged between the at least one forme cylinder and the at least one impression cylinder. APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR THE POST-PROCESSING OF SEQUENTIALLY PRINTED SHEETS
An apparatus and method for the post-processing of successively following, sequentially printed sheets, includes a conveyor, a folding table, a folding sword, a folding roller pair, at least one pressing-down mechanism, and a machine control that is operatively connected to the folding sword and the pressing-down mechanism. The pressing-down mechanism includes at least one mechanical braking element which acts in the region of the back edge onto the top side of the printed sheet to be positioned on the folding table. The stationary folding sword includes a compressed-air device with at least one outlet opening for compressed air which is focused onto a folding roller gap. The folding table forms a gathering device for at least two successively following printed sheets. A sensor, arranged in a region of the conveyor, is operatively connected to the machine control and functions to detect the printed sheets, transported with the conveyor.

Device for treating substrates
A device for treating substrates has a separation system, with which processed substrates can be separated into one or more waste parts and at least one blank. The device for treating substrates offers improved flexibility. The separation system comprises a transport cylinder and a stripping cylinder associated therewith. The transport cylinder is able to secure replaceable packing, along with first and second openings which, when the packing is secured, are covered at least partially by perforations that may be formed in the packing. A first air supply supplies air to the first openings and a second air supply supplies air to the second openings independently of the supply of the air to the first openings. The first and the second air supply are switchable between a suction air supply and a blower air supply.
