Roller arrangement, a method of forming a pattern, a method of printing a pattern and apparatus for printing a pattern
A roller arrangement for printing apparatus comprises a first roller. The first roller comprises a plurality of cells. Each of the plurality of cells receives an amount of a coating material. The roller arrangement further comprises an extractor to remove at least a portion of the coating material from a selected set of the plurality of the cells.
DEVICE FOR APPLYING A FLUID TO A ROLLER
A fluid distribution device, for applying a fluid onto a transfer roller (2), comprises an elongated chamber (10), at least one inlet (31) for letting a fluid into the chamber (10), a longitudinal opening extending in the axial direction and adapted to face a transfer roller (2) so as to allow fluid to exit the chamber and contact the transfer roller, and at least one wiper blade (11) extending along at least a portion of the longitudinal opening. The chamber comprises, at each of the two axial ends of the chamber, a wall (15) separating the chamber (10) from a cavity (16), wherein the wall (15) has a wall surface (15A) arranged to face the transfer roller (2) when the device is in use, the wall (15) being dimensioned so that the wall surface (15A) will be distanced from the transfer roller when the device is in use, so as to allow fluid to be present in a gap (20) between the wall surface (15A) and the transfer roller.
Pattern-free anilox inking system and method
In a digital inking system having an anilox member that carries a patterned metered layer of ink to a digital imaging member, and a doctor blade that removes excess ink from the surface of the anilox member resulting in the patterned metered layer, an overfill form roller in rolling contact with the anilox member adds an overcoat layer of ink on the patterned metered layer for transfer of both layers of ink to the digital imaging member. The overcoat layer of ink uniformly covers all regions of the anilox member and the mattered metered layer of ink, including lands of the anilox cell walls to make the combined layers of ink pattern-free.
LOW-VOLUME FLEXOGRAPHIC INKING SYSTEM
An inking system for use in transferring ink to a flexographic printing plate in a flexographic printing system includes an anilox member having an ink transfer zone located between first and second recessed bearing contact zones. A radius of the recessed bearing contact zones is less than a radius of the ink transfer zone by at least 0.100 inches. An ink tray includes a floor and first and second end walls. Bearings are mounted outside of the end walls which engage with the first and second bearing contact zones, respectively, thereby positioning the ink tray assembly in a specified position relative to the anilox member. Upper edges of the end walls extend into the recessed bearing contact zones.
MAIN BODY OF A DOCTOR BLADE CHAMBER, DOCTOR BLADE CHAMBER THEREOF AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING SAME
A main body of doctor blade chambers including a first portion configured to hold a first doctor blade, a second portion configured to hold a second doctor blade, a third portion connecting the first portion and the second portion, a cavity intended to receive ink and defined at least by the first portion, the second portion and the third portion, characterized in that the main body is a single closed hollow profile extending along a longitudinal main axis X-X, the main body being made of pultruded composite material.
Apparatus for flexographic printing and an inlet module
The present disclosure relates to an apparatus for flexographic printing of a web of packaging material with printing ink and an inlet module for a flexographic printing apparatus. The apparatus may include an ink pan or chamber, and an anilox roll rotary at least partly inside the ink chamber for picking up and transferring printing ink from the ink chamber to an impression cylinder which is rotary in transfer contact with the anilox roll. The ink chamber may be elongated and extend axially along the anilox roll, the ink chamber having a first axial end and a second axial end opposite the first axial end. The apparatus may further include a first printing ink inlet arranged at the first axial end and a second printing ink inlet arranged at the second axial end.
Liquid transfer apparatus
A liquid transfer apparatus includes: rollers configured to transfer supplied liquid to a blanket cylinder; a roller holding device configured to detachably hold the rollers and perform a rotating operation to move any one of the rollers to a predetermined position facing the blanket cylinder; and a contact-separation unit configured to bring the roller held by the roller holding device and disposed at the predetermined position into and out of contact with the blanket cylinder.
DEVICE FOR COATING PANELS, PRINTING PRESS, AND METHOD FOR COATING PANELS
A device coats one or more panels, printed by a coating means, which applies particularly a varnish or a primer. The device utilizes a forme roller which can be brought into rolling contact with the print stock to be coated, in the region of a contact zone, in order to coat the print stock on a side of the print stock facing the forme roller, and also utilizes a feed device supplying the forme roller with coating medium, which interacts, in the region of at least one contact zone on the circumference of the forme roller, with the forme roller, in order to continuously apply the coating medium, which is to be applied to the print stock, to a shell surface of the forme roller to an application width. A removal device, having removal elements, is associated with the forme roller and by the use of which removal device, the coating medium previously applied continuously to the shell surface, over the application width via the feed device, can be removed from the shell surface, before a downstream delivery to the print stock, which removal is, in one or in a plurality of partial width sections, relative to the application width, synchronized to one of a machine and a print stock phase position for one of defined and definable phase lengths. A method for coating and a printing press having a coating device are also disclosed.
Sealing Element for a Doctor Blade Chamber
The invention relates to a sealing element for an ink chamber of a rotary printing press, wherein the sealing element has a sealing surface that rests against a roller body during operation of the rotary printing press. In order to reduce wear on the sealing element, the sealing surface has at least one flow outlet opening, at which an overpressure of a fluid may be built up during operation of the rotary printing press, in such a way that the fluid between the sealing surface and roller body forms a sealing flow film.
