COLOR CORRECT IMAGING
Systems and methods for providing remote approval of an image for printing are provided. One system includes a processing circuit in communication with an image capturing device that is configured to capture an image of a printed product. The processing circuit is configured to process the captured image into a processed image accurate to within a tolerance in a color space to indicate the visual appearance of one or more colors. The color space is a standardized color space, such as sRGB or CIELAB. The processing circuit is further configured to transmit the processed image to a display located remote from the image capturing device and to receive an input signal from a remote input device to allow a user to approve or reject the displayed processed image for printing on a print device.
Device for printing on hollow bodies
A device for printing on hollow bodies has a plurality of printing units each having a printing cylinder. At least one of the printing units has an inking unit having a chambered doctor blade that provides printing ink. The chambered doctor blade system has at least one ink pan and a doctor blade holder in a single assembly. The single assembly of the chambered doctor blade system is retained in the inking unit only on one side. The assembly of the chambered doctor blade system forms a cantilever arm on a side frame of the inking unit. The assembly of the chambered doctor blade system can be moved axially parallel to the anilox roller and can be removed from the inking unit by that movement.

Anilox roll with low surface energy zone
An anilox roll with low surface energy zone includes a cylinder having a curved contact surface, an ink transfer zone formed on a first portion of the curved contact surface, and a low surface energy zone formed on a second portion of the curved contact surface. The ink transfer zone includes a plurality of cells configured to transfer ink. The low surface energy zone includes a hydrophobic surface with a contact angle of at least 75 degrees and a surface roughness of less than 100 micrometers.
Ink supply method and ink supply device
After the end of a preceding print job, a printing press is stopped, and ink form rollers (6-1 to 6-4) of an ink roller group (6) are thrown off. After that, a printing plate (7) is exchanged with a printing plate (7) of a next print job, and a blanket (91) mounted on a blanket cylinder (9) is cleaned. The opening amounts of ink fountain keys (4-1 to 4-n) corresponding to the image of the printing plate (7) of the next print job are obtained. The obtained opening amounts of the ink fountain keys (4-1 to 4-n) are corrected by correction values of the opening amounts of the ink fountain keys (4-1 to 4-n) considering the influence of cleaning of the blanket (91) to obtain corrected opening amounts. In a state in which the opening amounts of the ink fountain keys (4-1 to 4-n) have been set to the corrected opening amounts, a corrected ink film thickness distribution corresponding to the image of the printing plate (7) of the next print job is formed on the ink roller group (6).
Ink feed device comprising an ink blade
An ink feed device includes an ink blade, a mounting device for the precise mounting of an ink blade and a system for feeding and dosing printing ink. The system includes an ink feed device and a mounting device. A method is provided for renewing a dosing edge of an ink blade, which edge is used to dose the ink. A method for operating an ink feed device, and including an ink blade, is also provided.
