INK DISPENSING SYSTEM USING PRESSURE
This document discloses a system to dispense a precise and continuous amount of ink for a large printing press. The dispensing system can be judiciously combined into a more elaborate dispensing system that uses two chambers with ink having a different density to dispense ink with a precise, adjustable and stable ink density. The dispensing system can be used to compensate the drifts in quality observed in presses when the speed, or any environmentable parameters vary.

LINEAR INK DISPENSING SYSTEM
This invention discloses an ink dispensing system for a printer using the nip area between the inking cylinder and the gravure/anilox cylinder as the sole source of inking. Our solution solves the problem of reducing the amount of ink present in the inking buffer, i.e. the nip area, of such printing machines, thereby accelerating the reaction time of an ink replacement and reducing the amount of waste and the cleaning time. The idea behind the invention is to provide ink to the nip area at selected locations when needed by using a dispensing apparatus that moves along the nip area.

Digital ink duct for a press, digital ink supply system and application method thereof
The present invention discloses a digital ink duct for a printing press, comprising an ink tank for storing ink, a main ink pipe that communicates with the ink tank, at least one metering-type ink delivery device, ink delivery pipes, a controller and a signal acquisition device. In the present invention, high-accuracy, metering-type ink delivery devices are arranged in a queue to form a digital ink duct which replaces the traditional ink duct and supplies ink for the ink zones. The present invention can perform accurate adjustment in real time, is high in automation and digitalization degree, and can realize one-way ink delivery and avoid ink return.

Container decorating machine having a plurality of independent print workstations
A turret styled container decorator machine is disclosed having a rotatable turret and a number of circumferentially spaced container holding assemblies for holding a variety of pieces of media, such as a drink container, the surface of which is to be printed upon with an image. A plurality of workstations are positioned around the perimeter of the turret through which each media holder passes as the turret rotates. Each workstation includes an ink printing assembly and a curing assembly so that ink may be applied and cured as each piece of media is indexed into each workstation location. Each printing workstation may be removed and replaced with a different arrangement or configuration of ink heads to suit different types of media sizes and shapes, and the turret holds a plurality of media holding means assigned to a pie-shaped section of the turret adjustable to accommodate various types of media geometries.

SLOT DIE WITH VARIABLE MANIFOLDS AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREOF
Provided is a slot die with variable manifolds and a controlling method thereof. The slot die with the variable manifolds, which applies ink on a substrate to perform a coating process, includes: a first body having a length corresponding to a width of the substrate and having a cavity configured to accommodate the ink supplied from the outside; a second body having a length corresponding to the first body and having an discharge port, from which the ink is discharged, formed in one side thereof when the second body is coupled to the first body; a plurality of variable manifolds disposed in the cavity in a width direction of the substrate and installed so as to reciprocate in the cavity; and a plurality of manifold drivers disposed at one side of the first body and connected to the plurality of variable manifolds to allow the plurality of variable manifolds to reciprocate, respectively, wherein each of the plurality of variable manifolds is independently driven according to a state of the ink coated on the substrate and adjusts a partial discharge amount of the ink discharged from the discharge port by changing a partial volume of the cavity at an arrangement position thereof.
Pattern-free anilox inking system and method
In a digital inking system having an anilox member that carries a patterned metered layer of ink to a digital imaging member, and a doctor blade that removes excess ink from the surface of the anilox member resulting in the patterned metered layer, an overfill form roller in rolling contact with the anilox member adds an overcoat layer of ink on the patterned metered layer for transfer of both layers of ink to the digital imaging member. The overcoat layer of ink uniformly covers all regions of the anilox member and the mattered metered layer of ink, including lands of the anilox cell walls to make the combined layers of ink pattern-free.
