PRINTING DEVICE AND COLOR DEVELOPMENT CONTROLLING METHOD
To appropriately color develop ink according to a print condition even when carrying out the printing step and the color developing step in a series of steps. A printing device includes a printing machine that discharges an ink to a print medium and a color developing machine that heats the print medium, on which the ink discharged by the printing machine is attached, to color develop the ink. The printing device includes a controller that adjusts at least one of a heating time and a heating temperature of the print medium by the color developing machine according to at least one of a transporting speed of the print medium transported from the printing machine and an amount of the ink which is discharged.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ALIGNING AN INKER OF A DECORATOR
An apparatus and methods of decorating a metallic container are provided. More specifically, the present invention relates to apparatus and methods used to provide a decoration on a predetermined portion of a metallic container body. The decorator includes a sensor that senses decorations on metallic containers. A control system receives information related to the sensed decorations from the sensor and then determines if the decorations at least meet predetermined color, density, thickness, orientation, and consistency targets. The control system can automatically adjust elements of the decorator to correct a deficient decoration. In one embodiment, the control system can automatically adjust ink blades associated with a plurality of inking assemblies of the decorator to adjust the color, density, orientation, positioning, and consistency of decorations transferred to the metallic containers. In another embodiment, the control system can adjust a position of an inking assembly, an ink roller, a plate cylinder, a printing plate, a blanket cylinder, and a transfer blanket of the decorator.
Can printing apparatus and can inspection device
An image processor 53 processing taken images includes an image inspection means 54 for inspecting whether printing is performed properly as compared with a master image by using the image of the entire can taken by a first camera, a density measurement means 55 for measuring densities in designated positions for respective colors also by using the image of the entire can taken by the first camera, and a printing misalignment value measurement means 56 for measuring misalignment values with respect to set positions of printing misalignment inspection marks printed on an opening-side end portion of a can for respective colors by using the image of the opening-side end portion of the can taken by the second camera.
Method for controlling the operation of a printing press and a flexographic printing press for implementing said method
The present invention relates to a method for controlling the operation of a printing press and a flexographic printing press for implementing said method, wherein the method comprises performing the following steps: a) capturing information from at least one image printed by said printing press; and b) comparing said information captured from said printed image with at least some digital-format information predetermined in prepress, or digital prepress information, including at least one part of the image to be printed. The method comprises adjusting the pressure and/or register setting of one or more printing units of the printing press, using at least the result of the comparison in said step b). The press is designed in order to implement the method.
COLOR CORRECT IMAGING
Systems and methods for providing remote approval of an image for printing are provided. One system includes a processing circuit in communication with an image capturing device that is configured to capture an image of a printed product. The processing circuit is configured to process the captured image into a processed image accurate to within a tolerance in a color space to indicate the visual appearance of one or more colors. The color space is a standardized color space, such as sRGB or CIELAB. The processing circuit is further configured to transmit the processed image to a display located remote from the image capturing device and to receive an input signal from a remote input device to allow a user to approve or reject the displayed processed image for printing on a print device.
REMOTE ADJUSTMENT OF PRINT SETTINGS
Systems and methods for providing remote approval of an image for printing are provided. Method for dynamic printing process calibration
A method for the dynamic printing process calibration of a printing press includes determining a calibration dataset for the colored halftones of the process colors, determining a calibration dataset for the gray halftones of the process colors, determining a weighting factor for the two calibration datasets as a function of the original print and calculating a combined calibration dataset from the two determined calibration datasets, with reference to the weighting factor. The calculated combined calibration dataset is applied to the calibration of the printing process of a printing press.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR THE CONTROL AND THE MANAGEMENT OF THE PRINTING PARAMETERS OF A FLEXOGRAPHIC PRINTING MACHINE
The present invention relates to a device or method for detecting and adjusting the printing parameters in flexographic printing machines.
